- (location) Galeclaw is not nocturnal and its spawn table is identical by day and by night, so a farming route works at any hour. The densest ground is Cinnamoth Forest and Hypocrite Hill, with a third cluster around the Sealed Realm of the Myriad Flames; between them they hold roughly half of every Galeclaw spawn point on the map.
- (drops) One Galeclaw is one piece of meat, guaranteed, whether you knock it out or throw a sphere at it. There is no bonus roll and no rarer variant of the drop, so stocking up is purely a question of how many Galeclaw you clear per lap.
- (use) Eaten raw it is worth 36 nutrition and no sanity, which makes it the weakest thing you can do with it. One piece and nothing else becomes Grilled Galeclaw at 50 nutrition; adding 2 Red Berries makes Stewed Galeclaw at 92 nutrition and 12 sanity, the best value per piece early on. Galeclaw Nikujaga is the ceiling at 150 nutrition, 19 sanity and a Defense buff, but it needs Onion, Carrot and Potato plus a Large-Scale Stone Oven, so the stew carries you until then.
