- (use) The two effects are worth exact numbers: 35% less Grass damage taken, and +20% Fire damage. The Fire half is tagged to your deployed Pal, so it does nothing while you are running around with no Pal out — the Grass resistance is the only part that works solo.
- (use) Both halves sit at rank 4 of their effect ladders, one step above the rank-3 versions (30% Grass resistance, +18% Fire). When you are picking a ring for a Grass-heavy fight, the resistance is the bigger number of the two; treat the Fire bonus as a rider, not the reason to equip it.
- (use) You cannot unlock this from the technology tree. The recipe stays locked until you pick up the [[item:Blueprint_Accessory_Otomo_Fire_1]], and only then can you queue it at a production line or workbench.
- (location) The schematic is a chest drop, and the odds are wildly uneven by source. A large oil rig loot slot rolls it at roughly 1 in 100, while the sky island grade-5 treasure pools sit near 1 in 700 to 1 in 800. Farm the oil rig; the sky islands are not worth a dedicated trip for this.
- (location) There is also a fixed sky-island pickup that hands over the schematic plus 45 [[item:DogCoin]] — a one-time grab, so if you have already looted it that route is spent.
- (trivia) Every partner ring schematic is weighted identically inside each chest pool, so no element is rarer than another. The [[item:Blueprint_Accessory_Otomo_Fire_2]] for the [[item:Accessory_Otomo_Fire_2]] shares the same slots at the same rate — expect a spread of ring schematics from rig farming, not the specific one you want.
