# Heat Resistant Metal Armor Schematic Location and Stats

Where the Legendary Heat Resistant Metal Armor schematic drops in Palworld — no Pal in the game carries it, so it's the 0.04% Forest supply drop, chests and camps across three regions, or the Drafting Table. Full 105-defence stat card, the Tech Lv 25 unlock and the 117-material craft.

**Heat Resistant Metal Armor** unlocks at Technology Lv 25 and is the first body armor most players wear into the Desert — 105 defence, 250 HP and double the durability of the plain [Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperArmor) it's built from. This guide covers the full stat card, every source of the **Legendary** schematic (there is no boss that drops it, which changes the whole plan), the four supply-drop rates, and what 40 Ingots works out to in raw ore.

## Heat Resistant Metal Armor Stats

The number that matters is **105 defence** — 35 more than plain Metal Armor for the same 250 HP, the same 30 weight, and exactly double the durability at 1,400. Durability is the sleeper stat on this tier: 700 to 1,400 means half as many trips back to the repair bench, and at Tech 25 you do not have spare Ingots lying around. It also carries the fullest resistance package in the early game — Heat 2, Cold 1 **and** a Fire damage reduction, which neither the [Tropical Outfit](https://palworld-db.com/item/ClothArmorHeat) nor the [Heat Resistant Pelt Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/FurArmorHeat) below it manages.

| Stat | Heat Resistant Metal Armor |
| --- | --- |
| Slot | Body armor |
| Defence | **105** |
| HP bonus | **250** |
| Durability | **1,400** |
| Weight | 30 |
| Resistances | Heat 2 · Cold 1 · Fire damage reduction |
| Technology level | **Lv 25**, 2 Technology Points |
| Upgrades from | [Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperArmor) at Tech Lv 23 |
| Crafting station | High-Quality Workbench (unlocks at Tech Lv 11) |
| Crafting work | 40,000 |
| Legendary schematic | [Heat Resistant Metal Armor Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_CopperArmorHeat_5) |
| Item value | 22,130 Gold |

Armor defence only means something next to other armor, so read 105 against the rest of the body slot rather than against a weapon's attack number. In its own class it sits fifth from the bottom of eight heat armors: well clear of the 45-defence Pelt Armor, and a long way under [Heat Resistant Refined Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronArmorHeat) at 180. The [Cold Resistant Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperArmorCold) is its mirror — an identical 105/250/1,400 line with Cold 2 instead of Heat 2, unlocking two levels later at Tech 27. Build whichever region you're heading into; you rarely need both.

## Where the Legendary Schematic Drops

Here's the thing that shapes every decision on this page: **nothing in the game drops this schematic as a kill reward**. No Alpha, no tower boss, no raid. All four tiers come out of the same background pool of supply drops, chests, enemy camps, fishing spots and treasure maps, and the only source with a published percentage is the supply drop — where the Legendary sits at **0.04%**, roughly one in 2,500.

| Schematic | Crafts | Forest supply drop | Treasure maps | Chests, camps, fishing |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Schematic 1](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_CopperArmorHeat_2) | Uncommon | **5.23%** | — | Yes |
| [Schematic 2](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_CopperArmorHeat_3) | Rare | 1.05% | Tier 1 | Yes |
| [Schematic 3](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_CopperArmorHeat_4) | Epic | 0.21% | Tier 1 | Yes |
| [Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_CopperArmorHeat_5) | **Legendary** | 0.04% | Tier 1 | Yes |

Two things in that table are worth acting on. The rate falls by about a fifth per step — 5.23% down to 0.04% — so the top row is genuinely common loot while the bottom row is an accident that happens to other people. And **Schematic 1 is the only tier treasure maps never produce**, which means digging tier 1 maps can never waste a roll on the tier you already have a pile of. Every schematic in the game uses the same rolled-scroll model in your bag, so the four icons above are each tier's own art and the rarity border is the only way to tell them apart at a glance.

### Forest Supply Drops — the Only Published Rate

This line shows up in exactly **one of the eight regional supply tables, and it's the Forest** — not the Desert, not Mount Obsidian, which are the two places you'd actually be sweating. It's a genuinely odd bit of loot routing and it catches people out: players camp volcano supply drops for heat gear and never see this schematic, because the drop that carries it is falling in the woods. The plain [Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperArmor) Legendary schematic sits in that same Forest table at a slightly kinder 0.07%.

Practically, treat Forest supply drops as the **feeder**, not the jackpot. At 5.23% the Schematic 1 is one of the more common things in that pool, and you'll bank Uncommons and Rares just by grabbing drops as you pass through. Sitting on a 0.04% roll is not a plan. The full loot pool for every region is on the [Palworld supply drops page](https://palworld-db.com/supply-drops).

### Chests, Camps, Fishing and Treasure Maps

The background pool is wide but tightly regional: three regions of chests, the same three regions of enemy camps split between ordinary loot and boss stashes, three regions of fishing spots, and tier 1 treasure maps. Forest, Desert and Mount Obsidian is the whole map for this schematic — once you've moved on to the Snowfields it stops appearing entirely, which is unusual, since most schematic lines keep trickling in everywhere.

| Source | Regions | Tiers | Map |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Treasure chests | Forest, Desert, Mount Obsidian | All four | [247](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=chest_forest) · [263](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=chest_desert) · [137](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=chest_mountobsidian) pins |
| Enemy camp loot | Forest, Mount Obsidian | All four | [58 enemy camps](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=camp) |
| Enemy camp boss stashes | Forest, Desert, Mount Obsidian | All four | [58 enemy camps](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=camp) |
| Fishing spots | Forest, Desert, Mount Obsidian | All four | [367 spots](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=fishing) · [102 rare](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=fishing_rare) |
| Treasure map digs (tier 1) | Anywhere | Schematics 2, 3, 4 | — |

**Enemy camp boss stashes are the row to build a route around.** Camp bosses carry all four tiers in three separate regions, and there are only 58 camps on the entire map — a camp circuit is a far denser loop than hunting 247 individual Forest chests one at a time, and the camps pay Gold and ammo on the same run. The fishing rows are free money: park a rod at a Forest or Desert spot while you're doing something else and it rolls the same table. The [fishing database](https://palworld-db.com/fishing) lists every catch, and the [Palworld Fishing Guide](https://palworld-db.com/guides/fishing-guide) covers which rods and bait are worth it.

### No Pal Drops This One — and One Nearby Pal Does

Only **five armor schematics in the entire game** come off a Pal, all of them at the Legendary tier and all at a flat 3%. Heat Resistant Metal Armor is not one of them — but the plain [Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperArmor) it upgrades from *is*, and its boss is a level 23 pushover you can beat at roughly the same point in the game.

| Schematic | Boss | Alpha level | Elements | Rate |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Cloth Outfit Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_ClothArmor_5) | [Chillet](https://palworld-db.com/pal/chillet) | 11 | Ice/Dragon | 3% |
| [Metal Armor Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_CopperArmor_5) | [Kingpaca](https://palworld-db.com/pal/kingpaca) | **23** | Neutral | **3%** |
| [Cold Resistant Refined Metal Armor Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_IronArmorCold_5) | [Menasting](https://palworld-db.com/pal/menasting) | 44 | Dark/Ground | 3% |
| [Heat Resistant Refined Metal Armor Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_IronArmorHeat_5) | [Astegon](https://palworld-db.com/pal/astegon) | 55 | Dragon/Dark | 3% |
| [Lightweight Hexolite Armor Schematic 4](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_SFArmorWeight_5) | [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius) | 60 | Neutral | 3% |

**Alpha Kingpaca's 3% is about 75 times the Forest supply-drop rate**, and it's a repeatable kill instead of a one-shot chest. It's pure Neutral with 120 base HP, 100 melee attack and 90 defence — no elemental resistance to plan around, and Dark damage hits it hardest. That makes it the realistic Legendary in this weight class: farm Kingpaca for a Legendary plain Metal Armor rather than praying at Forest supply drops for the heat version. [Kingpaca's Alpha pin](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=KingAlpaca) is on the map, and [every Alpha Pal and its level](https://palworld-db.com/alpha-pals) is listed on the Alpha database.

## Build It Instead: The Drafting Table Route

The **Drafting Table** merges **five identical schematics into one of the next rarity up**, and this line supports the whole ladder with no missing rungs. The problem is the timing, and it's worse here than on any other armor: the armor unlocks at Tech Lv 25 and the table at **Tech Lv 45**. That's twenty levels of hoarding schematics you cannot combine — by the time the table exists you're already shopping for Pal Metal gear.

| Target | Combine cost | Equivalent in Schematic 1s |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Schematic 2](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_CopperArmorHeat_3) | 5× [Schematic 1](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_CopperArmorHeat_2) | 5 |
| [Schematic 3](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_CopperArmorHeat_4) | 5× [Schematic 2](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_CopperArmorHeat_3) | 25 |
| [Schematic 4 (Legendary)](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_CopperArmorHeat_5) | 5× [Schematic 3](https://palworld-db.com/item/Blueprint_CopperArmorHeat_4) | **125** |

125 Schematic 1s is the paper worst case, and at 5.23% that's roughly **2,400 Forest supply drops** for one Legendary. Nobody should pay that for Tech 25 armor. Combine at the top of the ladder only — bank Schematic 3s until you're holding five — and don't burn Uncommons the moment you can, because those are the rolls you'll want back when a lucky Epic finally lands and you're one short. The table costs 20 [Refined Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronIngot), 10 [High Quality Wooden Board](https://palworld-db.com/item/HighGrade_Processed_Wood) and 30 [Charcoal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Charcoal); the [schematic upgrade guide](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-upgrade-schematics) has the full rules.

> **Tip.** Craft the Common version the day you hit Tech 25 and stop waiting on a rarity roll. Every tier of this armor gives the identical Heat 2 protection — rarity moves the defence and HP numbers only, never the temperature resistance — so a Common Heat Resistant Metal Armor you're wearing in the Desert tonight beats a Legendary schematic you'll never roll. If the heat itself is your only problem, the [Heat Resistant Undershirt](https://palworld-db.com/item/Accessory_HeatResist_1) accessory carries Heat 3 on its own for 2 weight, which frees your body slot for whatever has the biggest defence number.

## How to Craft Heat Resistant Metal Armor

Whichever schematic tier you're holding, the base recipe is four materials on the **High-Quality Workbench** for 40,000 work. Nothing in it is regional or gated behind an endgame unlock — no Ancient parts, no Refined Ingots, no Sakurajima ore. If your base smelts Ingots and you've killed a few Fire Pals, you can build this tonight.

| Material | Qty | Made at / from |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperIngot) | **40** | Primitive Furnace (Tech Lv 10) — 2 [Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperOre) each |
| [Leather](https://palworld-db.com/item/Leather) | 13 | Pal drops — [Mammorest](https://palworld-db.com/pal/mammorest) pays 5-10 at 100% |
| [Cloth](https://palworld-db.com/item/Cloth) | 8 | Primitive Workbench — 2 [Wool](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wool) each |
| [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) | **8** | Fire Pal drops — table below |

Trace all four lines down to things you pick off the ground or off a corpse and one suit is **117 raw units**. The 80 Ore is the only line worth planning around, and it's the reason a mining base near a dense node cluster pays for itself here — everything else a functioning base already produces while you're out hunting.

| Raw material | Total for one suit | Where to get it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperOre) | **80** | [1,632 nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_copperore) |
| [Leather](https://palworld-db.com/item/Leather) | 13 | [Mammorest](https://palworld-db.com/pal/mammorest) at 5-10 per kill, 100% |
| [Wool](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wool) | 16 | [Kingpaca](https://palworld-db.com/pal/kingpaca) 5 · [Sweepa](https://palworld-db.com/pal/sweepa) 3-5 · [Melpaca](https://palworld-db.com/pal/melpaca) 2-5, all 100% |
| [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) | 8 | Fire Pals at 100% — see below |

For comparison, the plain [Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperArmor) two tech levels below costs 30 Ingots, 10 Leather and 5 Cloth for 20,000 work — 80 raw units and half the crafting time. The heat version is about 45% more expensive plus 8 Flame Organs, and it buys you +35 defence and double the durability on top of the heat resistance. That is a good trade at Tech 25, which is why almost nobody stops at the plain version unless they're heading somewhere cold.

### Fastest Flame Organ Farm

Eight Flame Organs is one short hunting trip, not a project — every Fire Pal in the game drops them at **100%**, so the only question is how many per kill. [Blazamut](https://palworld-db.com/pal/blazamut) is the outlier at a flat 10 every time, meaning a single kill covers an entire suit with two spare. At Tech 25 a Blazamut is a real fight, so [Suzaku](https://palworld-db.com/pal/suzaku) and [Ragnahawk](https://palworld-db.com/pal/ragnahawk) are the more sensible picks, and two of either finishes the job.

| Pal | Flame Organ per kill | Drop rate |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Blazamut](https://palworld-db.com/pal/blazamut) | **10** | 100% |
| [Suzaku](https://palworld-db.com/pal/suzaku) | 5-10 | 100% |
| [Ragnahawk](https://palworld-db.com/pal/ragnahawk) | 5-7 | 100% |
| [Reptyro](https://palworld-db.com/pal/reptyro) | 5-7 | 100% |
| [Bushi Noct](https://palworld-db.com/pal/bushi-noct) | 4-8 | 100% |
| [Pyrin](https://palworld-db.com/pal/pyrin) | 4-5 | 100% |
| [Blazehowl](https://palworld-db.com/pal/blazehowl) | 3-5 | 100% |
| [Flambelle](https://palworld-db.com/pal/flambelle) | 2-3 | 100% |

Flambelle earns the bottom row for a reason nobody expects: it's a low-level Fire Pal you'll trip over long before you can handle anything else on this list, and three kills covers a suit. Stack the errands either way — run the Forest camp circuit for schematic rolls, kill Fire Pals on the way for organs, and come home with both. Every material's full drop table is on the [Palworld items database](https://palworld-db.com/items).

## Can You Even Build It Yet?

Technology Lv 25 is the headline gate, but three supporting nodes sit underneath it and each has its own level. Work down this checklist before you go schematic hunting — a Legendary schematic in your bag does nothing at all until the bench and the Ingots exist to use it. The good news is that this is the cheapest armor checklist in the game: everything below is an ordinary Technology Point, and nothing needs an Ancient one.

| Requirement | Unlocks at | Why you need it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Primitive Furnace | Tech Lv 10, 3 points | Ingot — 40 of them per suit |
| High-Quality Workbench | Tech Lv 11, 3 points | The bench the armor is built on — 8 [Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperIngot) + 20 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) + 10 [Nail](https://palworld-db.com/item/MachineParts) to build |
| [Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperArmor) | Tech Lv 23, 2 points | The base version this one improves |
| **Heat Resistant Metal Armor** | **Tech Lv 25**, 2 points | The recipe itself |
| Drafting Table | Tech Lv 45, 4 points | Combining schematics upward — twenty levels after the armor |

Four Technology Points across Lv 23 and Lv 25 covers the armor and its base together, which is nothing. The row that actually bites is the last one again: **you will be collecting schematics for twenty levels before you can combine any of them**, and by Tech 45 you're two armor tiers past caring. That gap is the single strongest argument for building the Common version immediately and treating any rarity roll as a bonus. The full tree is on the [Palworld technology page](https://palworld-db.com/tech).

## How It Compares to Every Other Heat Armor

Eight body armors carry heat resistance and they form a clean ladder from Tech Lv 9 to Tech Lv 75. Heat Resistant Metal Armor sits third from the bottom, and it opens the longest gap in that ladder — from Tech 25 the next heat armor is fifteen levels away at Tech 40, which is exactly why so many players are still wearing 105 defence deep into the Desert.

| Armor | Tech | Defence | HP | Durability | Weight | Heat |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientArmorHeat) | 75 | **840** | **2,400** | **25,000** | 35 | Heat 3 |
| [Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/SFArmorHeat) | 63 | 600 | 1,750 | 18,000 | 35 | **Heat 3** |
| [Heat Resistant Plasteel Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/PlasticArmorHeat) | 53 | 400 | 1,300 | 18,000 | 35 | Heat 2 |
| [Heat Resistant Pal Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/StealArmorHeat) | 48 | 250 | 750 | 10,000 | 40 | Heat 2 |
| [Heat Resistant Refined Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronArmorHeat) | 40 | 180 | 500 | 3,000 | 35 | Heat 2 |
| [Heat Resistant Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperArmorHeat) | **25** | **105** | 250 | 1,400 | 30 | Heat 2 |
| [Heat Resistant Pelt Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/FurArmorHeat) | 16 | 45 | 140 | 600 | 10 | Heat 2 |
| [Tropical Outfit](https://palworld-db.com/item/ClothArmorHeat) | 9 | 25 | 70 | 300 | 4 | Heat 2 |

Read the last column before the first one. **Everything from the Tropical Outfit at Tech 9 to Plasteel at Tech 53 gives identical Heat 2 protection** — only Hexolite and Ancient Armor reach Heat 3. Climbing this ladder never makes you more heat-resistant, it only makes you harder to kill while you're hot. If the environment is your only problem, the Tropical Outfit solves it at Tech 9 for 4 weight. If the things living in the Desert are the problem, that's where 105 defence and 1,400 durability start earning their 30 weight. [Every armor piece in the game](https://palworld-db.com/armor) is compared on the armor database.

### What a Legendary Version Actually Gains

Rarity raises the crafted armor's numbers, and the plain [Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperArmor) line is the one whose five rarity steps are all laid out in the game for this tier. It climbs **70 → 91 → 98 → 105 → 112** defence, which is precisely ×1.3, ×1.4, ×1.5 and ×1.6 of base, with HP following the same four multipliers from 250 up to 400. Each step also stacks an accuracy bonus the Common version doesn't have, and the top two steps add Ancient Civilization Parts to the recipe.

| Rarity | Plain Metal Armor | HP | Durability | Extra recipe cost | Heat version (estimated) |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Common | 70 | 250 | 700 | — | **105** |
| Uncommon | 91 | 325 | 1,800 | — | ~137 |
| Rare | 98 | 350 | 2,200 | — | 147 |
| Epic | 105 | 375 | 2,600 | 1 Ancient Civilization Parts | ~158 |
| **Legendary** | **112** | **400** | **3,000** | **2 Ancient Civilization Parts** | **~168** |

Pocketpair has never published the per-rarity multipliers, so treat the right-hand column as the plain line's own curve applied to 105 — a close estimate, not a measured number. **105 is the only figure in that column that's certain.** What isn't in doubt is the shape: a Legendary lands roughly 60% above the Common, the HP bonus climbs to 400, and the recipe grows to 60 Ingots, 20 Leather and 10 Cloth plus 2 [Ancient Civilization Parts](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalCrystal_Ex), with the work cost ballooning from 20,000 to 640,000.

At an estimated ~168 defence, a Legendary Heat Resistant Metal Armor at **Tech Lv 25** would out-armor the Common [Refined Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronArmor) at 150 — a full twelve tech levels of progression, skipped — and land just under [Heat Resistant Refined Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronArmorHeat) at 180. That's the pitch, and it's a real one. It's also why the [Legendary plain Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperArmor_5) at 112 defence deserves a serious look: it's only 7 points behind a *Common* heat suit, the schematic drops off Alpha Kingpaca at 3% instead of 0.04%, and a Heat 3 undershirt covers the temperature gap.

## The Short Answer

No Pal in Palworld drops the Legendary Heat Resistant Metal Armor schematic. Your sources are **Forest supply drops at 0.04%**, chests and enemy camps and fishing spots across the **Forest, Desert and Mount Obsidian**, tier 1 treasure map digs, and the **Drafting Table** at Tech Lv 45 — which is twenty levels after the armor unlocks. Given that, build the Common version the moment you hit **Tech Lv 25**: 80 Ore, 13 Leather, 16 Wool and 8 Flame Organ on the High-Quality Workbench gets you 105 defence, 250 HP and 1,400 durability with Heat 2, Cold 1 and a Fire cut. If you want a Legendary in this weight class, farm **Alpha Kingpaca** at level 23 for the plain [Metal Armor](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperArmor_5) version at a flat 3% and cover the heat with an accessory.
