Hack terminals are the lone pillars planted all over the Palpagos Islands, and cracking one open hands you a schematic, a Disposable Implant or a handbook you would otherwise have to grind a loot pool for. There are **106** of them, and this page pins every single one to the fast travel point you should warp to, then breaks down each lock you have to beat before the panel opens.

## Hack Terminals at a Glance

| Detail | What you're looking at |
| --- | --- |
| Terminals on the map | **106**, every one of them on the main Palpagos map |
| World Tree region | None — the whole set is on the surface world |
| Locked terminals | **73** |
| Terminals standing open | **33** — walk up, hold the button, done |
| Lock types | Hacking minigame (42) · Sealing stones (13) · Guard Pal (18) |
| Reward | A one-time schematic, implant or handbook, plus Dog Coins |
| Shortest walk from a statue | **62 m** |
| Median walk from a statue | **284 m** |
| Longest walk from a statue | 750 m, the pillar out past Ruined Fortress City |

The two numbers that decide how you farm these: **73 of the 106 are locked**, and the median terminal sits **284 m from a Great Eagle Statue**. That is close enough that you never need a route in the traditional sense — you warp, you walk for twenty seconds, you hack, you warp again. **62 of the 106** are inside 300 m of a statue. Only a handful are genuine hikes, and the worst of them still only asks for 750 m on foot. Bring a mount and the whole set is an afternoon.

## All 106 Hack Terminal Locations

Every terminal below is anchored to its closest Great Eagle Statue, with the walking distance and the direction to head once you land. Sort your run by whichever region you are already clearing. The complete set is plotted on the [Palworld interactive map](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=hackterminal), where you can tick each one off as you go and stack the [fast travel layer](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=hackterminal,fasttravel) on top to plan the warps.

## How to Open Every Hack Terminal

Four things can be sitting between you and the panel, and the game picks one per terminal — it never stacks two. Thirty-three pillars have nothing on them at all. The rest split into a hacking minigame, a ring of sealing stones, or a Pal that has to die before the barrier drops. None of them scale with your level, so a lock you cannot beat at level 20 is a lock you beat with better aim, not better gear.

### Hacking Minigame — 42 Terminals

The most common lock by a wide margin, and the only one with two different faces. One version asks you to **find the vulnerable spot on the lock ring**: turn it, watch how the lock reacts, and hold the button once you are on the right angle. The game is explicit that you get **unlimited attempts**, so there is no failure state — only patience. The other version is a **power-routing puzzle**: you drag a line from the power source through every grey panel and into the core panel, one continuous stroke, no panel skipped. There is a reset button, so a wrong path costs you nothing but a few seconds. Between them these cover **42 terminals**, more than the other three lock types combined.

### Sealing Stones — 13 Terminals

Thirteen pillars are ringed by a barrier that only drops when you shoot out the stones holding it up, and every one of these uses **exactly three stones**. They sit 11–31 m out from the pillar, spread around it, so you will have to circle the tower to line all three up — do not stand still hunting for them. Any weapon works, including a bow, so this is the one lock type you can clear at any point in the game with whatever you happen to be carrying. Three stones, three shots if you are accurate, barrier gone.

### Guard Pal — 18 Terminals

Eighteen terminals put a Pal in front of the panel, and walking into its trigger radius starts a **countdown**: kill everything before the clock runs out or the lock reseals and you start over. These Pals **cannot be captured**, so leave the spheres in your bag and bring damage instead. Feybreak is where this lock is concentrated — six of the eighteen are on that island, which fits, since it is the region you reach last with your best gear. Check which element the guard is weak to before you commit; a [type advantage](https://palworld-db.com/types) turns a tense timer into a formality.

### Terminals With No Lock At All — 33 Terminals

A full third of the map's hack terminals have nothing guarding them. No minigame, no stones, no Pal — you walk up, hold the interact button, and the reward is yours. These are the ones worth detouring for whenever you happen to warp near one, because they cost you nothing but the walk. **Sunreach Isle is the exception**: all seven of its terminals are locked, so budget time before you fly out there.

## Hack Terminal Rewards

Every terminal is a **one-time pickup**. Crack it, take what is inside, and it is spent for that world — there is no respawn timer to farm, which is exactly why the 106 locations above are worth working through once rather than revisiting. The pillar rolls a schematic, an implant or a handbook, and pays Dog Coins on top regardless of which one it lands on.

| Reward | What it is | Why you want it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Schematic](https://palworld-db.com/item/LaserGatlingGun) | One of the game's **590 schematics**, spread across five rarity tiers | Unlocks a stronger craftable version of a weapon, armour or structure. Every schematic in the game shares one scroll icon, so the art here is the Laser Gatling Gun — the thing a schematic actually builds |
| [Disposable Implant](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalPassiveSkillChange_Consumable_PAL_ALLAttack_up3) | One of **28 Disposable Implants**, all top-rarity | Stamps a specific passive onto a Pal instead of praying to the breeding dice — the fast route to [a perfect passive set](https://palworld-db.com/guides/best-passives-for-base-pals) |
| [Handbook](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientTechnologyBook_G1) | An Applied Handbook, or a Technical Manual like the Ancient one shown here | Handbooks permanently raise a Pal's work suitability; manuals cash straight into [Technology and Ancient Technology Points](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-get-technology-points) |
| [Dog Coins](https://palworld-db.com/item/DogCoin) | Weightless, stacks to 9,999, worth 10 Gold each at a trader | The Medal Shop currency — never sell them, they buy things gold cannot |

Rank them by what they cost you elsewhere. A **Disposable Implant** is the standout: implants otherwise trickle out of Ancient Relic recycling at odds under 1% a pull, so a free one off a pillar is genuinely hours saved. **Schematics** are the volume reward and the reason most players clear terminals at all — and if a terminal hands you a low-rarity one, it is not wasted, since five of the same schematic [upgrade into the next tier at the Drafting Table](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-upgrade-schematics). The **Dog Coins** look like the throwaway, but they are the only reward that stacks: 106 terminals is real money against a Medal Shop where a single Applied Handbook costs 300 coins.

### All 12 Applied Handbooks and What They Upgrade

There are twelve Applied Handbooks, one per work suitability, and every one of them is a top-rarity permanent upgrade for a single Pal. The Medal Shop sells all twelve at a flat **300 Dog Coins**, which is the cleanest way to price what a terminal just gave you. Handiwork and Transporting are the two most players want first, because those are the suitabilities that bottleneck a base no matter what else you fix.

Applied Handiwork Handbook I, Applied Mining Handbook I, Applied Lumbering Handbook I, Applied Transporting Handbook I, Applied Watering Handbook I, Applied Planting Handbook I, Applied Generating Electricity Handbook I, Applied Kindling Handbook I, Applied Cooling Handbook I, Applied Gathering Handbook I, Applied Medicine Production Handbook I, Applied Ranching Handbook I

> **Tip.** In co-op, a hack terminal only has to be cracked **once for the whole guild**. Unlike chests and eggs, the reward is not first-come-first-served — once one player opens the pillar, everyone else in the world can collect from it without redoing the puzzle. Split the map between you and clear four times as fast.

## Where to Start: Terminals That Come in Pairs

Seventeen fast travel points have more than one terminal in walking range, and those are the warps that pay for themselves. **Cinnamoth Forest** is the single best stop on the map with three pillars inside 275 m, two of which are already open. Clear these seventeen anchors first and you have 35 of the 106 done without ever taking a long walk.

| Fast travel point | Terminals | Locks | Walk |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Cinnamoth Forest | 3 | Open ×2 · Hacking minigame | 161–274 m |
| Ancient Civilization Ruins | 2 | Sealing stones · Open | 234–399 m |
| Crimson Cliffs | 2 | Hacking minigame · Open | 289–498 m |
| Crystallized Great Tree | 2 | Guard Pal · Open | 127–415 m |
| Deserted Ash Plateau | 2 | Guard Pal · Open | 401–490 m |
| Duneshelter | 2 | Hacking minigame · Sealing stones | 331–400 m |
| Hypocrite Hill | 2 | Hacking minigame · Open | 118–176 m |
| Icy Weasel Hill | 2 | Hacking minigame · Guard Pal | 302–475 m |
| Land of Absolute Zero | 2 | Hacking minigame · Open | 112–359 m |
| PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower Entrance | 2 | Sealing stones · Hacking minigame | 199–600 m |
| Ruined Fortress City | 2 | Sealing stones · Guard Pal | 296–750 m |
| Sakurajima - Northern Rock Field | 2 | Open ×2 | 216–453 m |
| Sand Dunes Entrance | 2 | Hacking minigame · Open | 288–516 m |
| Seaward Passage | 2 | Hacking minigame · Open | 274–395 m |
| Small Cove | 2 | Guard Pal · Open | 188–333 m |
| Waterlily Gorge | 2 | Sealing stones ×2 | 322–346 m |
| Whisperwind Hill | 2 | Hacking minigame ×2 | 284–359 m |

Two of these anchors are worth calling out. **Waterlily Gorge** on Sunreach Isle is the only pair where both terminals are sealing-stone locks, so warp in with a ranged weapon already equipped. **Ruined Fortress City** is the harshest pair on the list — a sealing-stone lock at 296 m and the map's most distant terminal at 750 m, with a guard Pal on it. Save that one for a trip you are making anyway, like a run at [the tower bosses](https://palworld-db.com/tower-bosses).
