## Base Decor at a Glance

Decorating is its own progression track. The build menu carries **157 furniture pieces** and **22 light sources** on top of the seven structure sets, and almost none of it does anything mechanical. That's the point: once your production lines are running, this is what turns a work camp into a base people actually want to see. The table below is the short version of what you're working with.

Before you start: everything has to sit inside a Palbox radius, so a showpiece build is really a question of which base you're willing to give up floor space in. ## 6 Base Design Themes to Try

Each theme below pairs one structure set with the furniture family that was clearly made to go with it. The level column is when the *whole look* becomes buildable, not just the walls, so that's the number to plan around. Rustic Cabin and Antique Manor are the realistic early picks; Japanese Retreat is the most complete theme in the game; Ancient is the endgame flex.

If you only build one showpiece, make it the **Japanese Retreat**. The catch is [Hardwood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood_Fine), which runs 4 per foundation and 10 to 20 per furniture piece.

### Rustic Cabin (Lv. 2 to Lv. 8)

This is the look nearly everyone starts with, and it holds up better than you'd expect. A Wooden shell costs 2 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) a piece, and the cabin furniture all lands by Lv. 5: Wooden Chair and Bench at 10 Wood, the Wooden Counter at 30 Wood plus 5 Stone, and a Wooden Decorative Wall Shelf for 5 Wood and 5 Stone. Add the Brick Fireplace at Lv. 8 as the centerpiece and a Mounted Torch or two for 5 Wood and 2 Stone each, and you have a warm, lived-in room for pocket change.

### Antique Manor (Lv. 9 to Lv. 22)

The Antique family is the biggest matched set in the game, with pieces for every room: carpets from Lv. 9, desks and round tables at Lv. 14, mirrors, a bathtub, and a folding partition at Lv. 16, both pianos at Lv. 17, and the Grandfather Clock at Lv. 22. Put it inside a Stone shell and you get a proper manor house. Budget some [Cloth](https://palworld-db.com/item/Cloth) and [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) for the carpets and sofas, since those are the pieces that pull in materials you won't already have stacked.

### Japanese Retreat (Lv. 49 to Lv. 56)

Japanese-Style walls arrive at Lv. 49, but the decor doesn't show up until Lv. 55, when 15 pieces unlock together: the Japanese Hearth, Floor Chair and Cushion, Writing Table, Folding Screen, Hanging Scroll, Bonsai, Deer Scare, Incense Burner, Stone Lantern, Paper Lantern, a matching chest, and the Moonflower banners. One level later, Faux Cherry Blossoms finish the garden. The Flower Arrangement is the only piece with a rare input, one [Beautiful Flower](https://palworld-db.com/item/Poppy) each, and there are only **27** of those on the whole map on [the Beautiful Flower layer](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_beautifulflower).

### Clean Lab and Ancient Citadel (Lv. 62+)

The two late sets are opposites. **Clean** runs on 1 [Polymer](https://palworld-db.com/item/Polymer) per foundation and pairs with the Lv. 47 Large Ceiling Lamp and Emergency Exit Signs for a spotless research-facility look. The Laboratory Desk and Chair (Polymer only) aren't on the regular tech list, so grab them when you can and treat them as a bonus. **Ancient** costs 2 [Soralite Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/SkyislandIngot) per piece and has no matching furniture family, so it works best as a bare, monumental shell dressed with statues and faction banners rather than tables and chairs.

## All Faux Plants and What They Cost

Faux plants are the fastest way to make a base look finished, because a strip of greenery hides every awkward foundation edge. There are **31** of them, and they come in two price classes: trees at 20 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) early on and 20 [Hardwood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood_Fine) later, and bushes at 20 [Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/Fiber). Mixing two color families that share a biome, like Tropical with Desert or Snowy with White Bush, looks more natural than a single repeated tree.

The table covers 30 pieces; the 31st is the  at Lv. 14 for 20 [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone), which is great for breaking up a long garden path. Everything before Lv. 27 runs on plain Wood and Fiber, so the early families are basically free to spam. ## Statues and Trophy Pieces

Statues are the pieces people notice first in a screenshot. The two you can simply research are the **Frostallion Statue** at Lv. 64 and the **Jetragon Statue** at Lv. 79, both 100 [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone), so they're cheap in materials and gated only by level. The rest aren't on the normal technology list, which makes them the real bragging-rights pieces.

The functional monuments double as decor too. The **Statue of Power** (Lv. 9, 20 Stone and 10 [Paldium Fragment](https://palworld-db.com/item/Pal_crystal_S)) and the **Great Eagle Statue** fast travel point (5 Paldium Fragment and 10 Stone) both look good at the head of a courtyard, and you need them anyway. Framing them with a pair of street lamps is an easy way to give a base an entrance.

## Faction Flags and Banners

There are **19** flags, standards, and banners, one set per faction, and they're the quickest way to give a base an identity. The early ones are Ingot and [Cloth](https://palworld-db.com/item/Cloth); from the Lv. 39 PIDF set onward they switch to [Refined Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronIngot), and from Lv. 50 they also want [High Quality Cloth](https://palworld-db.com/item/Cloth2). Wherever both pieces use Ingot, the vertical banner costs half as much as its standard, so banners are the better pick for lining a long wall.

The Free Pal Alliance Standard is the odd one out: it's the only researchable standard built from Wood instead of Ingot, so it's the cheap way to plant a big flag at Lv. 20. Moonflower is the natural match for a Japanese Retreat since it unlocks at the same Lv. 55 as the rest of that theme.

## Lighting a Showpiece Base

Lighting is what makes a night screenshot work. Early on you only have fire: the Mounted Torch (Lv. 6), Brick Fireplace and Fireplace (Lv. 8), and Wall Torch (Lv. 14). At Lv. 26 the electric fixtures arrive together (Chandelier, Lamp, Wall Lamp, and two floor lamps), each needing [Electric Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/ElectricOrgan) and [Nail](https://palworld-db.com/item/MachineParts). The four street lamps at Lv. 46 all cost the same 20 Ingot, 3 Electric Organ, and 3 Nail, so pick them purely on shape.

Mix warm and cold light. A Glass or Clean build under nothing but street lamps looks like a car park; drop a few fireplaces or paper lanterns inside and the whole thing reads as lived-in from outside.

## How to Share Your Base Design

Getting a good shot is mostly about clearing the clutter. The game has a **Photo Mode** you can open from the command wheel, and hiding the HUD there gives you a clean frame with no hotbar or markers in the way. From there it's just picking the right angle and time of day.

### Take the Screenshot

1. Tidy up first. Send extra Pals back to the Palbox so they're not wandering through the frame, and clear dropped items off the floor.
2. Wait for dusk. Your lights switch on and the sky does most of the work.
3. Open Photo Mode, hide the HUD, and frame the base from slightly above so the roofline and the garden both fit.
4. Take a second shot inside of your best room. Interiors are what other builders actually want to copy.

### Post It With the Useful Details

A picture gets likes, but the details get your design copied. When you share it on a community board or social feed, name the structure set, roughly how many foundations the footprint is, and the level you built it at. If it's a multiplayer build, say whether it's on a dedicated server and never post account IDs; share an invite code instead. > **Tip.** Build your showpiece at a base that isn't doing heavy production. Pals path through furniture, factories need floor space, and a raid can knock chunks out of decor that has nothing to do with defense. Keep the pretty base and the working base separate.

## The Short Version

Start with a **Rustic Cabin** because it's all Wood and Stone, move to an **Antique Manor** once Lv. 22 hands you the clock and pianos, and save a **Japanese Retreat** for Lv. 55 and up. Line every edge with faux plants, top the entrance with a faction banner and a statue, light it for dusk, and take the picture in Photo Mode with the HUD off.
