The Guild Chest is the one storage box in the game that does not care where you are standing — drop a stack into it at your mining base and it is waiting for you at your breeding base a minute later. It is an ancient technology, it costs 4 Ancient Technology Points at level 41, and you only get one per base. This guide covers the unlock, the 50 [Refined Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronIngot), 100 [Paldium Fragment](https://palworld-db.com/item/Pal_crystal_S) and 10 [Ancient Civilization Parts](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalCrystal_Ex) it costs, the fastest way to farm each of those, and whether it should replace the chests you already have.

## Guild Chest at a Glance

It lives in the **Storage** tab of the build menu alongside the ordinary chest line, but it is not really part of that line. Everything else in that tab is a bigger, tougher box; this one is a network. Its raw numbers are actually the worst in the tab — 4,000 HP and 6 Defense, identical to the [Wooden Chest](https://palworld-db.com/structures?q=Wooden%20Chest) you built at level 2 — and it takes 120,000 build work to put up, which is more than twice what the [Advanced Chest](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-get-advanced-chest) needs. You are not paying for durability here. You are paying to delete the walk between your bases.

## What the Guild Chest Actually Does

Every Guild Chest you own reads from the same inventory. Put one down at each base and there is only ever one pool of items behind all of them — deposit at base A, withdraw at base B, no fast travel, no hauling, no weight penalty on the trip. That is the whole feature, and it is why the thing is gated behind ancient points instead of a normal tech node. You can run up to four bases once your base level hits 25, and with the one-per-base cap that means a maximum of four access points into the same shared box.

The practical effect is that your base network stops needing duplicate stockpiles. Ore smelted at your mining base is instantly available at the base with your workbenches. Paldium mined in the snowfields is available at your breeding base. If you play co-op, everyone in the guild pulls from the same pool, which turns a shared server base into something closer to a real supply chain — see the [Palworld multiplayer guide](https://palworld-db.com/guides/multiplayer-guide) for how guilds and shared bases are set up.

| Rule | How it works |
| --- | --- |
| Shared contents | All your Guild Chests show the same inventory, at every base |
| Chests per base | 1 — the build menu blocks a second one |
| Maximum bases | 4, unlocked at base level 25 |
| Maximum access points | 4 — one per base |
| Guild members | Everyone in the guild uses the same shared pool |
| Placement | Anywhere inside a base's build radius |
| Pals hauling to it | Works like any chest — [Transporting Pals](https://palworld-db.com/best-pals) will stock it |

## How to Unlock the Guild Chest

Reach character level 41, open the [Palworld Technology Tree](https://palworld-db.com/tech), and spend 4 Ancient Technology Points. The distinction matters: ancient points are a separate currency from the normal technology points you get on every level-up, and there are only 51 ancient technologies in the whole tree competing for them. Four points is a real chunk of that budget — the nodes on either side of it are Double Jump Boots at level 40 for 2 points and Logging Site II at level 43 for 3.

| Requirement | Status |
| --- | --- |
| Character level 41 | Hard gate — the node stays locked before it |
| 4 Ancient Technology Points | Ancient currency only; normal points will not work |
| Parent technology | None |
| Schematic or drop | Not needed |
| (Lv. 34) | You want it standing before you start — 50 Refined Ingot is a lot of smelting |
| A second base | Not required to build, but the chest is pointless with only one |

### How to Get Ancient Technology Points

Ancient points come from bosses, not from levelling. Beating an Alpha Pal in the field or a tower boss awards them, and each one only pays out the first time you kill it — repeat kills give you drops and XP but no more points. There are 90 alphas pinned across the islands, so the supply is finite but generous, and most players hit level 41 with far fewer points banked than they expect because they have been buying grappling gun upgrades all game.

If you are short, the fix is a hunting trip rather than a grind: pick off alphas you have never killed, working upward from your level. The [Alpha Pal hunting route](https://palworld-db.com/guides/alpha-hunting-by-level) orders every field boss by level so you can clear the ones you skipped, and [how to get more technology points](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-get-technology-points) covers both currencies in full. Four points is roughly four unvisited alphas, which is an afternoon at most.

## Guild Chest Materials

Three materials, 160 items total, and the difficulty is stacked oddly. The 100 Paldium Fragment looks like the scary number and is the easiest part — it is a common ore you have been mining since hour one. The 50 Refined Ingot is pure furnace time. The 10 Ancient Civilization Parts is the only piece that needs you to go and fight something, and it is over in two kills. Nothing here is late-game exotic, which is the nice surprise: the recipe is comfortably affordable at the level it unlocks.

| Material | Qty | Where it comes from |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Refined Ingot](https://palworld-db.com/item/IronIngot) | 50 | Smelted from 2 [Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperOre) + 2 [Coal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Coal) each — 100 Ore and 100 Coal total |
| [Paldium Fragment](https://palworld-db.com/item/Pal_crystal_S) | 100 | 711 Paldium Ore nodes on the map, expeditions, field drops, or 70 Gold each from a Wandering Merchant |
| [Ancient Civilization Parts](https://palworld-db.com/item/PalCrystal_Ex) | 10 | Guaranteed drop from every Alpha Pal — 2 kills covers it |

### How to Get Refined Ingot

Each bar is 2 [Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperOre) and 2 [Coal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Coal) in a furnace, so 50 of them means 100 Ore and 100 Coal. Ore is everywhere — 1,632 nodes are mapped across the islands — while Coal is the tighter half at 824 nodes, and those sit in the desert and the volcanic regions rather than near your starter base. If your mining base is not already parked on a coal cluster, that is the trip to make first. Once the raw material is in, this step is just furnace uptime: park a couple of Kindling Pals on an and go do something else.

| Material | Qty needed | Mapped nodes | Best passive source |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Ore](https://palworld-db.com/item/CopperOre) | 100 | [1,632 Ore nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_copperore) | Verdant Hollow expedition — Easy, 30 min, 30-50 per run |
| [Coal](https://palworld-db.com/item/Coal) | 100 | [824 Coal nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_coal) | Hidden Sanctum of the Desert expedition — Normal, 45 min, 20-40 per run |

The expedition column is the lazy route and it is genuinely good here. Two Verdant Hollow runs and two Desert runs, queued while you play, cover most of the raw material without you swinging a pickaxe once. If you would rather mine it, the [best base locations](https://palworld-db.com/guides/best-base-locations) list ranks spots by the node count inside the build radius, and the ore-heavy entries make this recipe a non-event.

### How to Get Paldium Fragment

100 Paldium is the biggest number on the recipe card and the smallest problem. It comes out of Paldium Ore nodes, of which 711 are mapped, and those blue crystal clusters respawn on the usual node timer so a single good spot refills forever. Every other source below is a bonus on top of mining. Note the Wandering Merchant line especially: at 70 Gold a fragment, the entire 100 costs 7,000 Gold, which is pocket change by level 41 and skips the farm completely if you are impatient.

| Source | Rate | Amount | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Paldium Ore nodes](https://palworld-db.com/map?layers=res_paldiumore) | — | Per node | 711 mapped across Palpagos Islands; respawning |
| [Wandering Merchant](https://palworld-db.com/merchants) | — | Unlimited | 70 Gold each — 7,000 Gold buys all 100 |
| Secret Realm of the Forest expedition | — | 20-40 | Easy, 30 minutes |
| Verdant Hollow expedition | — | 10-30 | Easy, 30 minutes |
| Field drops in the Snowfields | 26.5% | 2-7 | Best field-drop rate of any region |
| Junk hauls while [fishing](https://palworld-db.com/fishing) in the Grasslands | 25.0% | 4-6 | Comes up while you fish for something else |
| [Lunaris](https://palworld-db.com/pal/lunaris) | 100% | 2-3 | Guaranteed on every kill; Lv. 35 alpha on the map |

The Snowfields field drops at 26.5% for 2 to 7 fragments are the best passive trickle in the game for this material, so if you are already sweeping that region for something else you will finish the 100 without trying. [Lunaris](https://palworld-db.com/pal/lunaris) is worth a mention as a two-for-one: it hands over 2-3 Paldium and 4-6 Ancient Civilization Parts on the same kill, which covers two of the three materials in one fight.

### How to Get Ancient Civilization Parts

This is the shortest farm on the page. Every Alpha Pal in the game drops Ancient Civilization Parts on a guaranteed 100% roll, and the amount scales with how tough the alpha is — the endgame ones hand over 7 to 9 a kill. You need 10. That is two kills of almost anything, or one kill and a bit. The only real question is which alpha is cheapest for you right now, and there is a clear winner that most players walk straight past.

| Alpha | Level | Parts per kill | Why bring it up |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Foxcicle](https://palworld-db.com/pal/foxcicle) | 15 | 6-8 | The outlier — endgame-tier payout off a level 15 alpha. Two kills and you are done |
| [Mammorest](https://palworld-db.com/pal/mammorest) | 38 | 5-6 | Level-appropriate and slow-moving; easy solo fight at 41 |
| [Azurobe](https://palworld-db.com/pal/azurobe) | 40 | 5-6 | Right at your level if you unlock this the moment it appears |
| [Suzaku](https://palworld-db.com/pal/suzaku) | 45 | 5-7 | A small step up in level for a slightly better roll |
| [Lunaris](https://palworld-db.com/pal/lunaris) | 35 | 4-6 | Also drops the Paldium Fragment you need |
| [Jetragon](https://palworld-db.com/pal/jetragon) | 70 | 7-9 | Top-end payout, but you are not fighting this at level 41 |

[Foxcicle](https://palworld-db.com/pal/foxcicle) is the answer and it is not close. A level 15 alpha that pays 6 to 8 parts is dropping as much as bosses four times its level, so a character at 41 can delete it in seconds and walk away with most of the recipe. Kill it twice and the Ancient Civilization Parts line is closed. Everything else on the table is a convenience pick for whichever alpha happens to be on your route — check the [full Alpha Pal list](https://palworld-db.com/alpha-pals) or the [Foxcicle location on the map](https://palworld-db.com/map?pal=IceFox) to plan the trip.

## Guild Chest vs Every Other Chest

Read this table the right way round: the Guild Chest is not competing on these numbers and loses badly if you make it. It has the same 4,000 HP and 6 Defense as the free Wooden Chest, so a base raid will chew through it as fast as anything, and it takes 120,000 build work — 2.4 times the Advanced Chest — to put up. What it has instead is the one column no other chest can fill. The correct build is not Guild Chest *or* the others, it is the [Advanced Chest](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-get-advanced-chest) line for bulk storage plus one Guild Chest per base as the transfer window between them.

| Chest | Tech level | HP | Defense | Build work | Shared across bases |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| | Lv. 2 | 4,000 | 6 | 1,000 | No |
| | Lv. 13 | 6,000 | 9 | 8,000 | No |
| | Lv. 39 | 8,000 | 12 | 50,000 | No |
| | Lv. 41 (Ancient) | 4,000 | 6 | 120,000 | **Yes** |
| | Lv. 59 | 15,000 | 15 | 50,000 | No |

The other comparison worth making is to [Dimensional Pal Storage](https://palworld-db.com/guides/how-to-get-dimensional-pal-storage), the level 20 ancient tech that does the same trick for Pals instead of items. Between the two you can move your whole operation between bases without carrying anything, and both are among the small handful of ancient nodes that change how you play rather than what you wear. If you can only afford one right now, take the Pal storage first — it is 2 points instead of 4.

> **Tip.** Build the Guild Chest at your **least visited** base first, not your main one. The value is in the base you hate walking back to — the far-flung mining or coal outpost you only visit to empty. Once the chest is there, you never go back except to fight raids.

## Where to Place Your Guild Chests

One per base, four bases, so all four placements matter. Put it next to the Palbox at each base — that is where you land when you fast travel in, and it means a deposit run is two steps rather than a walk across the plot. Keep it inside walls if you can: it shares the Wooden Chest's 4,000 HP, so it is one of the softer things in your base, and losing it during a raid means losing access to the shared pool until you rebuild it.

The one placement mistake to avoid is putting it where your [Transporting Pals](https://palworld-db.com/best-pals) will auto-stock it. Hauling Pals fill the nearest valid container, and you generally do not want a worker dumping 300 Wood into the pool that all four of your bases are reading from. Park it away from your production lines, or keep the ordinary chests closer so they win the proximity check. If you are still laying out the network, [the best base locations](https://palworld-db.com/guides/best-base-locations) list covers which four spots are actually worth the four slots.
