## Notes we already publish

- (use) The "period of time" in the description is 600 seconds — a flat 10 minutes of +10% Defense, with no tick-down and no scaling by how hungry you were. Eat it at the tower door or on the way into a dungeon, not back at base, or a third of the timer is gone before anything hits you.
- (use) A Campfire cannot cook this. The earliest station that takes the recipe is the Cooking Pot, which sits at technology level 17 for 2 points and costs Ingot x15, Wooden Board x5 and Flame Organ x3 to build. Every later kitchen — Electric Kitchen at 41, Large-Scale Stone Oven at 49, Ancient Kitchen at 70 — makes it too, so there is no reason to unlock past the pot for this dish alone.
- (strategy) One [[item:Mushroom]] plus two [[item:Berries]] eaten raw come to 43 food and no sanity. Cooked they become 60 food and 7 sanity, so the pot roughly doubles the value of the cheapest forage loop in the game while adding the Defense buff on top.
- (strategy) The craft is 5,000 work per portion, ten times what [[item:BakedMushroom]] asks for the same mushroom. Batch it — queue a stack in the pot with a Kindling Pal assigned and collect later, rather than cooking singles between fights.
