# High Quality Cloth

A great deal of Wool goes into weaving one bolt, and high quality armor cannot be made without it. The High-Quality Workbench handles the crafting.

## Notes we already publish

- (use) The recipe sits at Technology level 36 and costs 2 tech points to learn. Nothing below that level can weave it, so the first bolts most players hold come from a ranch or from a knocked-out [[pal:WhiteMoth]] rather than a bench.
- (strategy) The ranch route opens 31 levels earlier than the craft: the Ranch itself unlocks at level 5 for 2 tech points and 30 Wood, 30 Fiber and 20 Stone, and a [[pal:WhiteMoth]] dropped on it produces finished cloth with no [[item:Wool]] spent. Park one there the moment you catch it — by the time the level 36 recipe arrives you will already have a stock, and the bench only becomes worth using when you need a burst larger than the ranch trickles out.
- (use) Armour is only half of the demand. Build-menu and saddle recipes pull from the same stack and never show up in a crafting list: Large Pal Bed wants 5 at level 36, Pal Surgery Table and Large Incubator want 20 each at level 48, [[item:Spear_ForestBoss]] wants 20, and each guild flag set wants 40. Budget for those before you spend a run's worth on armour.
- (use) Flying and riding mounts are the heaviest single sink. [[item:SkillUnlock_Horus]] is a cheap 10, but the late saddles climb hard — 24 for Aegidron, Dualith Noct and Moldron Cryst, 32 for Shaolong, 36 for Eidrolon Ignis and 48 for [[item:SkillUnlock_LegendDeer]], the largest single order in the game for this material. A pair of ranch Sibelyx will not cover a 48-cloth saddle in one sitting; farm ahead.
