- (use) Its spoilage rate is 0.083 per unit of decay time, exactly half the 0.167 every other raw Pal meat carries — Lamball Mutton, Rushoar Pork, [[item:Meat_Deer]] and the rest all share that faster figure. It is the only raw meat in the game with the slower rate, so a chest of venison outlasts a chest of any other cut by double, and it holds up as well raw as most Pals' cooked roasts do.
- (use) Cooking slows the clock further: [[item:BakedMeat_IceDeer]] drops to 0.056 and [[item:StewedIceDeer]] to 0.048, the slowest-spoiling cooked meat dish in the game.
