- (use) The vague "stay full longer" line has a number behind it: hunger resistance +25% for 600 seconds. Ten minutes of eating one quarter less often, on top of the 52 nutrition the bowl itself puts back — so drink it at the start of a long trip, not when the bar is already empty.
- (use) The Cooking Pot at Technology 17 is the earliest station that will take this recipe; a campfire will not. After that the Electric Kitchen, Large-Scale Stone Oven and Ancient Kitchen all cook it, and those three are worker-only, so a Kindling Pal has to be on the station for anything to come out.
- (strategy) The cook is 10,000 work — twenty times a [[item:BakedMushroom]] and double [[item:MarinatedMushrooms]]. This is a queue-it-and-walk-away dish, so batch a stack of bowls onto a high-Kindling worker rather than standing at the pot waiting for one.
- (strategy) Both ingredients renew themselves at base. [[item:Milk]] comes only from [[pal:CowPal]] on a Ranch, and two are needed per bowl, so keep at least a pair of them penned. [[item:Mushroom]] is picked off the ground island-wide and also drops from [[pal:MushroomLady]] (2-3), [[pal:PinkLizard]] (2-4) and [[pal:MushroomDragon]] (1-2) — the mushroom half is never the bottleneck, the milk is.
- (trivia) [[item:PoisonMushroom]] runs the exact same buff in reverse: hunger resistance -25%, for 60 seconds instead of 600. Same stat, opposite sign, one tenth the duration.
