The Ancient Material Synthesizer is the level 78 base facility that produces twelve different resources — wood and stone at one end, [Soralite](https://palworld-db.com/item/SkyIslandOre) and [Coralum Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/ManganeseOre) at the other — out of a single machine. This guide covers what it costs in technology points and materials, the raw farm hiding behind those materials, every resource it makes and how fast, and the 19 Pals that meet its work requirement.

## Ancient Material Synthesizer at a Glance

This is one of the last three structures Palworld unlocks — out of 480 buildable things, only the Ancient Farm, the Jetragon Statue and this sit at technology level 78 or higher. Its **800 electricity** draw is the tame part of the deal: that is only the 13th-heaviest pull among the 42 structures that need power, well under the [Ancient Furnace](https://palworld-db.com/structures) at 3,000 or the Ancient Workbench at 2,000. The catch is staffing. It accepts exactly one Pal at a time, so it cannot be brute-forced with a crowded base the way a Logging Site can.

## How to Unlock the Ancient Material Synthesizer

Hit character level 78, open the [Palworld technology tree](https://palworld-db.com/tech) and spend 5 points. That is the whole unlock, and it is nowhere near the whole job — both build materials are late-game crafts of their own, and neither can be bought. There is also a reason to build it even if you never touch the ore modes: the level 34 base camp task asks for one Ancient Material Synthesizer and one Ancient Farm, and since base camps cap at level 35, that is the last construction requirement the game ever gives you.

| Gate | Level | Cost | Why it matters |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Paloxite Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/WorldTreeIngot) recipe | 74 | 4 points | Unlocks the 50 ingots the build needs — nothing else makes them |
| | 75 | — | The late-game grid that covers an 800 draw sitting next to your other Ancient stations |
| | 78 | 5 points | The facility itself |
| [Ancient Civilization Core](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientParts2) ×10 | — | 10 boss kills | Only two Pals in the game drop it, one guaranteed per kill |

## Build Materials and What They Really Cost

Two lines on the build screen, and both of them are the expensive kind. The 50 [Paloxite Ingots](https://palworld-db.com/item/WorldTreeIngot) are worth 16,200 gold each at merchant rates and carry 1,000,000 crafting workload **per bar** — 50,000,000 workload before the facility's own 1,000,000 build cost even starts. The 10 [Ancient Civilization Cores](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientParts2) are not craftable at all. Neither material has a shortcut, so treat this as a multi-session project rather than something you knock out after hitting level 78.

| Material | Qty | How it is made or found | Value each |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Paloxite Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/WorldTreeIngot) | 50 | Crafted: 1 [Soralite](https://palworld-db.com/item/SkyIslandOre) + 2 [Paloxite](https://palworld-db.com/item/WorldTreeOre) + 1 [World Tree Holy Water](https://palworld-db.com/item/WorldTreeHolyWater) | 16,200 |
| [Ancient Civilization Core](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientParts2) | 10 | Dropped by [Silvance](https://palworld-db.com/pal/silvance) and [Dandilord](https://palworld-db.com/pal/dandilord), 1 guaranteed per kill | 2,000 |

### Paloxite Ingot ×50

One [Soralite](https://palworld-db.com/item/SkyIslandOre), two [Paloxite](https://palworld-db.com/item/WorldTreeOre) and one [World Tree Holy Water](https://palworld-db.com/item/WorldTreeHolyWater) per bar, unlocked at technology level 74 for 4 points. Soralite is the trip you can plan around — [226 Soralite nodes sit on the map](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_soralite), all in Sunreach, and [Jetragon](https://palworld-db.com/pal/jetragon) hands over 10 per kill at 100% while [Pierdon Cryst](https://palworld-db.com/pal/pierdon-cryst) gives 4–5. Paloxite is the awkward one, because it has no mineable node anywhere: it comes out of the [Ancient Relic Recycler](https://palworld-db.com/guides/ancient-relic-recycler) at 1–3 per Decayed Relic and up to 9–11 per Glistening Relic, or as an 18.7% field drop in the World Tree region. Holy Water is the easy line — a guaranteed 5–10 from World Tree field drops, and 80 different Pals drop it at 50%.

### Ancient Civilization Core ×10

Ten kills, no negotiation. [Silvance](https://palworld-db.com/pal/silvance) and [Dandilord](https://palworld-db.com/pal/dandilord) are the only two Pals in the game that drop [Ancient Civilization Cores](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientParts2), one guaranteed each, and both are World Tree bosses. Ten cores is the single biggest time sink in the build, and it stacks with everything else you want at this tier — the [Ancient Power Generator](https://palworld-db.com/structures) wants 10 more and the Ancient Farm another 10, so a full endgame base is 30 boss clears deep before you count the [Ancient Workbench](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-get-ancient-workbench). The [Ancient Civilization Core guide](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-get-ancient-civilization-cores) has the fight order.

## Full Raw Material Cost

Trace both lines down to things you mine, loot or kill and the whole facility comes to four materials. It is a short list and a brutal one — there is no filler here, no 1,200 Wood you already have lying around. The 100 [Paloxite](https://palworld-db.com/item/WorldTreeOre) is the row that decides your timeline if you have been ignoring relics, since recycling is by far the fastest route and a Glistening Relic returns up to 11 at a time. The 10 cores are the row that cannot be rushed at all.

| Raw material | Total needed | Where to get it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Paloxite](https://palworld-db.com/item/WorldTreeOre) | 100 | Recycling Ancient Relics (1–3 up to 9–11 by grade), or an 18.7% field drop in the World Tree |
| [Soralite](https://palworld-db.com/item/SkyIslandOre) | 50 | [226 nodes, all in Sunreach](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_soralite), [Jetragon](https://palworld-db.com/pal/jetragon) at 10 per kill, or 30–40 from a Sunreach supply drop |
| [World Tree Holy Water](https://palworld-db.com/item/WorldTreeHolyWater) | 50 | 5–10 guaranteed from World Tree field drops, plus 80 Pals at 50% — see [the full Holy Water guide](https://palworld-db.com/guides/where-to-find-holy-water) |
| [Ancient Civilization Core](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientParts2) | 10 | Only [Silvance](https://palworld-db.com/pal/silvance) and [Dandilord](https://palworld-db.com/pal/dandilord), 1 guaranteed each |

## Everything the Ancient Material Synthesizer Produces

Twelve resources, picked from the facility's menu and swapped whenever you like. Each one carries its own work cost per unit and they are nowhere near equal — a [Paldium Fragment](https://palworld-db.com/item/Pal_crystal_S) takes 450 work while a single [Soralite](https://palworld-db.com/item/SkyIslandOre) takes 25,000, which is 55 times longer for one item. That spread is the thing to plan around: leave it on Soralite or [Coralum Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/ManganeseOre) overnight, and switch to wood or stone only if you genuinely have nothing else running. Note that Ore is the one resource with two dedicated tiers — 8,000 work per unit at the Lv. 24 Ore Mining Site, 1,600 at the Lv. 39 Ore Mining Site II.

| Resource | Work per unit | Dedicated facility | Tech Lv |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Paldium Fragment](https://palworld-db.com/item/Pal_crystal_S) | 450 | **None** — this facility only | — |
| [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) | 800 | | 7 |
| [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone) | 800 | | 7 |
| [Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperOre) | 1,600 | | 39 |
| [Coal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Coal) | 8,000 | | 37 |
| [Hardwood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood_Fine) | 8,000 | | 43 |
| [Sulfur](https://palworld-db.com/item/Sulfur) | 8,000 | | 46 |
| [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) | 8,000 | **None** — this facility only | — |
| [Pure Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/Quartz) | 10,000 | | 52 |
| [Hexolite Quartz](https://palworld-db.com/item/RainbowCrystal) | 20,000 | | 62 |
| [Coralum Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/ManganeseOre) | 20,000 | **None** — this facility only | — |
| [Soralite](https://palworld-db.com/item/SkyIslandOre) | 25,000 | | 72 |

### The Three Resources Nothing Else Produces

Nine of the twelve have a dedicated quarry or logging site you could have built decades of tech levels earlier. Three do not, and they are the reason this facility is worth the 10 [Ancient Civilization Cores](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientParts2). [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) has no map node at all — outside this machine it is buried treasure, a 30–40 Feybreak supply drop, an expedition reward, or 2–3 a kill from [Silvegis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/silvegis). [Coralum Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/ManganeseOre) has no node either and only three Pals drop it, [Neptilius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/neptilius) at a flat 10 and [Whalaska](https://palworld-db.com/pal/whalaska) at 2–3; otherwise it is oil rig crates and 60-minute expeditions. Even [Paldium Fragment](https://palworld-db.com/item/Pal_crystal_S), which you have been picking up since hour one, has no other base facility that generates it. Set the machine to one of these three and it earns its keep; set it to Wood and you have built a very expensive Logging Site.

## Best Pals to Run the Ancient Material Synthesizer

The facility wants **Mining Lv. 6 or Lumbering Lv. 6**, which is a high bar: 13 Pals in the game reach Mining 6 and only 8 reach Lumbering 6, so 19 qualify in total. Because just one Pal can be slotted in, that Pal decides which half of the menu you can run — a miner cannot cut Wood or Hardwood, and a lumberjack cannot touch the ores. Exactly two Pals clear both bars: [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius) and [Necromus](https://palworld-db.com/pal/necromus), and either one lets you switch between all twelve resources without ever swapping workers. If you cannot get a Legendary, [Aegidron](https://palworld-db.com/pal/aegidron) is the best miner in the game at Mining 8, and [Celesdir](https://palworld-db.com/pal/celesdir) is the realistic answer for wood — Lumbering 7 with 1,613 spawn spots, more than any other worker on this list by a wide margin.

| Pal | Mining | Lumbering | Where to get it |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius) | 6 | 6 | Legendary — a Lv. 60 alpha pinned on the map; breeds only from a Paladius pair |
| [Necromus](https://palworld-db.com/pal/necromus) | 6 | 6 | Legendary — Paladius's Dark counterpart, breeds only from a Necromus pair |
| [Aegidron](https://palworld-db.com/pal/aegidron) | 8 | — | Lv. 79 alpha, no ordinary wild spots — the best Mining rating in the game |
| [Astegon](https://palworld-db.com/pal/astegon) | 7 | — | Lv. 55 alpha, no ordinary wild spots |
| [Blazamut](https://palworld-db.com/pal/blazamut) | 7 | — | 16 wild spots plus a Lv. 52 alpha |
| [Blazamut Ryu](https://palworld-db.com/pal/blazamut-ryu) | 7 | — | No wild spots — breeds only from a Blazamut Ryu pair |
| [Knocklem](https://palworld-db.com/pal/knocklem) | 7 | — | 33 wild spots plus a Lv. 55 alpha; also Transporting 7 |
| [Knocklem Ignis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/knocklem-ignis) | 7 | — | 58 wild spots — the easiest Mining 7 to find |
| [Anubis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/anubis) | 6 | — | 35 wild spots plus a Lv. 55 alpha; also Handiwork 6 |
| [Dualith](https://palworld-db.com/pal/dualith) | 6 | — | 75 wild spots and two alphas at Lv. 55 and Lv. 75 |
| [Dualith Noct](https://palworld-db.com/pal/dualith-noct) | 6 | — | 3 wild spots plus a Lv. 70 alpha |
| [Menasting Terra](https://palworld-db.com/pal/menasting-terra) | 6 | — | 11 wild spots plus a Lv. 55 alpha |
| [Tetroise Primo](https://palworld-db.com/pal/tetroise-primo) | 6 | — | 40 wild spots plus a Lv. 60 alpha |
| [Celesdir Noct](https://palworld-db.com/pal/celesdir-noct) | — | 8 | Lv. 79 alpha, no ordinary wild spots — the best Lumbering rating in the game |
| [Celesdir](https://palworld-db.com/pal/celesdir) | — | 7 | 1,613 wild spots plus a Lv. 65 alpha — by far the easiest worker here |
| [Hartalis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/hartalis) | — | 7 | No wild spots — breeds only from a Hartalis pair; also Gathering 7 |
| [Bastigor](https://palworld-db.com/pal/bastigor) | — | 6 | 69 wild spots; also Cooling 8 |
| [Cryolinx Terra](https://palworld-db.com/pal/cryolinx-terra) | — | 6 | 156 wild spots plus a Lv. 62 alpha |
| [Silvegis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/silvegis) | — | 6 | Lv. 62 alpha, no ordinary wild spots; drops 2–3 [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium) per kill |

One more thing worth knowing before you commit a worker: a Pal parked here loses SAN steadily while it works, same as any mining or logging job, so pair the facility with a [hot spring and good food](https://palworld-db.com/guides/best-food-for-san) or it will burn out mid-queue. If you are still building your roster, [Celesdir](https://palworld-db.com/pal/celesdir) first and [Knocklem Ignis](https://palworld-db.com/pal/knocklem-ignis) second is the cheapest way to cover both halves of the menu — 1,613 and 58 spawn spots respectively, against alphas and Legendaries for everything rated higher.

> **Tip.** Do not build this until you have the [Ancient Power Generator](https://palworld-db.com/structures) or spare capacity for another 800 electricity. Stacked with an [Ancient Furnace](https://palworld-db.com/structures) at 3,000 and an Ancient Workbench at 2,000, a full Ancient-tier base is pulling 5,800 before this machine plugs in — and an unpowered synthesizer produces nothing at all, no matter which Pal is standing in it.

## Ancient Material Synthesizer vs the Dedicated Quarries

The honest comparison is not speed — it is footprint and materials. Nine separate resource facilities eat nine build slots, plus workers for each, plus their own material bills; this replaces all of them with one machine and one Pal, and adds three resources they cannot produce. What you give up is parallelism, because a base running four quarries at once genuinely out-produces a single synthesizer on total throughput. The other real difference is the entry fee: every quarry below asks for [Ancient Civilization Parts](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalCrystal_Ex) you find in caves and chests, while this one wants [Ancient Civilization Cores](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientParts2) that come off boss kills only.

| Facility | Tech Lv | Power | Work suitability | Resources covered |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| | 78 | 800 | Mining 6 **or** Lumbering 6 | 12 |
| | 72 | None | Mining 1 | 1 |
| | 62 | None | Mining 1 | 1 |
| | 52 | None | Mining 1 | 1 |
| | 46 | None | Mining 1 | 1 |
| | 43 | None | Lumbering 1 | 1 |
| | 39 | None | Mining 1 | 1 |
| | 37 | None | Mining 1 | 1 |

## Is the Ancient Material Synthesizer Worth Building

Yes, but for three resources rather than twelve. [Chromite](https://palworld-db.com/item/Chromium), [Coralum Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/ManganeseOre) and [Paldium Fragment](https://palworld-db.com/item/Pal_crystal_S) have no other base facility anywhere in the game, and the first two are otherwise stuck behind oil rig crates, expeditions and a handful of Pal drops — that alone justifies the 10 [Ancient Civilization Cores](https://palworld-db.com/item/AncientParts2). Everything else it makes, a cheaper quarry already covers. Build it, staff it with [Paladius](https://palworld-db.com/pal/paladius) or [Necromus](https://palworld-db.com/pal/necromus) if you have one so you never have to swap workers, and leave it parked on Coralum Ore. And if you are only chasing the base camp level cap, note that this and the Ancient Farm are the final pair the game asks for.
