The Faux Crimson Foliage Set is a one-point technology at level 14 that drops three artificial autumn trees and a boulder into your build menu. This guide covers the level and point cost, all four pieces with their exact recipes, the 60 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) and 20 [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone) the full set costs, and the fastest ways to cover that bill at a level where every log still matters.

## Faux Crimson Foliage Set at a Glance

This is the second faux plant set on the [Palworld Technology Tree](https://palworld-db.com/tech), sitting two levels above the plain green one, and it is the cheapest four-piece decoration unlock you will find this early. There is no parent technology to buy first, so your character level is the only gate, and nothing here needs power, a worker or a crafting station once it is unlocked. The catch is permanence — these pieces cannot be chopped or mined back down, so every log and every rock you sink into them is gone for good.

| What | Detail |

| Total cost for all four | 60 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) + 20 [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone) |

| Power draw | None on any piece |
| Workers needed | None — nothing in the set is a job station |

## How to Unlock the Faux Crimson Foliage Set

Hit character level 14, open the technology tree and spend a single point on the Faux Crimson Foliage Set — all four pieces then live permanently in the Furniture tab of your build menu. Level 14 is a busy row that wants 12 normal points across eight technologies, plus 2 Ancient Technology Points from a separate pool for the . If points are tight, the and [Mega Sphere](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalSphere_Mega) pair is the row's real priority since it moves you off basic Spheres and onto something that holds the tougher Pals you are about to meet, and the Condenser is what starts raising your team's star ranks. The foliage set is a leftovers purchase — but at one point for four pieces, leftovers cover it fast.

| Level 14 technology | Points | Point type |
| --- | --- | --- |
| | 1 | Normal |
| [Average Feed Bag](https://palworld-db.com/item/AutoMealPouch_Tier2) | 2 | Normal |
| **** | **1** | **Normal** |
| [Mega Sphere](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalSphere_Mega) | 2 | Normal |
| | 2 | Ancient |
| | 3 | Normal |
| [Univolt Saddle](https://palworld-db.com/item/SkillUnlock_Kirin) | 1 | Normal |
| | 2 | Normal |

## All 4 Pieces and What Each One Costs

The three trees are variants A, B and C of the same crimson canopy and they are priced identically at 20 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) each, so there is no cheap filler tree to spam — mixing all three is the point, because a row of nothing but variant A reads as copy-paste from across the base. The is the odd one out and the reason this set punches above its level: it is the only piece in the whole group that charges [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone) instead of Wood, which means you can place it out of a completely different pile of materials than the trees.

| Piece | Materials | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| | 20 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) | Tree variant A |
| | 20 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) | Tree variant B |
| | 20 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) | Tree variant C |
| | 20 [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone) | Boulder — the only ground-cover piece that costs Stone |

## Faux Rock Is the Only Boulder in the Build Menu

Search all 480 buildable structures for a rock and you get exactly one hit, and it is locked behind this set. That makes the Faux Crimson Foliage Set worth a point even if you never place a single red tree — the is the game's only piece of hard landscaping, and it fits desert, volcanic, snow and coastal builds that the crimson trees would look wrong in. It also unlocks 23 levels before the [Faux Desert Greenery Set](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-get-faux-desert-greenery-set), which ships with no ground cover of its own and leans on this rock to fill the sand.

Compared to the other filler pieces, the rock is the odd material out in the best way. Every other ground cover in the game is a bush that wants [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) or [Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/Fiber) — the same two resources your early chests, weapons and Pal Spheres are already fighting over. The rock spends [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone), which almost nothing else at this stage of the game competes for.

| Ground cover | From set | Tech level | Cost | Best used for |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| | Faux Greenery Set | 12 | 20 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) | Plain green filler under any forest build |
| **** | **Faux Crimson Foliage Set** | **14** | **20 [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone)** | **Bare rock for dunes, cliffs, snow and volcanic bases** |
| | Faux Golden Foliage Set | 16 | 20 [Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/Fiber) | Dry yellow scrub beside autumn or desert trees |
| | Faux Bamboo Set | 23 | 20 [Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/Fiber) | Colour accents around gardens and paths |
| | Faux Tropical Greenery Set | 27 | 20 [Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/Fiber) | Broad palm leaves for island bases |
| | Faux Snowy Greenery Set | 49 | 20 [Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/Fiber) | Snow-dusted filler in the frozen north |

## How to Farm the 60 Wood and 20 Stone

The whole set costs 80 units of the two most basic resources in the game, and unlike the Hardwood-gated sets further up the tree, nothing here needs a material you have to travel for. No Pal drops [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) or [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone) when defeated, so there are only three real routes to 80: let your base produce it, swing an axe and a pickaxe yourself, or buy it. Base production wins by a mile at level 14, because the two facilities that make it happen unlocked seven levels ago.

### Let a Logging Site and Stone Pit Do It

The and both unlock at technology level 7, so a level 14 player has almost certainly built them already — and if you have, the entire foliage set costs you nothing but patience. Park a logger and a miner on the two stations, go do something else, and come back to a chest with more than 80 units in it. Building both from scratch is the one case where this gets awkward: together they want 70 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood), 70 [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone) and 20 [Paldium Fragment](https://palworld-db.com/item/Pal_crystal_S), which is more than the decoration itself, so put them up for the production and treat the trees as a bonus.

| Facility | Tech level | Build cost | Produces |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| | 7 | 50 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood), 20 [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone), 10 [Paldium Fragment](https://palworld-db.com/item/Pal_crystal_S) | [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) — needs a Lumbering worker |
| | 7 | 50 [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone), 20 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood), 10 [Paldium Fragment](https://palworld-db.com/item/Pal_crystal_S) | [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone) — needs a Mining worker |

### Best Early Loggers and Miners to Assign

63 Pals can work Lumbering and 57 can work Mining, but almost none of the high-level ones are catchable at 14, so the question is which cheap Pal gives you the most levels per capture. [Digtoise](https://palworld-db.com/pal/digtoise) is the standout answer on the Mining side at work level 4, and with 660 spawn points it is not a rare sighting either — three work levels clear of the [Cattiva](https://palworld-db.com/pal/cattiva) most players default to. For Lumbering, [Cawgnito](https://palworld-db.com/pal/cawgnito) is the pick at work level 2 and by far the most common option in the game with 1,463 night spawn points against 264 in daylight, so go hunting after dark. [Arsox](https://palworld-db.com/pal/arsox) matches its work level and fights better if you would rather not do a night run.

| Pal | Job | Work level | Spawn points | Map |

### Chop and Mine It Yourself

If you want the trees up tonight, gathering by hand is faster than waiting on a station. Our [Palworld interactive map](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_lumber) pins 4,654 lumber nodes with the Lumber layer on, and stone is even easier to come by — 8,157 large rocks plus 4,286 small ones, for 12,443 mineable spots across the map. The 20 [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone) for the boulder is barely a detour; the 60 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) is the part that takes a few minutes with a stone axe. Nodes respawn, so there is no need to strip a whole forest in one trip.

### Buy It From the Wandering Trader

[Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) and [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone) both cost 12 Gold a unit, and only the Wandering Trader stocks them — the fixed village counters do not. That puts the complete four-piece set at 960 Gold, which is genuinely cheap by decoration standards and the fastest option if you are already flush from selling drops. There is no per-visit cap, so you can walk out with all 80 units in one stop.

> **Tip.** Buy the technology point long before you spend the materials. The unlock is permanent and costs nothing to sit on, and the trees will still be there when your base is not fighting you for logs. If you only have 20 units spare, spend them on the first — it is the piece you cannot get from any other set, and [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone) is the resource your early build queue misses least.

## Every Faux Decoration Set Compared

There are eight faux decoration sets on the tech tree and every one of them costs exactly one point, so the only real difference is what you get and what it charges. Level 23 and below is where the value is: those four sets are built from [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood), [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone) and [Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/Fiber), while every set from Tropical onward charges 20 [Hardwood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood_Fine) per tree — a resource that does not come from a base facility until level 43. Bamboo is the piece-count champion at five, but Crimson is the one that gives you four pieces and the game's only rock before you have even unlocked a Sphere Workbench.

| Set | Tech level | Pieces | Full material cost |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Faux Greenery Set | 12 | 4 | 80 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) |
| **Faux Crimson Foliage Set** | **14** | **4** | **60 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) + 20 [Stone](https://palworld-db.com/item/Stone)** |
| Faux Golden Foliage Set | 16 | 4 | 60 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) + 20 [Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/Fiber) |
| Faux Bamboo Set | 23 | 5 | 60 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) + 40 [Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/Fiber) |
| Faux Tropical Greenery Set | 27 | 4 | 60 [Hardwood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood_Fine) + 20 [Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/Fiber) |
| Faux Desert Greenery Set | 37 | 3 | 60 [Hardwood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood_Fine) |
| Faux Snowy Greenery Set | 49 | 4 | 60 [Hardwood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood_Fine) + 20 [Fiber](https://palworld-db.com/item/Fiber) |
| Faux Cherry Blossoms Set | 56 | 3 | 60 [Hardwood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood_Fine) |

## Is the Crimson Set Worth a Point?

Yes, and it is one of the easier yes answers on the tech tree. One point out of the 12 that level 14 asks for buys four permanent pieces, the material bill is 80 units of the two resources your base already produces on its own, and one of those pieces has no substitute anywhere else in the game. The honest caveat is the same one that applies to every faux set: nothing here stores, produces, buffs or defends anything, so if you are still short on chests and Spheres, decorate later. Take the unlock the moment you hit 14, place the wherever a build looks bare, and let the pile up the 60 [Wood](https://palworld-db.com/item/Wood) for the trees while you get on with the game.
