Neutral is the element you start the game holding and never really put down — **36 of Palworld's 288 Pals carry the Neutral type**, and it is the only element on the chart that gets a damage bonus against absolutely nothing. This is the full list with every Neutral Pal's attack, best job and spawn count, plus the one element that tears through them, the strongest Neutral fighters and mounts, the base workers worth a slot, and where the good ones actually spawn.

## All 36 Neutral Type Pals

Neutral is the seventh-largest element of the nine, sitting between Ice at 38 Pals and Electric at 25. The awkward part is the matchup: **Dark is both Neutral's only weakness and the biggest roster in the game at 70 Pals**, so the element you lose to is also the one you meet most often. Six of the 36 are dual-typed — [Herbil](https://palworld-db.com/pal/herbil) and [Clovee](https://palworld-db.com/pal/clovee) pick up Grass, [Killamari Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/killamari-primo) and [Gloopie Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/gloopie-primo) pick up Water, and [Solenne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/solenne) and [Selyne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/selyne) pair Neutral with Dark itself.

| 190 | [Selyne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/selyne) | Dark / Neutral | 115 | Handiwork Lv. 7 | 40 pins — [view on map](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=MoonQueen) |
| 197 | [Hartalis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/hartalis) | Neutral | 130 | Gathering Lv. 7 | Raid boss only |
| 198 | [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius) | Neutral | 120 | Lumbering Lv. 6 | Alpha spawn only — [view on map](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=SaintCentaur) |

Attack in that table is the higher of each Pal's melee and ranged base value, so the numbers only make sense against other Pals — not against a weapon's damage figure. The spread is the widest of any element: Neutral owns the first three Paldeck slots at 70 attack apiece and also owns [Hartalis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/hartalis) at 130, which is the highest attack stat any Neutral Pal reaches. [Mimog](https://palworld-db.com/pal/mimog) is the odd one out with 60 HP — tied for the lowest in the game — behind 130 defence, which is 14th-best of all 288.

## Neutral Type Strengths and Weaknesses

Neutral is the simplest row on the [Palworld type chart](https://palworld-db.com/types) and the least generous: it has an empty **Strong vs** column. No element takes bonus damage from a Neutral move, which means a Neutral attacker is never the wrong pick and never the right one either — you get flat, predictable damage everywhere. The flip side is just as simple. Only **Dark** gets the ~1.5× bonus on a Neutral Pal, so exactly one team composition in the game genuinely hard-counters yours.

| Situation | Damage | What It Means for You |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Your Neutral move hits any Pal | 1× | The default — Neutral is the only element with nothing in its Strong vs row |
| Your Neutral move hits a Dark Pal | Reduced | The one bad matchup, and Dark is the game's biggest element at 70 Pals |
| A Dark move hits your Neutral Pal | ~1.5× taken | Bench Neutral for [Shadowbeak](https://palworld-db.com/pal/shadowbeak) and the rest of the Dark roster |
| Any other element hits your Neutral Pal | 1× | One weakness total, which ties Neutral for the fewest in the game |
| A Dark move hits [Solenne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/solenne) or [Selyne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/selyne) | ~1.5× taken | Dark/Neutral does not cancel — and Dragon hits them hard too, the only Neutral Pals with two weaknesses |

Neutral moves also carry no status effect at all. Burn, Soak, Freeze, Electrify and the rest each belong to some other element, and the [Palworld status effects guide](https://palworld-db.com/guides/all-status-effects) has the full ownership list — Neutral simply is not on it. If you are the one taking Dark hits, the [Ring of Neutral Resistance](https://palworld-db.com/item/Accessory_NormalResist_1) cuts what lands on you, and the [Neutral Support Whistle](https://palworld-db.com/item/Otomo_ElementBoost_Normal_1) pushes your own Neutral Pal's output the other way.

## Best Neutral Pals for Combat

Neutral does better in a fight than its type chart suggests, because two of its Pals are simply enormous statlines. [Hartalis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/hartalis) and [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius) both sit in **S tier on our [Palworld tier list](https://palworld-db.com/tier-list)**, and [Selyne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/selyne) is right behind them in A. What Neutral cannot do is exploit a weakness, so these three earn their place by being tanky and by riding well, not by matchup math.

| Pal | Attack | HP | Defence | Best Neutral Skill | Why Bring It |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Hartalis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/hartalis) | 130 | 135 | 110 | Sacred Rain (800) | Highest attack and second-highest HP in the element, and it rides at the same time |
| [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius) | 120 | 130 | 145 | Spear Thrust (700) | 145 defence is the third-highest of all 288 Pals — it simply refuses to die |
| [Selyne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/selyne) | 115 | 130 | 110 | Seigetsu Flash (700) | 130 HP plus a Dark half, so it can hit other Neutral Pals for bonus damage |
| [Solenne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/solenne) | 115 | 110 | 115 | Holy Burst (700) | The other Dark/Neutral pick, and the best Handiwork Pal in the game between fights |
| [Celesdir](https://palworld-db.com/pal/celesdir) | 110 | 120 | 100 | Holy Nova (700) | Cheapest strong Neutral body to actually obtain — 1,613 pins on the map |
| [Starryon Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/starryon-primo) | 105 | 110 | 100 | Royal Step (800) | Royal Step ties for the best sustained Neutral damage on a 30-second cycle |
| [Tetroise Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/tetroise-primo) | 100 | 95 | 140 | Holy Press (700) | 140 defence and a 200-stamina mount, built purely to soak hits |
| [Fenglope](https://palworld-db.com/pal/fenglope) | 110 | 110 | 90 | Holy Burst (700) | A level 25 alpha, so it is the earliest respectable Neutral body you can get |

[Hartalis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/hartalis) is the pick if you take one: 130 attack, 135 HP and the element's only 800-power move, on a body that also happens to be the seventh-fastest mount in the game. [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius) is the durability answer instead — **145 defence is third-highest of all 288 Pals**, behind only Panthalus and Astralym at 200. Both are late acquisitions, so the practical mid-game body is [Celesdir](https://palworld-db.com/pal/celesdir), which hits 110 attack and 120 HP and has 1,613 spawn pins to catch from.

### The Strongest Neutral Attack Skills

Thirty-five of the game's 300 active skills are Neutral, and the top of the list is unusually flat — nine of them tie at 700 power on a 30-second cooldown, which works out to 23.3 damage per second of cooldown. Only three moves break that ceiling, and two of them belong to Pals you fight rather than find.

| Skill | Power | Cooldown | Class | DPS | Who Learns It |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Megaton Implode | 1200 | 60s | Shot | 20.0 | Tocotoco |
| Royal Step | 800 | 30s | Melee | 26.7 | Starryon Primo |
| Sacred Rain | 800 | 30s | Shot | 26.7 | Hartalis |
| Holy Burst | 700 | 30s | Shot | 23.3 | 44 Pals |
| Silver Steed | 700 | 30s | Melee | 23.3 | Starryon Primo |
| Holy Press | 700 | 30s | Shot | 23.3 | Tetroise Primo |
| Holy Nova | 700 | 30s | Shot | 23.3 | Celesdir |
| Radiant Barrage | 700 | 30s | Shot | 23.3 | Celesdir, Hartalis, Paladius |
| Seigetsu Flash | 700 | 30s | Shot | 23.3 | Selyne |
| Divine Wing | 700 | 30s | Melee | 23.3 | Hartalis |
| Spear Thrust | 700 | 30s | Melee | 23.3 | Paladius |
| Moonlight Beam | 600 | 30s | Shot | 20.0 | Selyne |

**Megaton Implode** is the biggest single number in the element at 1,200 power, but the 60-second cooldown drags its sustained output below moves half its size — it is a burst opener, not a rotation. **Royal Step** and **Sacred Rain** are the real damage kings at 26.7 DPS each. The one you can actually plan around is **Holy Burst**: 44 Pals learn it naturally and there is a [Skill Fruit: Holy Burst](https://palworld-db.com/item/SkillCard_HolyBlast) for everything else, so any Neutral body can be pushed to the 700-power tier without breeding for it. The full move pool is on [the Palworld active skills list](https://palworld-db.com/active-skills).

## Best Neutral Pals for Base Work

This is where Neutral quietly out-earns its combat reputation. It does not own a job outright the way Electric owns Generating Electricity, but it puts a Pal at or near the top of six different work suitabilities — and one of them is the outright best worker in the game at that job.

| Pal | Work Suitability | Rank in That Job | Why It Works |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Solenne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/solenne) | Handiwork 8, Gathering 4, Transporting 2 | #1 of 109 | Handiwork Lv. 8 is the game ceiling — no Pal of any element beats it at a workbench |
| [Selyne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/selyne) | Handiwork 7, Medicine Production 6, Transporting 3 | #2 of 109 | Handiwork Lv. 7 and Medicine Production Lv. 6, so one Pal covers crafting and the sickbay |
| [Hartalis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/hartalis) | Gathering 7, Lumbering 7 | #3 of 109 | Gathering Lv. 7 and Lumbering Lv. 7 — the only Neutral Pal maxed in two jobs at once |
| [Starryon Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/starryon-primo) | Gathering 7 | #4 of 109 | Gathering Lv. 7 with nothing else to distract it from berry runs |
| [Celesdir](https://palworld-db.com/pal/celesdir) | Lumbering 7, Gathering 4 | #2 of 63 | Lumbering Lv. 7 plus Gathering Lv. 4, and it is far easier to catch than the two above it |
| [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius) | Lumbering 6, Mining 6 | #7 of 63 | Lumbering Lv. 6 and Mining Lv. 6 — the best single-Pal answer to wood and ore together |
| [Tetroise Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/tetroise-primo) | Mining 6 | #13 of 57 | Mining Lv. 6, the highest any Neutral Pal reaches at an ore node |
| [Sibelyx Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/sibelyx-primo) | Farming 4, Medicine Production 3 | #2 of 29 | Farming Lv. 4 is the cap for that job, and it makes High Quality Cloth at the ranch too |
| [Lapure](https://palworld-db.com/pal/lapure) | Handiwork 6, Gathering 5 | #7 of 109 | Handiwork Lv. 6 and Gathering Lv. 5 from a Pal you can catch in one spot |
| [Dogen](https://palworld-db.com/pal/dogen) | Handiwork 4, Gathering 3, Lumbering 3, Transporting 3, Medicine Production 2 | #32 of 140 | Five jobs at once — Handiwork, Gathering, Lumbering, Medicine Production and Transporting |

[Solenne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/solenne) at Handiwork Lv. 8 is the single most valuable Neutral Pal for a base: it is **#1 of the 109 Pals with any Handiwork rating**, and nothing in the game crafts faster at a workbench. [Selyne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/selyne) is the better all-rounder if you only have one slot, covering Handiwork, Medicine Production and Transporting at once. For raw resource throughput, [Celesdir](https://palworld-db.com/pal/celesdir) is the pick you can realistically get early-ish — Lumbering Lv. 7 is one rank off the cap and puts it second of 63 lumberjacks. Full rankings live on [the best Pals by job hub](https://palworld-db.com/best-pals) and its [Handiwork](https://palworld-db.com/best-pals/handiwork) and [Lumbering](https://palworld-db.com/best-pals/lumbering) pages.

## Best Neutral Mounts

Fourteen of the 36 take a saddle, and Neutral punches well above its size here — it lands three Pals inside the top 13 of all 115 rideable Pals, which no other element manages outside Dragon. The catch is the saddle level: the fast ones unlock in the 50s and 70s, so early Neutral riding means settling for something slower.

| Pal | Mount Type | Sprint | Stamina | Saddle | Rank |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Hartalis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/hartalis) | Ground | 1,900 | 400 | Lv. 70 | #7 of 115 |
| [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius) | Ground | 1,800 | 400 | Lv. 61 | #12 of 115 |
| [Selyne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/selyne) | Flying | 1,600 | 300 | Lv. 53 | #13 of 115 |
| [Starryon Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/starryon-primo) | Ground | 1,250 | 230 | Lv. 77 | #29 of 115 |
| [Celesdir](https://palworld-db.com/pal/celesdir) | Ground | 1,200 | 260 | Lv. 54 | #36 of 115 |
| [Yakumo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/yakumo) | Ground | 1,080 | 140 | Lv. 41 | #55 of 115 |
| [Direhowl](https://palworld-db.com/pal/direhowl) | Ground | 1,050 | 70 | Lv. 9 | #60 of 115 |
| [Fenglope](https://palworld-db.com/pal/fenglope) | Ground | 1,050 | 140 | Lv. 26 | #61 of 115 |
| [Kingpaca](https://palworld-db.com/pal/kingpaca) | Ground | 1,040 | 170 | Lv. 23 | #68 of 115 |
| [Grintale](https://palworld-db.com/pal/grintale) | Ground | 1,000 | 100 | Lv. 19 | #81 of 115 |
| [Eikthyrdeer](https://palworld-db.com/pal/eikthyrdeer) | Ground | 900 | 100 | Lv. 12 | #94 of 115 |
| [Melpaca](https://palworld-db.com/pal/melpaca) | Ground | 900 | 100 | Lv. 7 | #96 of 115 |
| [Nitewing](https://palworld-db.com/pal/nitewing) | Flying | 750 | 100 | Lv. 15 | #108 of 115 |
| [Tetroise Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/tetroise-primo) | Ground | 540 | 200 | Lv. 75 | #113 of 115 |

[Hartalis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/hartalis) at 1,900 sprint and 400 stamina is **#7 of 115** and the only Neutral Pal in the mount S tier — it also throws up a barrier while you ride it, which is what separates it from every other ground mount in this list. [Selyne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/selyne) is the flyer to build toward at #13, unlocking at saddle level 53 rather than Hartalis's 70. At the other end, [Direhowl](https://palworld-db.com/pal/direhowl) takes a saddle at **level 9**, which makes it the first proper mount most players ever ride. Full speed comparisons are on [the Palworld mount speed list](https://palworld-db.com/mount-speeds).

## Where to Find Neutral Pals

Neutral is the element you cannot avoid — it blankets the starting islands, and the low-level trio of [Lamball](https://palworld-db.com/pal/lamball), [Cattiva](https://palworld-db.com/pal/cattiva) and [Chikipi](https://palworld-db.com/pal/chikipi) are the first Pals almost everyone catches. The densest single population is [Tocotoco](https://palworld-db.com/pal/tocotoco) at 918 pins, clustered hardest around **Duneshelter** in the desert. The genuine outlier is [Mimog](https://palworld-db.com/pal/mimog), whose 5,302 pins are scattered across every landmass on the map rather than any one region — more spawn points than any other Neutral Pal by a factor of five.

Shares in that table are the percentage of a Pal's own pins that sit in its top region, so a high share means a short trip. [Herbil](https://palworld-db.com/pal/herbil) at 38.5% in one spot is the cleanest farm on the list. The ones missing from it are the ones that live off the starting islands — [Celesdir](https://palworld-db.com/pal/celesdir), [Selyne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/selyne), [Solenne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/solenne) and the Primo variants — and for those the map link is the fastest route. [Fenglope](https://palworld-db.com/pal/fenglope) is the rarest wild Neutral Pal on the base map at **11 pins**, all but one in the Deep Sand Dunes.

### All 8 Neutral Alpha Bosses

Eight of the 90 alphas on the map are Neutral, and they matter more than usual here because three of the element's best Pals — [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius), [Kingpaca](https://palworld-db.com/pal/kingpaca) and [Tetroise Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/tetroise-primo) — have no ordinary wild spawns at all. The alpha is the only place they exist. Alphas take reduced damage and hold a large health pool, so bring Dark attackers and expect a long fight.

| Alpha | Level | Top Job | Location |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Celesdir](https://palworld-db.com/pal/celesdir) | Lv. 65 | Lumbering Lv. 7 | [Alpha location](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=WhiteDeer) |
| [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius) | Lv. 60 | Lumbering Lv. 6 | [Alpha location](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=SaintCentaur) |
| [Tetroise Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/tetroise-primo) | Lv. 60 | Mining Lv. 6 | [Alpha location](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=CubeTurtle_Neutral) |
| [Lunaris](https://palworld-db.com/pal/lunaris) | Lv. 35 | Handiwork Lv. 4 | [Alpha location](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=Mutant) |
| [Fenglope](https://palworld-db.com/pal/fenglope) | Lv. 25 | Lumbering Lv. 3 | [Alpha location](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=FengyunDeeper) |
| [Kingpaca](https://palworld-db.com/pal/kingpaca) | Lv. 23 | Gathering Lv. 2 | [Alpha location](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=KingAlpaca) |
| [Nitewing](https://palworld-db.com/pal/nitewing) | Lv. 18 | Gathering Lv. 2 | [Alpha location](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=HawkBird) |
| [Grintale](https://palworld-db.com/pal/grintale) | Lv. 17 | Gathering Lv. 3 | [Alpha location](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=NaughtyCat) |

[Grintale](https://palworld-db.com/pal/grintale) at level 17 and [Nitewing](https://palworld-db.com/pal/nitewing) at level 18 are the two you can realistically clear on a first playthrough, and Nitewing is worth the trip early because it flies. [Celesdir](https://palworld-db.com/pal/celesdir) at level 65 is the hardest of the eight and the only one you never need to fight, since it also spawns wild in large numbers. The rest of the roster is on [the Palworld alpha Pals list](https://palworld-db.com/alpha-pals).

## Neutral Pals at the Ranch

Neutral supplies **8 of the game's 29 ranch Pals** — the largest share of any element, and more than double what Dark contributes. This is the real reason you keep a few of the starter Neutral Pals around long after they stop being useful in a fight: three of them are the game's entire wool supply, and the rest cover eggs, milk and cloth.

| Pal | Produces | Rank for That Item | Spawns |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Lamball](https://palworld-db.com/pal/lamball) | [Wool](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wool) | #1 | 351 pins |
| [Chikipi](https://palworld-db.com/pal/chikipi) | [Egg](https://palworld-db.com/item/Egg) | #1 | 274 pins |
| [Woolipop](https://palworld-db.com/pal/woolipop) | [Cotton Candy](https://palworld-db.com/item/Sweet) | #1 | 88 pins |
| [Vixy](https://palworld-db.com/pal/vixy) | Random dug-up items | #1 | 67 pins |
| [Melpaca](https://palworld-db.com/pal/melpaca) | [Wool](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wool) | #2 | 270 pins |
| [Cremis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/cremis) | [Wool](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wool) | #2 | 200 pins |
| [Mozzarina](https://palworld-db.com/pal/mozzarina) | [Milk](https://palworld-db.com/item/Milk) | #2 | 111 pins |
| [Sibelyx Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/sibelyx-primo) | [High Quality Cloth](https://palworld-db.com/item/Cloth2) | #4 | 82 pins |

[Lamball](https://palworld-db.com/pal/lamball), [Cremis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/cremis) and [Melpaca](https://palworld-db.com/pal/melpaca) all drop [Wool](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wool) on the ranch, and Lamball's 351 pins make it the easiest to stock in bulk — three or four of them keep a Cloth pipeline running indefinitely. [Chikipi](https://palworld-db.com/pal/chikipi) for [Eggs](https://palworld-db.com/item/Egg) and [Mozzarina](https://palworld-db.com/pal/mozzarina) for [Milk](https://palworld-db.com/item/Milk) are the two that feed cooking, and [Sibelyx Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/sibelyx-primo) is the late upgrade, producing [High Quality Cloth](https://palworld-db.com/item/Cloth2) directly and skipping the loom entirely. Full production rates are on [the Palworld ranch page](https://palworld-db.com/ranch).

## How to Farm Neutral Radiant Gems

[Neutral Radiant Gem](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalAwakening_Material_Neutral) only comes off Neutral Pals — all 13 drop sources in the game are on this list, and there is no alternative route. You need them to make the [Neutral Awakening Crystal](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalAwakening_Neutral), so this is the farm that gates upgrading any Neutral Pal.

| Pal | Gems per Kill | Rate | Pins | Map |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Celesdir](https://palworld-db.com/pal/celesdir) | 10–20 | 100% | 1,613 | [view on map](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=WhiteDeer) |
| [Eikthyrdeer](https://palworld-db.com/pal/eikthyrdeer) | 10–20 | 100% | 227 | [view on map](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=Deer) |
| [Gorirat](https://palworld-db.com/pal/gorirat) | 10–20 | 100% | 67 | [view on map](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=Gorilla) |
| [Fenglope](https://palworld-db.com/pal/fenglope) | 10–20 | 100% | 11 | [view on map](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=FengyunDeeper) |
| [Kingpaca](https://palworld-db.com/pal/kingpaca) | 10–20 | 100% | Alpha only | [view on map](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=KingAlpaca) |
| [Sibelyx Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/sibelyx-primo) | 1–3 | 100% | 82 | [view on map](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=WhiteMoth_Neutral) |
| [Starryon Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/starryon-primo) | 1–3 | 100% | 63 | [view on map](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=NightBlueHorse_Neutral) |
| [Solenne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/solenne) | 1–3 | 100% | 47 | [view on map](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=MonochromeQueen) |
| [Tetroise Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/tetroise-primo) | 1–3 | 50% | 40 | [view on map](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=CubeTurtle_Neutral) |

[Celesdir](https://palworld-db.com/pal/celesdir) is the only farm worth setting up: **10–20 gems per kill at a guaranteed rate, from a Pal with 1,613 spawn pins**. Nothing else combines the big drop with the big population. If you are not that far along, [Eikthyrdeer](https://palworld-db.com/pal/eikthyrdeer) pays the identical 10–20 and sits at 227 pins on the starting islands, which makes it the early-game answer. Skip the 1–3 tier entirely unless you are already killing them for something else. The other eight elements are covered in [the Palworld Radiant Gem farming guide](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-farm-radiant-gems).

## Common Eggs and Neutral Breeding

Eggs are colour-coded by element, and Neutral's is the plain one: a [Common Egg](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalEgg_Normal_01) hatches a Neutral Pal and nothing else. It comes in four sizes, and bigger eggs skew toward rarer results, so a [Huge Common Egg](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalEgg_Normal_05) is where the good Neutral Pals actually turn up. The [Palworld egg hatch list](https://palworld-db.com/guides/egg-hatch-list) has what each size can produce.

Breeding covers most of the roster, with four exceptions that the [Palworld breeding calculator](https://palworld-db.com/breeding) will never route you to: [Hartalis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/hartalis), [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius), [Selyne](https://palworld-db.com/pal/selyne) and [Mimog](https://palworld-db.com/pal/mimog) are all locked out of normal combinations and only ever breed true with themselves. Hartalis is the sharpest case — it has no wild spawns at all, and the only way to meet one is to summon it, which the [Hartalis slab and raid guide](https://palworld-db.com/guides/hartalis-raid-guide) walks through.

> **Tip.** **Neutral's real weakness is not Dark — it is that you cannot answer a Dark team with Neutral either.** A Neutral move deals flat damage to everything, so against [Shadowbeak](https://palworld-db.com/pal/shadowbeak) and the Dark roster you are taking 1.5× and giving back reduced damage at the same time. Keep one Dragon Pal benched purely for that matchup; Dragon is the only element with a bonus on Dark, and it turns the single worst Neutral fight into a normal one.
