## Notes we already publish

- (location) Winning a base raid in the third tier hands over 10 to 20 of them on a guaranteed roll, and that reward is identical for every faction and every region: Syndicate Raiders in the Grasslands and the Desert, Free Pal Alliance Extremists in the Forest, Eternal Pyre Doomsayers on Mount Obsidian, the Genetic Research Unit's Disposal Squad in the Snowfields, Moonflower Raiders on Sakurajima, Feybreak Bandits on Yamishima, the Crescendo trial in the Sky City, and the Herd of Violent Wild Pals that attacks in any of them. That tier arrives while a base sits in the level 21 to 40 band, which is the same stretch the Technology unlock at 22 covers, so a fishing habit through the mid game can run entirely on raids you were going to fight anyway. The human waves come in at level 32 and arrive in three of them, so the loot is not free — but the same fight also pays 40 to 70 Dog Coins and 10 to 20 Training Manuals (L) at 100%. From level 41 the waves switch to Deluxe Bait instead.
- (use) The upgrade is one number: the rate at which a shadow notices your cast is multiplied by 1.5. Everything else is left exactly where Simple Bait has it — the hit bar is the same width, the gauge drains at the same speed on a miss and fills at the same speed on a success, and there is no bonus to the items or Pal drops a catch returns. So it shortens the wait between bites and does nothing at all for the minigame itself. If catches are being lost after the bite rather than before it, this is the wrong fix; Beginner Bait is the one that softens a miss, cutting the drain to 0.68 of normal.
- (strategy) Sweet Bait carries the identical 1.5 lure multiplier and nothing else, but it is a one-per-craft recipe that eats 4 Aquatic Pal Fluids, while this makes ten from three — about thirteen times less fluid for the same effect on a cast, which is the real reason to spend the point at Technology 22. The one bait that beats it outright is Quick Bait, the same 1.5 with a 25% wider hit bar on top, and that is also one per craft at 6 fluid and 5 Tomato, so it is what you keep for a boss-size shadow rather than what you burn through a session. Buying is the worst of the three routes at 240 Gold each, since a single craft yields ten for 3 Aquatic Pal Fluids, 4 Tomato and 3 Flour.
