## Notes we already publish

- (use) The recipe sits at Technology level 60 and costs 4 points, which puts it 13 levels past Vegetable Cake ([[item:Cake03]]) and makes it the second-latest cake in the tree after Special Cake ([[item:Cake05]], level 74). Nothing else gates it — there is no schematic to hunt down, so the moment the tech point is spent the recipe is yours permanently.
- (breeding) The Breeding Farm chest takes one cake per egg regardless of which cake you load, so the choice between tiers is purely about what you want out of the pairing. Vegetable Cake doubles the egg count from a single hatch; this one instead raises the mutation chance and speeds talent growth. That makes them complementary rather than ranked: run Vegetable Cake while you are bulk-producing eggs to sift passives, and switch to this one only for the pairs you actually want a mutated or high-talent result from, since the ingredient cost per egg is far higher.
- (strategy) This is the one cake a base can supply on its own. Every other tier needs Eggs and either Honey or Milk, which means a ranch stocked with laying Pals and a beekeeping loop; this recipe wants only Flour, Potato, Onion, Carrot and Cotton Candy. Four of those come straight off plantations you can already build long before level 60 — Wheat at 15, Potato at 29, Carrot at 32, Onion at 36 — and the fifth drops from Woolipop ([[pal:SweetsSheep]]) parked on a Ranch. Build all four plots plus a Mill and a Woolipop ranch and the cake becomes a standing production line rather than a shopping trip.
- (strategy) Budget for the cook time. A single one of these carries two and a half times the crafting work of a plain Cake or Mushroom Cake and about 1.7x that of Vegetable Cake — only Special Cake is slower. One mediocre Kindling Pal will tie up the kitchen for a long stretch per cake, so this is the recipe that justifies putting your best Kindling workers on food duty and queueing a batch well ahead of the breeding run rather than cooking to order.
