## Notes we already publish

- (location) The five tiers are not equally likely, and the gap between them is exact: each step up the ladder is weighted at one fifth of the step below. Out of the chest slot they share, the plain copy takes about 7.1%, tier 1 about 1.4%, tier 2 about 0.28%, tier 3 about 0.057%, and the legendary tier about 0.011%. That works out to a plain copy roughly every 14 chests, and a legendary somewhere past 8,800 of them. Some tier of the Headgear line lands about once every 11 chests, which is the number worth planning around.
- (location) That slot is crowded with siblings carrying identical weights — the Hallowed Mask, Helmet and Hood schematics, the Hallowed Plate one, and Excalibur's, the only weapon schematic sharing the pool. Between them they account for a little over half of everything the slot rolls, which is why chest runs feel generous while a hunt for one specific tier does not. A second slot in the same chest has exactly one entry, 4 to 10 Hallowed Bar, so a chest that hands you the wrong schematic is still paying for the metal the helmet will need.
- (location) The other Yakushima chest table is a dead end for this. It is the one paying 20 to 40 Hallowed Bar at a time along with the Celestial Sigil Schematic, and its schematic slot holds weapons only — Nightglow, Vortex Beater, Terraprisma and Terra Blade — with no head gear at any tier. Those chests will never produce this schematic, so treat the two runs as separate errands rather than one sweep.
- (strategy) The one-fifth weighting and the five-into-one combine recipe cancel out exactly: a legendary costs 625 plain copies at the bench, and either route averages out to roughly the same 8,800 chests. The difference is that you collect the low tiers whether you want them or not, so combining upward is strictly the better plan — hoping for the direct legendary roll gets you nothing the growing pile would not have given you anyway. Schematics weigh nothing and stack to 9,999, so a duplicate is never worth selling or dropping.
- (use) Combining copies happens at the Production Assembly Line, which the Technology tree opens at level 29 and which needs 200 power once it is wired in. A combine is 1,000 work against the 40,000 the helmet itself takes, so the bench is never what holds you up — finding copies is.
- (use) Chase the family that matches the weapon you already carry. This one grants Hallowed Power: Magic, which feeds Nightglow. The Mask covers the melee blades — Meowmere, Excalibur, Terra Blade and Legendary Meowmere — the Helmet backs Vortex Beater, and the Hood backs Terraprisma. At any given rarity the four cost the same Hallowed Bar and only one can occupy the head slot, so climbing a second family's ladder buys nothing until you switch weapons.
