## Notes we already publish

- (use) No kitchen needed — a bare Campfire, the first cooker on the tech tree, already takes this recipe, so it is the meal you can make on your first night out. The Cooking Pot, Electric Kitchen, Large-Scale Stone Oven and Ancient Kitchen accept the same single ingredient and only shorten the wait.
- (use) The cook is 500 work — the cheapest in the food list, roughly a third of what grilling a fish like [[item:BakedMeat_Kelpie]] costs and about one-sixtieth of a full dish. One low-level Kindling Pal clears an entire hunt's worth of meat in the time a real recipe needs for one serving.
- (strategy) Fire alone turns 36 nutrition into 50 and 100 gold into 120, so there is never a reason to eat [[item:Meat_ChickenPal]] raw when a campfire is lit. Buying the raw meat off a merchant to grill and resell is not a business, though — the 100 gold it costs at the Village, Caravan and Dungeon shops leaves 20 gold a skewer.
- (strategy) Two Berries are what separates this from [[item:ChickenSaute]] — 92 nutrition and 12 SAN against 50 and 1, for the same one piece of poultry. The moment a berry plantation and a Cooking Pot are running, grilling is a waste of meat; save it, and save some for [[item:FriedChicken]] at 108 nutrition once Flour, an Egg and Pal Oil are coming in.
- (use) Supply is one skewer per bird: [[pal:ChickenPal]] drops exactly 1 Chikipi Poultry, always, whether you catch it or kill it, and nothing else on the island produces the meat. A pen of caught Chikipi and a Butcher's Cleaver is therefore the steady supply line; hunting wild ones only pays while you are already out there.
