## Notes we already publish

- (location) The 7.1% on this page is only the bottom rung. Four rarer schematics share the same chest slot, each weighted at a fifth of the one under it: 1.41% for Hood Schematic 1, 0.283% for 2, 0.057% for 3 and 0.011% for the legendary — call it one chest in 8,800 for a direct legendary roll. Add the whole ladder together and about 8.8% of Yakushima treasure chests, roughly one in 11, hand over a Hood schematic of some tier. Plan a route around that 11, not around the 7.1%.
- (location) Every one of those chests also pays a guaranteed 4 to 10 Hallowed Bar from a separate slot, and the Hood itself costs 20 bar at common, then 30, 60, 120 and 240 climbing to legendary. Even the top of the ladder is about 34 chests' worth of metal against thousands spent finding the schematic, so never farm bars for this on purpose — the pile is always deeper than the recipe you can unlock.
- (use) The Hood carries Hallowed Power: Summon, a flat 20% damage bonus that applies while a Yakushima summon weapon is equipped, and exactly one weapon qualifies: Terraprisma. The bonus is written identically on all five rarities, so the first Hood you build already gives the full 20%. Rarity buys survivability instead — 140 to 182 defence, 320 to 416 HP, and 4,500 to 13,500 durability across the climb. Its three sibling families cover the other weapon classes and only one thing fits the head slot, so a summoner gains nothing from chasing them.
- (strategy) The weapon this hat exists for is vastly easier to max than the hat. Terraprisma's schematics come from the island's other chest table — the rich cavern chest — and its ladder is nearly flat rather than fifths: about 4.25% per chest for the plain copy, then 3.0%, 2.25%, 1.75% and 1.25% for the legendary. That is a legendary Terraprisma roughly every 80 of those chests against roughly every 8,800 for a legendary Hood. Expect to run a fully upgraded weapon under a common or tier 1 Hood for a very long time, which is fine, because the 20% does not care.
- (strategy) Build the weapon first for a second reason: it eats far more metal than the head slot ever will. A legendary Terraprisma wants 480 Hallowed Bar, 240 Pal Metal Ingot and 15 Ancient Civilization Parts, and the cavern chests that carry its schematic drop 20 to 40 bar each, so the ingots arrive with the recipe. The Hood's 240 is an afterthought next to that. Combining is the realistic path upward for the head slot — five copies of any tier become one of the next at the Production Assembly Line for 1,000 work, against 40,000 to forge the Hood itself — so hold every duplicate the chests give you rather than selling it at 10,000 Gold.
