## Notes we already publish

- (use) The buff the description is vague about is worth exact numbers: eating one gives +30% work speed and 25% resistance to SAN drain, both running for 600 seconds. That is a flat ten minutes per plate, so a stack of nine covers an hour and a half of hauling or crafting.
- (strategy) For work speed alone this is an expensive way to buy +30%. [[item:ChickenSaute]] hands you the identical +30% for the same 600 seconds off 1 [[item:Meat_ChickenPal]] and 2 Berries, and cooks in 7,000 work against Fried Chikipi's 32,000. What the extra [[item:Flour]], [[item:Egg]] and [[item:PalOil]] actually buy is the 25% SAN resist and the larger food and sanity restore — cook the Sauté when you just want the speed, cook this when the crew's morale is the problem.
- (strategy) +30% is not the ceiling either. [[item:Hamburger_2]] and [[item:Chowder]] both roll +50% work speed for the same 600 seconds and the same 32,000 work, and the burger carries the same 25% SAN resist on top. If your base already farms Lettuce, Fried Chikipi is strictly the weaker plate for the same cooking time.
- (use) On the SAN side, 25% is the middle tier. [[item:Quiche]] and [[item:SpringRolls]] both reach 50% resistance, so a base that is bleeding sanity faster than food is better served cooking one of those and keeping Fried Chikipi for the double duty.
- (use) At 32,000 work the craft is roughly four and a half times a Chikipi Sauté. Queue it in bulk with Kindling Pals assigned rather than cooking plates one at a time between expeditions.
