- (location) A Yakushima treasure box is worth opening even when it misses. It rolls three separate compartments and all three pay out every single time: the schematic rides in the first, the second is always 4 to 10 Hallowed Bar, and the third is always supplies — Coarse Ammo 5 to 10 or a Giga Sphere at 35% each, a Training Manual (L) at 19%, a Training Manual (XL) at 11%. Nothing here is a dry pull, so a mask hunt bankrolls itself in metal and spheres while it runs.
- (location) Only that first compartment can hand over the schematic, and it is busy. Thirty schematic entries — six equipment lines across five tiers each — take about 53% of it between them, and the Hallowed Mask's own ladder is 7.07% for the plain copy, 1.41% for tier 1, 0.28% for tier 2, 0.057% for tier 3 and 0.011% for the legendary. That means some tier of the mask roughly once in every 11 chests and the legendary once in about 8,800. The rest of the compartment is a Medium Pal Soul or two at 17.7% — the single most likely thing a chest gives you — then 2,000 to 2,500 Gold at 10.6%, a Hyper Sphere at 8.8%, and a Silver Key at 7.1%, exactly the odds of the plain schematic itself.
- (location) Those odds belong to the ordinary boxes scattered across the island and to the plain chests inside its cavern, which draw from one shared table. The cavern's special chest is a different table entirely: it guarantees a Celestial Sigil Schematic and 20 to 40 Hallowed Bar in one go, but its schematic compartment holds weapons only and no head gear at any rarity. It will never move this ladder forward, so count only the small chests when you plan a route.
- (use) Hallowed Power: Close Range backs four blades — Meowmere, Excalibur, Terra Blade and Legendary Meowmere — and two of them need no schematic at all. Meowmere is built from 22 Ingot, 22 Paldium Fragment and 22 Coal, and Legendary Meowmere simply swaps the ingot for 22 Hallowed Bar, roughly three chests' worth of the guaranteed metal compartment. Whatever the chests refuse to give you, the mask already has a weapon to boost the moment you can build it.
- (use) Excalibur's schematic sits in the same compartment on identical weights, tier for tier, all the way from 7.07% down to 0.011%, and the sword costs 30 Hallowed Bar. Farming the mask is therefore farming the sword at the same rate, and the two finish together. Terra Blade is the outlier: its schematic comes from the cavern's special chest, in a compartment that fires half the time and pays 8.5% for the plain copy — about 4.3% per chest, better than anything the small boxes offer for any of this gear. Expect the blade long before the mask that boosts it.
- (strategy) Craft whichever copy lands first and stop worrying about the tier. All five masks carry the same Hallowed Power: Close Range, so the climb from common to legendary buys 140 to 182 defence, 320 to 416 HP and 4,500 to 13,500 durability, and nothing else — the only practical difference for a melee build is how many fights pass between repairs. The plain mask costs 20 Hallowed Bar, about three chests of the guaranteed metal, which makes it effectively free the moment the schematic drops. Higher tiers arrive by combining five copies into one at the Production Assembly Line for 1,000 work, so keep every duplicate the chests throw at you.
