# Guided Missile Launcher Schematic Location and Stats

Where every Guided Missile Launcher schematic drops in Palworld — oil rig crates, Sakurajima camp boss stashes and tier 4 treasure map digs, the 5,900 Base Attack homing single-shot stat card, the 745-Ore craft cost traced to raw materials, and the Drafting Table ladder to Legendary.

The **Guided Missile Launcher** is the launcher you unlock at Technology Lv 56, and it's the only one in the class that aims itself — the missile tracks the target and detonates in an area. This guide covers the full stat card, every place all four schematic tiers actually drop, what one launcher costs once you trace the recipe down to raw ore, and the Drafting Table route to the **Legendary** version if the crates never cooperate.

## Guided Missile Launcher Stats

This is a mid-tech explosive with an unusual selling point. **5,900 Base Attack** in one round is not the biggest number in the launcher class, and 300 durability is the class floor — but nothing else in the game fires a shot that chases the target for you. That matters most against fliers and anything that strafes, which is exactly where the [Rocket Launcher](https://palworld-db.com/item/Launcher_Default) and its dumb-fire arc waste ammo. It's built at the **Weapon Assembly Line II**, and unusually for a launcher, nothing in the recipe comes from Sunreach or the World Tree — it's all mid-game industry.

| Stat | Guided Missile Launcher |
| --- | --- |
| Weapon class | Rocket Launcher |
| Base Attack | **5,900** |
| Magazine | 1 — single shot, reload between every missile |
| Durability | 300 |
| Weight | 30 |
| Technology level | **Lv 56**, 5 Technology Points |
| Crafting station | Weapon Assembly Line II (unlocks at Lv 47) |
| Crafting work | 600,000 |
| Ammo | [Missile Ammo](https://palworld-db.com/item/MissileBullet) — Lv 56, 1 point |
| Legendary schematic | [Guided Missile Launcher Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_GuidedMissileLauncher_5) |
| Item value | 461,040 Gold |

The single-round magazine is the honest weakness. Every shot is followed by a reload, so the launcher's real output depends entirely on how long that animation keeps you standing still — and against a boss that punishes standing still, this is not the weapon. Where it shines is the opening hit on a target you can't reliably lead, and as a way to delete flying alphas from the ground without a mount. Its four-round sibling, the [Multi Guided Missile Launcher](https://palworld-db.com/item/MultiGuidedMissileLauncher), fixes that flaw entirely and drops from the same crates — more on that below.

## Where the Legendary Schematic Drops

All four tiers come from **world loot only** — no merchant stocks them, no [expedition](https://palworld-db.com/expeditions) pays one out, and no [supply drop](https://palworld-db.com/supply-drops) carries them. That leaves three pools, and which ones you're eligible for changes with the tier. Pocketpair has never published per-crate percentages for the oil rigs, so the number that actually helps you plan isn't a drop rate — it's the source list, because the top tier sits in a pool the lower ones do not.

| Schematic | Crafts | Oil rigs | Large rig | Camp stashes | Tier 4 maps |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Schematic 1](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_GuidedMissileLauncher_2) | Uncommon | Yes | — | Yes | — |
| [Schematic 2](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_GuidedMissileLauncher_3) | Rare | Yes | — | Yes | Yes |
| [Schematic 3](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_GuidedMissileLauncher_4) | Epic | Yes | — | Yes | Yes |
| [Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_GuidedMissileLauncher_5) | **Legendary** | Yes | **Yes** | Yes | Yes |

Read the fourth column, because it's the whole guide in one cell. **The Legendary is the only tier the large oil rig can hand you** — the small rigs and the camps roll every tier including the top one, but the large rig's crate pool is the only place where Schematic 4 has a dedicated home the lower tiers don't share. The other useful line is Schematic 1: it's the only tier locked out of treasure maps, so digging maps skips the tier you already have too many of. Every schematic in the game shares one rolled-scroll model in your bag, so the pictures above are each tier's own art — that's the only way to tell four identical-looking scrolls apart.

### Oil Rig Crates — the Only Repeatable Farm

The rigs are the farm to build a route around because they reset and the rest of the pool is worth taking anyway. Crates on the **small oil rigs** roll all four tiers, and the **large oil rig** is where you go specifically for Schematic 4. The trip pays for itself twice over: the same crates carry [Ancient Civilization Cores](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientParts2) and the entire [Pal Baton](https://palworld-db.com/guides/all-pal-batons) and [Pal Ring](https://palworld-db.com/guides/all-pal-rings) schematic pools, so a clear is never wasted even when the launcher doesn't drop. Bring something that kills fast — the rigs are a timed fight against defenders, not a looting stroll.

The other reason to be out there: **[Crude Oil](https://palworld-db.com/item/CrudeOil) is one of this launcher's raw materials**, and it's the one you can't mine. It comes from a Crude Oil Extractor parked on an oil field, or free from supply drops — every region's drop pays it out at 100%, scaling with how late the region is.

| Supply drop region | Crude Oil chance | Amount |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Grasslands | 100% | 10-20 |
| Forest | 100% | 15-25 |
| Desert | 100% | 20-30 |
| Mount Obsidian | 100% | 20-30 |
| Snowfields | 100% | 25-35 |
| **Sakurajima** | 100% | **30-40** |

Sakurajima drops pay nearly four times what the Grasslands does, and Sakurajima is where you're farming camps for this schematic anyway — so run the two together and the 130 Crude Oil the launcher needs arrives without a single extractor built. Full pools for every region are on the [supply drops page](https://palworld-db.com/supply-drops).

### Sakurajima Camp Stashes and Tier 4 Treasure Maps

**Enemy camp boss stashes on Sakurajima** are the static source, and they roll all four tiers — the Legendary included. The stash is the reward chest behind the camp boss, not the loose crates scattered around the tents, so a camp you "cleared" without killing the boss gave you nothing that matters here. **Tier 4 treasure map digs** are the other pool, and they're the better one for the upper three tiers: Schematic 2, 3 and 4 are all in that table while Schematic 1 is not, which makes maps the only source that never wastes a roll on the tier you're drowning in.

Map views worth having open for a Sakurajima run:
- [All 58 enemy camps](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=camp) — clear to the boss stash, not just the tents
- [347 Sakurajima loot caches](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=cache_sakurajima), for materials while you walk between camps
- [68 Sakurajima treasure chests](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=chest_sakurajima), worth cracking on the same circuit
- [185 oil fields](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=oilfield), for parking a Crude Oil Extractor once you commit to crafting

## Build It Instead: The Drafting Table Route

You don't have to wait for the top-tier roll. The **Drafting Table**, unlocked at Technology Lv 45 for 4 Technology Points, combines **five identical schematics into one of the next rarity** — and this line supports the full ladder with no gaps, all the way to Schematic 4. That's not true of every weapon; the [Meteor Launcher](https://palworld-db.com/item/Launcher_Meteor) and both of Lily's spears have no world drop at all and can only be laddered. Here you get both routes, which is why the Guided Missile Launcher is one of the easier Legendaries to actually finish.

| Target | Combine cost | Equivalent in Schematic 1s |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Schematic 2](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_GuidedMissileLauncher_3) | 5× [Schematic 1](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_GuidedMissileLauncher_2) | 5 |
| [Schematic 3](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_GuidedMissileLauncher_4) | 5× [Schematic 2](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_GuidedMissileLauncher_3) | 25 |
| [Schematic 4 (Legendary)](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_GuidedMissileLauncher_5) | 5× [Schematic 3](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_GuidedMissileLauncher_4) | **125** |

125 Schematic 1s is the theoretical worst case and nobody pays it. Schematics 2 and 3 drop on their own from camps, maps and rigs, so the realistic path is combining at the **top** of the ladder — bank Schematic 3s until you hold five, and buy the Legendary in one step. The trap is combining the moment you can: five Schematic 1s spent early is five rolls you no longer have when a Schematic 3 shows up and you're one short. The [schematic upgrade guide](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-upgrade-schematics) covers the combine rules in full, including the lines that have no recipe at all.

> **Tip.** Craft the Uncommon version the day you hit Tech 56 instead of hoarding for the Legendary. Every tier of this line builds a working launcher that fires the same homing missile, and the rarity only moves the numbers — a Guided Missile Launcher you're shooting all week beats a Legendary schematic you haven't rolled yet. Bank the duplicates for the Drafting Table while the Uncommon one does the work.

## How to Craft the Guided Missile Launcher

Whichever schematic tier you're holding, the recipe is the same four materials at the **Weapon Assembly Line II**. It's a 600,000-work job on a station that needs 400 power, so it wants a stocked generator and your best Handiwork Pals on the bench. Nothing here is a field pickup — every line is a processed material with its own station and its own tech node behind it.

| Material | Qty | Made at | From |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Pal Metal Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/StealIngot) | **100** | Electric Furnace (Tech Lv 44) | 4 [Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperOre) + 1 [Pure Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/Quartz) + 2 [Paldium Fragment](https://palworld-db.com/item/Pal_crystal_S) each |
| [Plasteel](https://palworld-db.com/item/Plastic) | **50** | Electric Furnace (Tech Lv 44) | 2 [Crude Oil](https://palworld-db.com/item/CrudeOil) + 5 [Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperOre) each |
| [Carbon Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/CarbonFiber) | 25 | Production Assembly Line (Tech Lv 29) | 5 [Charcoal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Charcoal) + 1 [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) each |
| [Computer](https://palworld-db.com/item/Computer) | 5 | Production Assembly Line II (Tech Lv 42) | 2 [Circuit Board](https://palworld-db.com/item/MachineParts2) + 3 Plasteel + 2 [Bio Battery](https://palworld-db.com/item/Bio_Battery) + 2 Carbon Fiber each |

That Computer row is where the real cost hides. Five of them quietly add **15 more Plasteel, 10 Circuit Boards and 10 Bio Batteries** on top of what the launcher itself lists, and those Bio Batteries drag in another 10 Refined Ingots and 10 more Carbon Fiber behind them. That's why the true Carbon Fiber bill is **45**, not the 25 printed on the recipe. Chase the whole tree down to things you pick up off the ground and one Guided Missile Launcher works out to:

| Raw material | Total for one launcher | Where to get it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperOre) | **745** | [1,632 nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_copperore) · the single biggest line by far |
| [Paldium Fragment](https://palworld-db.com/item/Pal_crystal_S) | **200** | [711 Paldium Ore nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_paldiumore) · Wander Shop at 70 Gold each |
| [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) | **450** | [4,654 lumber nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_lumber) — burned into 225 Charcoal |
| [Crude Oil](https://palworld-db.com/item/CrudeOil) | **130** | Crude Oil Extractor on [185 oil fields](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=oilfield) · 100% from every supply drop |
| [Pure Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/Quartz) | 120 | [607 nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_purequartz) · Astral Frost Cavern expedition, 20-40 a run |
| [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) | 45 | Fire Pals — table below |
| [High Quality Pal Oil](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalOil) | 20 | [Mammorest](https://palworld-db.com/pal/mammorest) at 5-10 per kill, 100% |
| [Coal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Coal) | 20 | [824 nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_coal) · Hidden Sanctum of the Desert expedition |
| [Electric Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/ElectricOrgan) | 10 | Any Electric Pal |
| [Sulfur](https://palworld-db.com/item/Sulfur) | 10 | [655 nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_sulfur) |

745 Ore is the wall, and it's worth seeing clearly: 400 of it disappears into Pal Metal Ingots, another 325 into Plasteel, and the last 20 into the Refined Ingots buried inside those Bio Batteries. If you're mining that by hand you're doing it wrong — this is the point where an ore base with Mining Pals on a stack of nodes stops being optional. The good news is that nothing on this list is regional or gated behind endgame content, so a base you already have can produce the whole bill while you're off farming the schematic.

### Fastest Flame Organ Farm

45 Flame Organs sounds worse than it is, because the best droppers hand them over at **100%** every kill and hit double digits. [Blazamut](https://palworld-db.com/pal/blazamut) is the clean pick at a flat 10 per kill — five kills and you're done with the entire launcher. [Suzaku](https://palworld-db.com/pal/suzaku) swings 5-10 and is a flying target you can farm from a mount, and [Bushi Noct](https://palworld-db.com/pal/bushi-noct) at 4-8 is the easiest of the group to find in numbers. Everything on this list also feeds your Carbon Fiber stockpile permanently, so it's rarely a dedicated trip.

| Pal | Flame Organs per kill | Drop rate |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Blazamut](https://palworld-db.com/pal/blazamut) | **10** | 100% |
| [Suzaku](https://palworld-db.com/pal/suzaku) | 5-10 | 100% |
| [Ragnahawk](https://palworld-db.com/pal/ragnahawk) | 5-7 | 100% |
| [Reptyro](https://palworld-db.com/pal/reptyro) | 5-7 | 100% |
| [Bushi Noct](https://palworld-db.com/pal/bushi-noct) | 4-8 | 100% |

## Can You Even Build It Yet?

Technology Lv 56 is the headline requirement, but it isn't the one that stops people — the stations are. Four separate production buildings sit between you and a finished launcher, and two of them are power-hungry enough that your base electricity has to be sorted first. Work down this list before you go schematic hunting, because a Legendary schematic in your bag does nothing at all until the bench exists to use it.

| Requirement | Unlocks at | Why you need it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Production Assembly Line | Tech Lv 29 | Carbon Fiber — 200 power |
| Production Assembly Line II | Tech Lv 42 | Computers — 400 power |
| Electric Furnace | Tech Lv 44 | Pal Metal Ingot and Plasteel — 500 power, needs a Kindling Pal |
| Drafting Table | Tech Lv 45, 4 points | Combining schematics upward — 20 [Refined Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronIngot), 10 High Quality Wooden Board, 30 [Charcoal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Charcoal) to build |
| **Weapon Assembly Line II** | Tech Lv 47 | The launcher and its ammo — 100 [Refined Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronIngot), 10 [Circuit Board](https://palworld-db.com/item/MachineParts2), 5 Corrosive Solvent, 5 [Bio Battery](https://palworld-db.com/item/Bio_Battery) to build, 400 power |
| **Guided Missile Launcher** | **Tech Lv 56**, 5 points | The weapon recipe itself |
| [Missile Ammo](https://palworld-db.com/item/MissileBullet) | Tech Lv 56, 1 point | Something to fire |
| Crude Oil Extractor (optional) | Tech Lv 50 | Crude Oil on tap — 250 [Pal Metal Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/StealIngot) and 2,000 power, so most people take it from supply drops instead |

Six Technology Points at Lv 56 covers the gun and its ammo together, and both are ordinary Technology Points rather than the Ancient kind you pry out of tower bosses. The genuine gate is that last row: the extractor wants **250 Pal Metal Ingot** just to exist, which is two and a half launchers' worth of ingots for a building that only produces one of ten materials. Take the Crude Oil out of supply drops until your base can spare the power.

## How It Compares to Every Other Launcher

Ranked on raw attack the Guided Missile Launcher sits near the bottom of the class, and on damage per magazine it sits at the very bottom — one 5,900 round is the smallest burst any launcher can put out before reloading. What the table can't show is the tracking, which is the entire reason to carry it. These numbers only mean something against each other, too: a launcher's attack figure and a rifle's are computed against completely different fire rates, so 5,900 here is not comparable to anything in the [gun tier list](https://palworld-db.com/guides/all-guns-ranked).

| Launcher | Tech | Base Attack | Magazine | Durability | Damage per magazine |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Beam Launcher](https://palworld-db.com/item/BeamLauncher) | 80 | **14,000** | — | **3,500** | — |
| [Tactical Grenade Launcher](https://palworld-db.com/item/SkyGrenadeLauncher) | 72 | 6,722 | **8** | 800 | **53,776** |
| [Rocket Launcher](https://palworld-db.com/item/Launcher_Default) | 65 | 10,000 | 1 | 300 | 10,000 |
| [Plasma Cannon](https://palworld-db.com/item/EnergyRocketLauncher) | 61 | 10,000 | 2 | 300 | 20,000 |
| [Guided Missile Launcher](https://palworld-db.com/item/GuidedMissileLauncher) | **56** | 5,900 | 1 | 300 | 5,900 |
| [Multi Guided Missile Launcher](https://palworld-db.com/item/MultiGuidedMissileLauncher) | — | 5,900 | 4 | 300 | 23,600 |
| [Grenade Launcher](https://palworld-db.com/item/GrenadeLauncher) | 53 | 3,000 | 5 | 600 | 15,000 |
| [Meteor Launcher](https://palworld-db.com/item/Launcher_Meteor) | 38 | 2,000 | 1 | 300 | 2,000 |

The row that should change your plans is the **[Multi Guided Missile Launcher](https://palworld-db.com/item/MultiGuidedMissileLauncher)**. Identical 5,900 missiles, identical durability, but **four in the tube instead of one** — four times the damage before a reload, from the same homing missile. It costs 150 Pal Metal Ingot, 80 Plasteel, 30 Carbon Fiber and 8 Computers, roughly half again what the single-shot version does. The catch is that no technology node unlocks it anywhere in the tree, so it exists only as a schematic drop — and it drops from **the same oil rig crates you're already farming**. If you're running rigs for the Legendary Guided Missile Launcher, keep every Multi schematic you pull; it's the strict upgrade sitting in the same pool.

### What a Legendary Version Actually Gains

Schematic rarity raises the crafted weapon's stats, and the [Rocket Launcher](https://palworld-db.com/item/Launcher_Default) is the one launcher whose five rarity tiers are all laid out in the game's data end to end. It goes **10,000 attack at Common, then 11,000, 12,000, 13,000 and 14,000 at Legendary**, with durability climbing 300 → 800 → 1,000 → 1,200 → 1,400 alongside it — a flat +10% of base per step, and durability that more than quadruples by the top.

| Rarity | Rocket Launcher attack | Rocket Launcher durability | Guided Missile Launcher (estimated) |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Common | 10,000 | 300 | 5,900 |
| Uncommon | 11,000 | 800 | ~6,490 |
| Rare | 12,000 | 1,000 | ~7,080 |
| Epic | 13,000 | 1,200 | ~7,670 |
| **Legendary** | **14,000** | **1,400** | **~8,260** |

Pocketpair has never published the per-rarity multipliers, so the right-hand column is that same curve applied to 5,900 and should be treated as a close estimate rather than a printed number — 5,900 is the only figure in the table that's certain for this weapon. The durability side is the part people undersell, though: if the pattern holds, a Legendary craft turns the class's most fragile launcher into one that survives a full raid, which for a 300-durability weapon is a bigger practical gain than the ~2,400 attack.

## Missile Ammo and Running Costs

This is the part that catches people out. **Missile Ammo** unlocks alongside the launcher at Tech 56 for a single point, and a craft gives you ten rounds — but each batch of ten eats a **whole Computer**, a Tech 50 component that itself needs Circuit Boards, Plasteel, Bio Batteries and Carbon Fiber. There is no cheap alternative ammo for this weapon the way some launchers get one.

| Ammo | Recipe | Per craft | Station | Unlock |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Missile Ammo](https://palworld-db.com/item/MissileBullet) | 3 [Pal Metal Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/StealIngot) + 1 [Crude Oil](https://palworld-db.com/item/CrudeOil) + 1 [Computer](https://palworld-db.com/item/Computer) | **10** | Weapon Assembly Line II | Tech Lv 56, 1 point |

Traced to raw materials, ten missiles cost roughly **31 Ore, 7 Pure Quartz, 7 Crude Oil, 6 Paldium Fragment, 40 Wood, 4 Flame Organ and 4 Coal**. That's cheap by the round, but it's a whole **Computer** per ten shots, and Computers are the same bottleneck your [tech tree](https://palworld-db.com/tech) wants for everything else at this stage. Keep a Production Assembly Line II running in the background permanently rather than crafting ammo on demand. Every other weapon's ammo cost is on the [ammo database](https://palworld-db.com/ammo).

## The Short Answer

Farm **oil rig crates** — the small rigs roll all four tiers and the **large oil rig** is the only pool where the Legendary has a home the lower tiers don't share. Back that up with **Sakurajima camp boss stashes** (kill the boss, the loose crates don't count) and **tier 4 treasure map digs**, which are the best odds-per-roll for Schematics 2 through 4 because Schematic 1 isn't in their table. Build the Uncommon version at **Tech Lv 56** so you're actually shooting something, and bank Schematic 3s for the **Drafting Table** rather than praying for the top-tier roll. One launcher costs 745 Ore, 200 Paldium Fragment, 450 Wood, 130 Crude Oil, 120 Pure Quartz and 45 Flame Organs — and if a [Multi Guided Missile Launcher](https://palworld-db.com/item/MultiGuidedMissileLauncher) schematic falls out of the same crates, build that one instead.
