The Advanced Chest is the last storage container in the game, and it is the only one that solves the base-clutter problem for good — 54 slots in a single box, with more HP and Defense than anything else you can store items in. This guide covers the level 59 unlock, the 20 [Hexolite](https://palworld-db.com/item/StainlessSteel), 20 [Carbon Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/CarbonFiber) and 2 [Computer](https://palworld-db.com/item/Computer) it costs, every raw material underneath that recipe, and whether it beats the [Refined Metal Chest](https://palworld-db.com/structures?q=Refined%20Metal%20Chest) you have been spamming for 20 levels.

## Advanced Chest at a Glance

It sits in the **Storage** tab of the build menu, one row past the Refined Metal Chest, and it is a plain container — no power, no assigned worker, no maintenance. What sets it apart is the numbers. At 54 slots it holds more than any other single container, and at 15,000 HP with 15 Defense it is the sturdiest storage object in the game by a wide margin. That matters more than it sounds: raiders and hostile Pals target base structures, and a chest that dies takes its contents with it. Everything else about this build is expensive, which is the trade.

## How to Unlock the Advanced Chest

Hit character level 59, open the [Palworld Technology Tree](https://palworld-db.com/tech), and spend four points. That is the whole unlock — no schematic to hunt, no boss to farm, no parent node to buy first. Four points is the most any chest in the game costs, and it follows the pattern exactly: the [Wooden Chest](https://palworld-db.com/structures?q=Wooden%20Chest) is 1 point at level 2, [Metal Chest](https://palworld-db.com/structures?q=Metal%20Chest) is 2 at level 13, [Refined Metal Chest](https://palworld-db.com/structures?q=Refined%20Metal%20Chest) is 3 at level 39, and this one closes the line at 4.

| Requirement | Status |
| --- | --- |
| Character level 59 | Hard gate — the node will not appear before it |
| 4 technology points | Normal points; see how to farm more below |
| Parent technology | None |
| Schematic or drop | Not needed |
| (Lv. 58) | Effectively mandatory — the only station that smelts Hexolite |
| (Lv. 29) | Makes Carbon Fiber and Polymer |
| (Lv. 42) | Makes the Computer and its Bio Batteries |
| Placement | Anywhere inside a base's build radius |

The real gate is not the four points, it is the [Gigantic Furnace](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-get-gigantic-furnace) one level earlier. Hexolite only comes out of that furnace, and the furnace itself wants 150 [Plasteel](https://palworld-db.com/item/Plastic), 100 [Polymer](https://palworld-db.com/item/Polymer), 200 [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) and 12 Computers. If you are reading this at level 59 without a furnace standing, build that first — the chest is a 20-minute job afterwards and impossible before. If points are what you are short on, [farming technology points](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-get-technology-points) off Alpha Pals and tower bosses is faster than levelling.

## Advanced Chest Materials

Three materials, 42 items total, and none of them are things you pick up off the ground. Every single one is a crafted intermediate, which is why this chest feels so much heavier than the rest of the line. Hexolite is the Feybreak-tier alloy and the bulk of the cost. Carbon Fiber is the cheap one — 100 [Charcoal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Charcoal) and 20 [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) covers all 20 of them. The two Computers look small on the recipe card and are actually the deepest part of the tree, pulling in Circuit Boards, Plasteel and Bio Batteries underneath. Nothing here is sold by a merchant, so all of it has to be made.

| Material | Qty | Crafted at | What it needs |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Hexolite](https://palworld-db.com/item/StainlessSteel) | 20 | (Lv. 58) | 1 [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) + 1 [Hexolite Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/RainbowCrystal) each |
| [Carbon Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/CarbonFiber) | 20 | (Lv. 29) | 5 [Charcoal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Charcoal) + 1 [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) each |
| [Computer](https://palworld-db.com/item/Computer) | 2 | (Lv. 42) | 2 [Circuit Board](https://palworld-db.com/item/MachineParts2) + 3 [Plasteel](https://palworld-db.com/item/Plastic) + 2 [Bio Battery](https://palworld-db.com/item/Bio_Battery) + 2 [Carbon Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/CarbonFiber) each |

### How to Get Hexolite

Hexolite is a one-to-one alloy: one [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) plus one [Hexolite Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/RainbowCrystal) per bar, smelted in the Gigantic Furnace. The quartz is the easy half — 635 Hexolite Quartz nodes are pinned across the map and the crystal only forms on Feybreak, so a base parked in the middle of a cluster turns this into a mining Pal's problem instead of yours. Chromite is the awkward half, because it does not spawn as a surface node at all. It is buried, and you dig it up with a Metal Detector on the right islands. If you would rather not dig, supply drops in Feybreak always carry 30 to 40 Chromite, which is more than the whole chest needs from a single crate.

| Material | Qty needed | Best sources |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Hexolite Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/RainbowCrystal) | 20 | 635 mapped nodes on the [Hexolite Quartz map layer](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_hexolitequartz); Feybreak field chests (15.2%, 1-2); Ancient Feybreak Ruins expedition (10-20) |
| [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) | 20 | Metal Detector digs; Feybreak supply drops (100%, 30-40); Dark Cave of Feybreak expedition (30-50 in 60 min); Sunreach Isle field chests (14.9%, 1-5) |

The Dark Cave of Feybreak expedition is the standout here and most players never look at it — one Hard run takes 60 minutes of real time and returns 30 to 50 Chromite with no effort from you at all. Queue it before you log off, and the Chromite half of the chest is done by morning. [Picking the right expedition team](https://palworld-db.com/guides/best-pals-for-expeditions) cuts the failure rate on Hard runs, which is the only thing that can waste the trip.

### How to Get Carbon Fiber

Each Carbon Fiber is 5 [Charcoal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Charcoal) and 1 [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) on a Production Assembly Line, so 20 of them means 100 Charcoal and 20 Flame Organ. Charcoal is 2 Wood a piece in any furnace, so that half is 200 Wood — a single Lumbering Pal at a base with a few of the 4,654 mapped tree nodes nearby covers it while you do something else. Flame Organ is the part you actually farm, and every source below drops it on a guaranteed 100% roll, so this is a kill count rather than a rarity grind.

| Pal | Flame Organ per kill | Spawn spots | Alpha |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Bushi Noct](https://palworld-db.com/pal/bushi-noct) | 4-8 | 1,990 | — |
| [Ragnahawk](https://palworld-db.com/pal/ragnahawk) | 5-7 | 150 | — |
| [Reptyro](https://palworld-db.com/pal/reptyro) | 5-7 | 22 | Lv. 50 |
| [Blazamut](https://palworld-db.com/pal/blazamut) | 10 | 16 | Lv. 52 |
| [Suzaku](https://palworld-db.com/pal/suzaku) | 5-10 | 13 | Lv. 45 |

[Bushi Noct](https://palworld-db.com/pal/bushi-noct) is the answer and it is not close — 1,990 spawn points across the islands against Ragnahawk's 150, at 4 to 8 organs a kill. Four or five of them cover the whole chest. [Blazamut](https://palworld-db.com/pal/blazamut) hands over a flat 10 every time but only spawns in 16 places, so it is a detour rather than a route. The better long-term play is passive: three Pals produce Flame Organ on a [Ranch](https://palworld-db.com/structures?q=Ranch) and never stop, which quietly stockpiles the material for every Carbon Fiber build after this one. [Flambelle](https://palworld-db.com/pal/flambelle) is the easiest of the three to get hold of with 232 spawn points.

### How to Get Computer

Two Computers is where the recipe hides its real weight. Each one is 2 [Circuit Board](https://palworld-db.com/item/MachineParts2), 3 [Plasteel](https://palworld-db.com/item/Plastic), 2 [Bio Battery](https://palworld-db.com/item/Bio_Battery) and 2 [Carbon Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/CarbonFiber) on a Production Assembly Line II, and three of those four are themselves crafted. Plasteel needs an [Electric Furnace](https://palworld-db.com/structures?q=Electric%20Furnace) and Crude Oil, which means a [Crude Oil Extractor](https://palworld-db.com/structures?q=Crude%20Oil%20Extractor) on one of the 185 mapped oil fields — if you have not set that up yet, do it before anything else on this list, because Plasteel gates most of the late game and not just this chest.

| Sub-material | Qty for 2 Computers | Recipe | Station |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Circuit Board](https://palworld-db.com/item/MachineParts2) | 4 | 2 [Pure Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/Quartz) + 1 [Polymer](https://palworld-db.com/item/Polymer) | |
| [Plasteel](https://palworld-db.com/item/Plastic) | 6 | 2 [Crude Oil](https://palworld-db.com/item/CrudeOil) + 5 [Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperOre) | Electric Furnace (Lv. 44) |
| [Bio Battery](https://palworld-db.com/item/Bio_Battery) | 4 | 1 [Electric Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/ElectricOrgan) + 1 [Refined Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronIngot) + 1 [Carbon Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/CarbonFiber) | |
| [Carbon Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/CarbonFiber) | 4 | 5 [Charcoal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Charcoal) + 1 [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) each | |

Note the sting in that table: the Bio Batteries want another 4 Carbon Fiber on top of the 4 the Computers ask for directly, so the chest actually consumes 28 Carbon Fiber rather than the 20 printed on its recipe. [Polymer](https://palworld-db.com/item/Polymer) is the other easy thing to run out of — 2 [Pal Oil](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalOil) and 1 [Sulfur](https://palworld-db.com/item/Sulfur) each, with 655 Sulfur nodes mapped for the mineral half. [Electric Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/ElectricOrgan) is the one material in the entire tree you can simply buy, at 300 Gold from Village, Caravan and Dungeon shops.

## The Full Raw Material Cost of One Advanced Chest

Here is what one chest costs once every intermediate is unpacked down to things you mine, chop, pump or kill for. It is a bigger list than the three-line recipe suggests, and the two numbers that surprise people are the 280 Wood and the 28 Flame Organ — both driven entirely by Carbon Fiber, and both trivially automated at a base. The genuinely scarce entries are the 20 Chromite and 20 Hexolite Quartz, which is a Feybreak trip either way. Everything else you almost certainly already have piled up by level 59.

| Raw material | Total needed | Where it comes from |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) | 280 | 4,654 mapped [Lumber nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_lumber) — burns down to 140 Charcoal |
| [Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperOre) | 38 | 1,632 mapped [Copper Ore nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_copperore) |
| [Flame Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/FireOrgan) | 28 | Bushi Noct and other Fire Pals at a 100% drop rate, or a Ranch |
| [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) | 20 | Metal Detector digs and Feybreak supply drops (30-40 per crate) |
| [Hexolite Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/RainbowCrystal) | 20 | 635 mapped [Hexolite Quartz nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_hexolitequartz) on Feybreak |
| [Crude Oil](https://palworld-db.com/item/CrudeOil) | 12 | 185 mapped [Oil Fields](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=oilfield) via the Crude Oil Extractor |
| [Pure Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/Quartz) | 8 | 607 mapped [Pure Quartz nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_purequartz) |
| [Pal Oil](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalOil) | 8 | [Mammorest](https://palworld-db.com/pal/mammorest) drops 5-10 on a guaranteed roll |
| [Coal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Coal) | 8 | 824 mapped [Coal nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_coal) — feeds the Refined Ingots |
| [Sulfur](https://palworld-db.com/item/Sulfur) | 4 | 655 mapped [Sulfur nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_sulfur) |
| [Electric Organ](https://palworld-db.com/item/ElectricOrgan) | 4 | 300 Gold each at Village, Caravan and Dungeon shops |

If you are building more than one — and you should, since the whole point is replacing a wall of small boxes — multiply the two Feybreak entries and leave the rest to your base. A base sitting on Copper Ore and Coal with a Lumbering Pal and a Ranch produces almost this entire list on its own; check [the best base locations](https://palworld-db.com/guides/best-base-locations) for spots that cover several of these node types at once.

## Advanced Chest vs Every Other Chest

The honest comparison, because "biggest chest" is only half the story. On slots and survivability the Advanced Chest wins outright — 15,000 HP is nearly double the Refined Metal Chest and more than triple the Wooden Chest, and its 15 Defense tops the list too. But the [Refined Metal Chest](https://palworld-db.com/structures?q=Refined%20Metal%20Chest) costs 5 Refined Ingot, 10 Hardwood and 10 Nail, which you can mass-produce without thinking, and the [Large Container](https://palworld-db.com/structures?q=Large%20Container) is 100 Ingot for 10,000 HP of bulk storage at level 23. The Advanced Chest is not a replacement for spamming those — it is the box you put the things you cannot afford to lose in.

| Chest | Tech Lv. | Points | HP | Def | Materials |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| | 2 | 1 | 4,000 | 6 | 15 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood), 5 [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone) |
| | 13 | 2 | 6,000 | 9 | 5 [Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperIngot), 10 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) |
| | 23 | — | 10,000 | 4 | 100 [Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperIngot) |
| | 39 | 3 | 8,000 | 12 | 5 [Refined Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronIngot), 10 [Hardwood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood_Fine), 10 [Nail](https://palworld-db.com/item/MachineParts) |
| | 41 | — | 4,000 | 6 | 50 [Refined Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronIngot), 100 [Paldium Fragment](https://palworld-db.com/item/Pal_crystal_S), 10 [Ancient Civilization Parts](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalCrystal_Ex) |
| | 55 | — | 2,000 | 2 | 15 [Hardwood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood_Fine), 5 [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone) |
| **** | **59** | **4** | **15,000** | **15** | **20 [Hexolite](https://palworld-db.com/item/StainlessSteel), 20 [Carbon Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/CarbonFiber), 2 [Computer](https://palworld-db.com/item/Computer)** |

One row deserves a second look. The [Guild Chest](https://palworld-db.com/structures?q=Guild%20Chest) has the same 4,000 HP as the starter Wooden Chest, so it is fragile, but it moves items through subspace and shares its contents across every base you place one in. That is a completely different job. Build Guild Chests for logistics between bases and Advanced Chests for the vault at your main one — they are not competing for the same slot. The [Japanese-Style Chest](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-get-japanese-style-chest) at the bottom of the durability list is purely cosmetic and should never hold anything you care about.

## Pair It With the Item Retrieval Machine

The one thing 54 slots does not fix is remembering which box has your ammo. The [Item Retrieval Machine](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-get-item-retrieval-machine) unlocks ten levels earlier at 49 and pulls from every chest in the base at once, so pairing it with two or three Advanced Chests turns your whole storage wall into a single searchable inventory. It costs 100 [Pal Metal Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/StealIngot), 30 [Paldium Fragment](https://palworld-db.com/item/Pal_crystal_S) and 4 [Bio Battery](https://palworld-db.com/item/Bio_Battery) — the Bio Batteries you are already making for the Computers.

> **Tip.** Crafting stations pull materials straight out of nearby chests, so put your Advanced Chests behind the workbenches rather than off in a storeroom. And because Pals with the Transporting suitability haul finished goods into the nearest chest automatically, one Advanced Chest next to your production line absorbs an entire day of output without you touching it.

## Is the Advanced Chest Worth Building?

Yes, but build two or three rather than twenty. The material cost is real — 28 Carbon Fiber, 20 Chromite and a Gigantic Furnace standing before you can start — so this is not a box you spam the way you spammed Metal Chests. What it is worth doing is consolidating: replace the wall of Refined Metal Chests holding your ingots, ammo and schematics with a couple of Advanced Chests, keep the cheap boxes for bulk ore and wood that you would not mourn, and put the Item Retrieval Machine in front of all of it. At 54 slots and 15,000 HP a piece, three of them is the last storage decision you will need to make.
