## Basics

- Type: Accessory
- Gold value: 47280
- Weight: 2
- Max stack: 1

## Recipe

- Refined Ingot x20
- Leather x30
- High Quality Pal Oil x30
- Ancient Civilization Parts x10

## Notes we already publish

- (use) Both lines are rank 4 and both resolve to +20%: +20% Defense on your active Pal, and +20% Dragon damage on your active Pal. They are flagged always-on, so there is nothing to trigger and no uptime to manage — the moment the accessory is slotted the partner out with you has them. Neither line touches your own weapons, and with no Pal deployed the slot does nothing at all.
- (location) The recipe does not appear on the bench until you own [[item:Blueprint_Otomo_DFDragon_ElementBoost_1]], and the schematic is chest loot only — no shop, no Pal drop. It rolls from three grade-5 pools: treasure chests in the Sunreach Skies caverns at 2.38%, other Sunreach Isle chests at 0.19%, and crates on the large oil rig at 0.98%. Budget for a long run at those rates; the cavern chests are roughly twelve times better per open than the ordinary island chests.
- (strategy) That same grade-5 pool also carries the schematics for [[item:Otomo_ATDragon_ElementBoost_1]] and [[item:Accessory_Otomo_Dargon_1]] at identical odds, so one Sunreach farming trip is rolling for all three Dragon accessories at once. Decide which you actually want before you spend the mats — all three sit at the +20% ceiling for partner Dragon damage, and the only real difference is the second line: Defense here, +16% partner Attack on the baton, Dark resistance for the player on the ring.
- (strategy) Check what the +20% is really buying you. [[item:Otomo_ElementBoost_Dragon_1]] is rank 3 of the same ladder at +18%, costs 2 Ancient Civilization Parts instead of 10, and takes a fifth of the crafting work. Two percentage points is the entire Dragon-damage gap, so the talisman's actual upgrade is the +20% partner Defense — worth it for a Dragon mount you ride into fights and take hits on, close to wasted on a glass-cannon partner you keep behind you.
