# Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor Schematic Location and Stats

Where the Legendary Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor schematic drops in Palworld — the 0.07% Dark Island supply roll, the six chest, salvage, dig and fishing routes, why no Pal drops it, the 600 defence stat card at Tech Lv 63, and the full 390-material craft including the two Thermal Cores.

**Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor** is the only body armor outside Ancient technology that reaches **Heat 3**, it lands at Technology Lv 63 with 600 defence and 1,750 HP, and its Legendary schematic has no boss to farm — one supply-drop region carries the line and nothing else does. This guide has the full stat card, the exact 0.07% Dark Island rate, the six chest, salvage, dig and fishing routes that also pay it out, the Drafting Table maths, and what two Thermal Cores really cost once you trace them to raw materials.

## Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor Stats

The stat block is short and the important line is the last one. **600 defence** is 20 more than the plain [Hexolite Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/SFArmor) it branches off, but the reason you build this suit is **Heat 3 · Cold 2 · Fire damage reduction** — no other body armor below Tech Lv 75 gets past Heat 2. Everything from the Tropical Outfit up through Plasteel sits on Heat 2 and Cold 1, so this is the first heat suit that also keeps you comfortable outside a volcano.

| Stat | Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor |
| --- | --- |
| Slot | Body armor |
| Defence | **600** |
| HP bonus | **1,750** |
| Durability | 18,000 |
| Weight | 35 |
| Resistances | **Heat 3** · Cold 2 · Fire damage reduction |
| Technology level | **Lv 63**, 5 Technology Points |
| Earlier in the line | [Hexolite Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/SFArmor) at Tech Lv 59 |
| Crafting station | Production Assembly Line II (unlocks at Lv 42) |
| Crafting work | 1,100,000 |
| Legendary schematic | [Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorHeat_5) |
| Item value | 301,660 Gold |

Defence numbers only mean something against other armor, so read 600 against the body slot rather than against any weapon's attack. Inside its own class it is second on the entire heat ladder — 200 clear of [Heat Resistant Plasteel Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/PlasticArmorHeat) and 240 behind [Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientArmorHeat), which arrives twelve tech levels later. Against the plain Hexolite body the swap is 2,000 durability (18,000 against 20,000) for +20 defence, 5 less weight, the Heat 2 → Heat 3 upgrade and a Fire damage cut. It is also, at 301,660 Gold, the most valuable of the three Hexolite variants that keep the base 50-ingot recipe.

## Where the Legendary Schematic Drops

The short version: **there is no boss kill for this schematic.** Every rarity of the Heat Resistant Hexolite line appears in exactly one of the eight regional supply pools — the **Dark Island** — and in a fixed set of chest, salvage, dig and fishing pools. Unlike the [Refined Metal heat armor](https://palworld-db.com/guides/heat-resistant-refined-metal-armor-legendary-schematic), which has a repeatable flat 3% off an Alpha, this one has no fixed pin you can farm on a timer, and that changes the whole plan.

| Schematic | Crafts | Dark Island supply | Tier 5 treasure digs |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Schematic 1](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorHeat_2) | Uncommon | **8.9%** | No |
| [Schematic 2](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorHeat_3) | Rare | 1.78% | Yes |
| [Schematic 3](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorHeat_4) | Epic | 0.36% | Yes |
| [Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorHeat_5) | **Legendary** | **0.07%** | Yes |

Each tier is a fifth of the one above it, so the Legendary at **0.07%** works out to roughly **one in 1,430 supply drops** if that were your only route. It isn't. Note the right-hand column too — the common Schematic 1 is the one tier that tier 5 treasure maps *don't* carry, so digs are quietly a better use of your time on this line than the raw drop rates suggest. And since every schematic in the game sits in your bag as the same rolled scroll, the rarity border is the only way to tell the four apart at a glance, which is why this page shows the armor and the materials wherever it can.

### Dark Island Supply Drops

The whole Hexolite equipment family — body, helmet, heat and cold — sits in **one regional supply table out of eight**, and it is the Dark Island. Not Mount Obsidian, which is the one people assume for a heat suit. That single mistake costs more farming hours on this item than the drop rate does. The trip pays for itself anyway, because the top of that pool is **30-40 [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) at 100%** on every single drop, and Chromite is half of every Hexolite ingot the recipe needs.

| Dark Island drop | Chance | Amount |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) | **100%** | **30-40** |
| [Legendary Sphere](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalSphere_Legend) | 50% | 5-10 |
| [Ultimate Sphere](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalSphere_Ultimate) | 50% | 5-10 |
| [Grenade Launcher Schematic 1](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_GrenadeLauncher_2) | 23.74% | 1 |
| [Vital Elixir](https://palworld-db.com/item/Elixir_hp_02) | 20% | 2 |
| [Hexolite Helmet Schematic 1](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFHelmet_2) | 14.84% | 1 |
| [Hexolite Armor Schematic 1](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmor_2) | 14.84% | 1 |
| [Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor Schematic 1](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorHeat_2) | **8.9%** | 1 |
| [Cold Resistant Hexolite Armor Schematic 1](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorCold_2) | 8.9% | 1 |
| [Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorHeat_5) | **0.07%** | 1 |

Two drops cover the 54 Chromite one suit needs, and you were opening them for the Spheres regardless. Treat the **8.9% Schematic 1** as the thing you are actually collecting — it is the joint-third most common schematic in the pool — and let the 0.07% be a surprise you did not plan around. Every region's complete pool is on the [Palworld supply drops page](https://palworld-db.com/supply-drops).

### The Six Non-Supply Routes

Outside supply drops the Legendary has six sources, and they are unusually varied — you can loot it, salvage it, dig it or fish it up. **Rank 2 salvaging is the loop to build**, because the wreck pool is small, repeatable and entirely under your control once the magnets are unlocked, while Dark Island chest runs compete against everything else in a grade 5 or grade 6 pool.

| Source | What it is | Gate |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Salvaging wrecks (rank 2)** | Underwater wrecks pulled with a [Powerful Fishing Magnet](https://palworld-db.com/item/Salvage_TreasureBoxKey02) — one schematic per pull | **Tech Lv 62**, 3 points |
| Treasure map digs (tier 5) | The top tier of buried-treasure maps | A tier 5 map |
| Treasure chests in the Dark Island | The island's top-grade chest pool | Reaching the Dark Island |
| Chests in the Dark Island | The ordinary chest pool on the same island | Reaching the Dark Island |
| Crates on the large oil rig | The big rig's crate pool | Surviving the rig's defenders |
| Fishing the treasure spots in the Dark Island | Top-grade treasure fishing nodes | Reaching the Dark Island |

The [Powerful Fishing Magnet](https://palworld-db.com/item/Salvage_TreasureBoxKey02) is 1 [Hexolite](https://palworld-db.com/item/StainlessSteel), 1 [Cryogenic Coolant](https://palworld-db.com/item/Bio_Coolant) and 1 [Bio Battery](https://palworld-db.com/item/Bio_Battery) for **ten pulls**, so once the Gigantic Furnace is running — the same furnace this armor needs anyway — the whole loop is close to free. Rank 2 wrecks also carry all four Hexolite schematic lines up to Legendary plus the Applied Handbooks, so a bad run still isn't a wasted one. Full tables are in the [Palworld salvaging guide](https://palworld-db.com/guides/salvaging-guide).

### Why No Pal Drops This One

It is a reasonable thing to look for, because **two Hexolite schematics do have a boss source** — just not the temperature variants. [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius) drops the Lightweight version at a flat 3%, and [Necromus](https://palworld-db.com/pal/necromus) drops the Hexolite Helmet at the same rate. The plain, heat and cold bodies were left out of every Pal loot table in the game, so there is no Alpha route to grind here.

| Legendary schematic | Boss | Rate | Dark Island supply |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Lightweight Hexolite Armor Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorWeight_5) | [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius) (Alpha) | **3%** | None — oil rig and digs only |
| [Hexolite Helmet Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFHelmet_5) | [Necromus](https://palworld-db.com/pal/necromus) (Alpha) | **3%** | 0.12% |
| [Hexolite Armor Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmor_5) | — | — | 0.12% |
| [Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorHeat_5) | **—** | **—** | **0.07%** |
| [Cold Resistant Hexolite Armor Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorCold_5) | — | — | 0.07% |

There is a pattern in that table worth reading before you plan a farm. The two schematics with a boss are the two with the thinnest supply presence, and the two temperature variants sit at **0.07% against the plain body and helmet's 0.12%** — close to half, because the pool has to hold a heat entry and a cold entry where the others only need one. So the heat suit ties with the cold suit for the rarest roll of the five, and both are the only ones with no shortcut whatsoever. [Every Alpha Pal and its multipliers](https://palworld-db.com/alpha-pals) is listed on the Alpha database if you would rather chase the Lightweight schematic instead.

## Build It Instead: The Drafting Table Ladder

The **Drafting Table** unlocks at Technology Lv 45 for 4 Technology Points and turns **five identical schematics into one of the next rarity up**. This line has no missing rungs, and with no boss shortcut available, combining is a far more serious plan here than on any Refined-tier armor.

| Target | Combine cost | Equivalent in Schematic 1s | Dark Island drops needed |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Schematic 2](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorHeat_3) | 5× [Schematic 1](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorHeat_2) | 5 | ~56 |
| [Schematic 3](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorHeat_4) | 5× [Schematic 2](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorHeat_3) | 25 | ~281 |
| [Schematic 4 (Legendary)](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorHeat_5) | 5× [Schematic 3](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorHeat_4) | **125** | **~1,404** |

Now do the arithmetic, because it produces an unusual answer. Grinding 125 Schematic 1s at **8.9%** takes about 1,404 drops; rolling the Legendary outright at **0.07%** takes about 1,430. Those are within 2% of each other, which almost never happens — on most lines combining is dramatically worse than waiting. So on this armor, **keep everything**. Each Uncommon is genuinely worth a 125th of a Legendary, Rares and Epics proportionally more, and running both routes at once beats committing to either. Combine only at the top, when five Schematic 3s are sitting in your bag. The [schematic upgrade guide](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-upgrade-schematics) covers the rules, and the table itself is 20 [Refined Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronIngot), 10 [High Quality Wooden Board](https://palworld-db.com/item/HighGrade_Processed_Wood) and 30 [Charcoal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Charcoal).

> **Tip.** Craft the Common version the day you hit Tech 63 instead of waiting on a rarity roll. Every tier of this armor carries the identical **Heat 3** rating — rarity moves defence, HP and durability, never the temperature protection — so a Common suit you are wearing tonight beats a Legendary schematic you have not found. And skip the Thermal Core craft entirely if you can: [Jetragon](https://palworld-db.com/pal/jetragon) and [Aegidron](https://palworld-db.com/pal/aegidron) each drop 1-2 [Thermal Core](https://palworld-db.com/item/Thermal_Core) at **100%**, which is two kills against 1,000,000 work at the bench.

## How to Craft Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor

Four lines on the **Production Assembly Line II** for 1,100,000 work. The bench is not the problem — it lands 21 levels before the armor. The **Gigantic Furnace at Tech Lv 58** is, because 50 Hexolite is the biggest line in the recipe and Hexolite is smelted nowhere else. The Thermal Cores add a second hidden dependency: each one eats 2 more Hexolite, so the true ingot bill is 54, not 50.

| Material | Qty | Made at / from |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Hexolite](https://palworld-db.com/item/StainlessSteel) | **50** | Gigantic Furnace (Tech Lv 58) — 1 [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) + 1 [Hexolite Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/RainbowCrystal) each |
| [Plasteel](https://palworld-db.com/item/Plastic) | **20** | Electric Furnace (Tech Lv 44) — 2 [Crude Oil](https://palworld-db.com/item/CrudeOil) + 5 [Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperOre) each |
| [High Quality Cloth](https://palworld-db.com/item/Cloth2) | 10 | Tech Lv 36 — 10 [Wool](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wool) + 1 [Leather](https://palworld-db.com/item/Leather) each |
| [Thermal Core](https://palworld-db.com/item/Thermal_Core) | **2** | Tech Lv 59 — 4 [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) + 8 [Coal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Coal) + 2 [Corrosive Solvent](https://palworld-db.com/item/Corrosive_Solvent) + 2 [Hexolite](https://palworld-db.com/item/StainlessSteel) each |

Trace all four lines down to things you mine, shear, dig or pull off a corpse and one suit is **390 raw units**. The two to plan around are the 100 [Wool](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wool) — ten full shearing stacks, and the only reason to keep a Kingpaca ranch running this late — and the 54 [Hexolite Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/RainbowCrystal), which has 635 nodes on the map and no substitute anywhere. For scale: the plain [Hexolite Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/SFArmor) is 350 raw units and the [cold version](https://palworld-db.com/item/SFArmorCold) is 370, so the heat suit is the priciest of the three. Two Thermal Cores look cheap next to ten Cryogenic Coolant on the recipe screen, and they are not.

| Raw material | Total for one suit | Where to get it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) | **54** | Dark Island supply drops (30-40 at 100%) · Metal Detector digs |
| [Hexolite Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/RainbowCrystal) | **54** | [635 nodes on the map](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_hexolitequartz) |
| [Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperOre) | **100** | [1,632 nodes on the map](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_copperore) |
| [Wool](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wool) | **100** | [Sweepa](https://palworld-db.com/pal/sweepa) 3-5 · [Melpaca](https://palworld-db.com/pal/melpaca) 2-5 · [Kingpaca](https://palworld-db.com/pal/kingpaca) 5, all 100% |
| [Crude Oil](https://palworld-db.com/item/CrudeOil) | 40 | [185 oil fields](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=oilfield) · supply drops |
| [Coal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Coal) | 16 | [824 nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_coal) · [Blazamut](https://palworld-db.com/pal/blazamut) 10 at 100% |
| [Leather](https://palworld-db.com/item/Leather) | 10 | [Mammorest](https://palworld-db.com/pal/mammorest) pays 5-10 at 100% |
| [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) | 8 | Fire Pals at 100% — see below |
| [Venom Gland](https://palworld-db.com/item/Venom) | 4 | [Menasting](https://palworld-db.com/pal/menasting) pays 5-10 at 100% |
| [Sulfur](https://palworld-db.com/item/Sulfur) | 4 | [655 nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_sulfur) · [Pierdon](https://palworld-db.com/pal/pierdon) 4-5 at 100% |

The bottom four rows are the ones people forget, and they are also the ones a single fight solves: [Blazamut](https://palworld-db.com/pal/blazamut) pays **10 Coal and 10 Flame Organ in one kill**, and [Menasting](https://palworld-db.com/pal/menasting) pays 5-10 Venom Gland with 545 spawn spots to pick from. One warning that catches people out, though: **the work cost is enormous and almost none of it is at the bench.** Smelting 54 Hexolite is 500,000 apiece — 27,000,000 on its own — against 4,000,000 for the Plasteel, 1,060,000 for the Thermal Cores and their solvent, and 1,100,000 for the armor. End to end a single suit is about **33,185,000 work units**, so the fix is never a bigger assembly line; it is more Kindling Pals on the Gigantic Furnace, which itself wants 1,500 power and 150 [Plasteel](https://palworld-db.com/item/Plastic), 100 [Polymer](https://palworld-db.com/item/Polymer), 200 [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) and 12 [Computer](https://palworld-db.com/item/Computer) to put down.

### Two Thermal Cores, the Slow Way and the Fast Way

This is the single line that separates the heat suit from the rest of the Hexolite family, and it has a shortcut most players miss. Crafting a Thermal Core costs **500,000 work** — the same as smelting a Hexolite ingot — so the two the recipe asks for are a million work units on their own. **Two Pals drop them outright at 100%**, no bench and no materials involved.

| Route | Cost per core | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Jetragon](https://palworld-db.com/pal/jetragon) | **1-2 at 100%** | Alpha Lv 70 on Mount Obsidian, no wild spawns — one kill can cover the whole suit |
| [Aegidron](https://palworld-db.com/pal/aegidron) | **1-2 at 100%** | Alpha Lv 79 on Feybreak, no wild spawns — the hardest fight of the two |
| Production Assembly Line II | 4 [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) · 8 [Coal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Coal) · 2 [Corrosive Solvent](https://palworld-db.com/item/Corrosive_Solvent) · 2 [Hexolite](https://palworld-db.com/item/StainlessSteel) | **500,000 work each** — unlocks at Tech Lv 59, 3 points |

If you are anywhere near Tech 63 you have already killed [Jetragon](https://palworld-db.com/pal/jetragon) at least once, so the honest advice is to make the trip again rather than queue the craft — a single good roll covers both cores and skips a million work units. Build them only if you are stockpiling for [Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientArmorHeat) later, which asks for six. The [Corrosive Solvent](https://palworld-db.com/item/Corrosive_Solvent) line is trivial either way (1 [Venom Gland](https://palworld-db.com/item/Venom) + 1 [Sulfur](https://palworld-db.com/item/Sulfur), 15,000 work) and unlocks all the way back at Tech Lv 37.

### Where Hexolite and Chromite Come From

Hexolite is an alloy of two materials that behave nothing alike. **Hexolite Quartz is a map node** — 635 of them, mined like any other ore. **Chromite is not on the map at all**; it is a Metal Detector find, a supply-drop staple and a Pal drop, which is why the fastest 54 Chromite in the game is two Dark Island supply drops rather than any amount of digging.

| Source | Gives | Amount | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Dark Island supply drops | [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) | **30-40** | **100% every drop** — two drops covers a suit |
| [Smokie](https://palworld-db.com/pal/smokie) | [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) | 1-2 | 100%, and **1,620 wild spots** — the easiest repeatable source |
| [Silvegis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/silvegis) | [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) | **2-3** | 100%, but no wild spawns — breeding or Alpha only |
| Dark Cave of Feybreak expedition | [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) | **30-50** | Hard, 60 minutes — the best hands-off rate there is |
| Hexolite Quartz nodes | [Hexolite Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/RainbowCrystal) | — | [635 pins on the map](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_hexolitequartz) |
| Ancient Feybreak Ruins expedition | [Hexolite Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/RainbowCrystal) | 10-20 | Very Hard, 120 minutes |

Put the Dark Cave of Feybreak expedition on a loop and Chromite stops being a bottleneck — 30-50 an hour with zero input beats anything you can do by hand. [Smokie](https://palworld-db.com/pal/smokie) is the answer when you need some immediately, since 1,620 spawn points means one is never far. The quartz is the part that costs real time, so bring a Mining team and clear a whole cluster in one trip rather than picking nodes off individually. Everything else about the ore lines lives on the [Palworld items database](https://palworld-db.com/items).

### Eight Flame Organ, Fast

Flame Organ drops at **100%** from every Fire Pal, so the only question is how many per kill and how easy the Pal is to find. Eight is a small ask — one or two fights — but you will want a lot more than eight if the Gigantic Furnace is still on your to-build list, since that structure alone eats 200.

| Pal | Per kill | Wild spots | Also drops |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Blazamut](https://palworld-db.com/pal/blazamut) | **10** | 16 | **10 [Coal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Coal)** — covers both Thermal Core lines at once |
| [Suzaku](https://palworld-db.com/pal/suzaku) | **5-10** | 13 | — |
| [Ragnahawk](https://palworld-db.com/pal/ragnahawk) | 5-7 | **150** | — |
| [Reptyro](https://palworld-db.com/pal/reptyro) | 5-7 | 22 | — |
| [Pyrin](https://palworld-db.com/pal/pyrin) | 4-5 | 93 | — |
| [Blazehowl](https://palworld-db.com/pal/blazehowl) | 3-5 | 56 | — |
| [Flambelle](https://palworld-db.com/pal/flambelle) | 2-3 | **232** | — |

[Blazamut](https://palworld-db.com/pal/blazamut) is the obvious pick and it isn't close: 10 Flame Organ **and** 10 Coal from one body means a single kill delivers most of what two Thermal Cores need. For volume rather than a one-off, [Ragnahawk](https://palworld-db.com/pal/ragnahawk) at 150 spots and 5-7 per kill is the best rate-per-effort on the list, and [Flambelle](https://palworld-db.com/pal/flambelle) at 232 spots is the one you will trip over without looking. [Pierdon](https://palworld-db.com/pal/pierdon) is worth a detour on the same trip — it is the only Pal in the game that drops [Sulfur](https://palworld-db.com/item/Sulfur), and it pays 4-5 Coal alongside it.

## Can You Even Build It Yet?

Technology Lv 63 is the headline, but ten supporting nodes sit under it and several bring their own workstation and power bill. Work down this list before you go schematic hunting — a Legendary in your bag does nothing until the furnace chain exists to feed it. The nodes below add up to **39 Technology Points**, all of them ordinary points rather than the Ancient kind.

| Requirement | Unlocks at | Why you need it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [High Quality Cloth](https://palworld-db.com/item/Cloth2) | Tech Lv 36, 2 points | 10 per suit |
| [Corrosive Solvent](https://palworld-db.com/item/Corrosive_Solvent) | Tech Lv 37, 2 points | 4 per suit, via the Thermal Cores |
| Production Assembly Line II | Tech Lv 42, 5 points | Builds both the armor and the Thermal Cores — 100 [Refined Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronIngot) + 10 [Circuit Board](https://palworld-db.com/item/MachineParts2) + 30 [Cement](https://palworld-db.com/item/Cement) + 5 [Corrosive Solvent](https://palworld-db.com/item/Corrosive_Solvent), 400 power |
| Electric Furnace | Tech Lv 44, 5 points | Plasteel — 20 per suit |
| [Plasteel](https://palworld-db.com/item/Plastic) | Tech Lv 50, 2 points | The recipe line, plus 150 more for the furnace below |
| Gigantic Furnace | Tech Lv 58, 5 points | **The real gate** — Hexolite is smelted nowhere else, 1,500 power |
| [Hexolite](https://palworld-db.com/item/StainlessSteel) | Tech Lv 58, 2 points | 54 per suit once the cores are counted |
| Metal Detector | Tech Lv 58, 3 points | Digging [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) outside supply drops |
| [Thermal Core](https://palworld-db.com/item/Thermal_Core) | Tech Lv 59, 3 points | 2 per suit — skippable if you farm the Alphas instead |
| [Hexolite Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/SFArmor) | Tech Lv 59, 5 points | Not required — but it's the same 50 Hexolite for 580 defence four levels earlier |
| **Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor** | **Tech Lv 63**, 5 points | The recipe itself |

The three Tech 58 nodes are the wall and they arrive together on purpose — Gigantic Furnace, Hexolite and Metal Detector are 10 points for the ability to make the metal at all. Watch the dependency loop buried in the middle: **the Gigantic Furnace costs 150 Plasteel**, so the Electric Furnace has to be running at volume before you can build the thing that makes Hexolite. And if you are sitting at Tech 59 with the furnace up, put down the plain [Hexolite Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/SFArmor) straight away at 580 defence rather than waiting four levels for 600 — that gap is not worth a trip through the volcano in Plasteel. ## How It Compares to Every Other Heat Armor

Eight body armors carry heat resistance, running from Tech Lv 9 to Tech Lv 75. Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor sits second, and it is the rung where the heat protection itself finally moves — every suit below it gives Heat 2, and only this one and the Ancient version reach **Heat 3**. That matters more than the defence jump does, because it is the first time climbing the ladder makes you cooler rather than just harder to kill.

| Armor | Tech | Defence | HP | Durability | Weight | Heat |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientArmorHeat) | 75 | **840** | **2,400** | **25,000** | 35 | **Heat 3** |
| [Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/SFArmorHeat) | **63** | **600** | **1,750** | 18,000 | 35 | **Heat 3** |
| [Heat Resistant Plasteel Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/PlasticArmorHeat) | 53 | 400 | 1,300 | 18,000 | 35 | Heat 2 |
| [Heat Resistant Pal Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/StealArmorHeat) | 48 | 250 | 750 | 10,000 | 40 | Heat 2 |
| [Heat Resistant Refined Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronArmorHeat) | 40 | 180 | 500 | 3,000 | 35 | Heat 2 |
| [Heat Resistant Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperArmorHeat) | 25 | 105 | 250 | 1,400 | 30 | Heat 2 |
| [Heat Resistant Pelt Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/FurArmorHeat) | 16 | 45 | 140 | 600 | 10 | Heat 2 |
| [Tropical Outfit](https://palworld-db.com/item/ClothArmorHeat) | 9 | 25 | 70 | 300 | 4 | Heat 2 |

The ten levels between Plasteel at 53 and Hexolite at 63 buy **+200 defence and +450 HP** for identical weight and identical durability — the biggest single jump on the ladder that doesn't involve Ancient technology. Above it there is exactly one upgrade left and it costs twelve more levels plus a Worldtree Ingot chain. Below it, if all you want is to stop cooking, the [Tropical Outfit](https://palworld-db.com/item/ClothArmorHeat) at Tech 9 still does that for 4 weight and always will. One quiet detail worth knowing: the heat ladder unlocks **earlier than the cold ladder at every single rung** — 63 against 64 here, 53 against 54, 48 against 50, 40 against 41 — so if you are levelling through both climates, the heat suit is always the one you can wear first. ### What the Legendary Version Actually Gains

Rarity lifts the crafted armor's numbers, and although Pocketpair has never published the multipliers, the Refined Metal Armor family is the one body-armor line whose five rarity steps are all laid out in the game to be read directly. It climbs **150 → 195 → 210 → 225 → 240** defence and **500 → 650 → 700 → 750 → 800** HP, which works out to ×1.3, ×1.4, ×1.5 and ×1.6 of base on both stats. Run that same curve through 600 and 1,750 and you get the right-hand columns.

| Rarity | Refined Metal Armor (measured) | HP | Hexolite Heat defence (estimated) | HP (estimated) |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Common | 150 | 500 | **600** | **1,750** |
| Uncommon | 195 | 650 | ~780 | ~2,275 |
| Rare | 210 | 700 | ~840 | ~2,450 |
| Epic | 225 | 750 | ~900 | ~2,625 |
| **Legendary** | **240** | **800** | **~960** | **~2,800** |

Treat those last two columns as close estimates rather than measured figures — **600 and 1,750 are the only certain numbers there**. The shape is not in doubt, though, and the shape is the whole argument for chasing this schematic. At an estimated **~960 defence**, a Legendary Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor at Tech Lv 63 would out-armor a Common [Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientArmorHeat) at Tech Lv 75 — twelve tech levels and an entire Worldtree Ingot chain, skipped. Even an Epic roll at roughly ~900 gets close. Bear in mind Legendary recipes across every family also fold in [Ancient Civilization Parts](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalCrystal_Ex) and roughly double the metal, so bank materials before you spend the schematic.

## Heat vs the Other Hexolite Body Armors

Four body armors and one helmet make up the Hexolite set across seven tech levels, and three of the four bodies share the exact same **600 / 1,750 / 18,000** stat block. What separates them is entirely the passive line, so this is a pick-by-need decision rather than a pick-by-number one — and the heat suit is the one that arrives first.

| Piece | Tech | Defence | HP | Durability | Weight | Passives | Extra material |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Hexolite Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/SFArmor) | 59 | 580 | 1,750 | **20,000** | 40 | Heat 2 · Cold 2 | — |
| [Hexolite Helmet](https://palworld-db.com/item/SFHelmet) | 60 | 350 | 800 | **20,000** | 15 | — | — (head slot) |
| [Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/SFArmorHeat) | **63** | **600** | 1,750 | 18,000 | 35 | **Heat 3** · Cold 2 · Fire cut | 2 [Thermal Core](https://palworld-db.com/item/Thermal_Core) |
| [Cold Resistant Hexolite Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/SFArmorCold) | 64 | **600** | 1,750 | 18,000 | 35 | **Cold 3** · Heat 2 · Ice cut | 10 [Cryogenic Coolant](https://palworld-db.com/item/Bio_Coolant) |
| [Lightweight Hexolite Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/SFArmorWeight) | 65 | **600** | 1,750 | 18,000 | 35 | Heat 2 · Cold 2 · **+carry weight** | 50 extra [Hexolite](https://palworld-db.com/item/StainlessSteel) + 10 Corrosive Solvent |

Read the last column before the stat columns, and read it as raw cost rather than item count. Two Thermal Cores look like the cheapest add-on in the set next to ten Cryogenic Coolant, but each core drags in 2 more Hexolite plus coal, solvent and organs — **390 raw units against the cold suit's 370** — and the cores are 500,000 work apiece against the coolant's 10,000. The Lightweight version is still by far the most expensive at 100 Hexolite, and the plain body is the only one holding the full 20,000 durability, which makes it the low-maintenance pick if you genuinely don't care about temperature. Between the two temperature variants: the heat suit unlocks a level earlier and keeps Cold 2, so it is the better default if you spend more time on Mount Obsidian and the volcanic parts of Feybreak than in the Astral Mountains.

## The Short Answer

No boss drops it. The Legendary Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor schematic comes from **Dark Island supply drops at 0.07%**, from Dark Island treasure chests and ordinary chests, from crates on the large oil rig, from **tier 5 treasure map digs**, from Dark Island treasure fishing spots, and from **rank 2 salvaging wrecks** — the one route you can actually loop, once the Powerful Fishing Magnet unlocks at Tech Lv 62. Bank every tier you find, because combining 125 Schematic 1s at the **Drafting Table** costs about the same number of drops as rolling the Legendary outright. Then build the Common version the moment you hit **Tech Lv 63** — 54 Chromite, 54 Hexolite Quartz, 100 Ore, 100 Wool, 40 Crude Oil, 16 Coal, 10 Leather, 8 Flame Organ, 4 Venom Gland and 4 Sulfur — and grab the two Thermal Cores off [Jetragon](https://palworld-db.com/pal/jetragon) rather than crafting them. The Heat 3 rating is identical at every rarity, so the suit you wear tonight beats the schematic you haven't found.
