## Notes we already publish

- (use) Both equip lines are the level 4 tier and both are worth exactly 20%: 20% Defense and 20% Ground damage. Neither number touches your own character — the effect target on both is the Pal fighting beside you, so wearing this while your partner sits in the sphere does nothing at all. The cheap [[item:Otomo_ElementBoost_Earth_1]] already carries the level 3 Ground line at 18%, so the damage half of this talisman buys two percentage points over a whistle you can build far earlier. The 20% Defense line is the part you are actually paying 20 Refined Ingot and 10 Ancient Civilization Parts for.
- (strategy) Three accessories give a partner the same top-tier 20% Ground boost, and they differ only in the second line. [[item:Otomo_ATEarth_ElementBoost_1]] pairs it with a 16% partner attack buff, and [[item:Accessory_Otomo_Earth_1]] pairs it with 35% Electric damage reduction that applies to you rather than to the Pal. So the talisman is the pick when the partner is the thing dying — against alpha bosses and raid Pals that focus your mount — and the baton is the pick when it is surviving fine and you want the fight shorter. Note the asymmetry: the defensive line is 20% while the baton's offensive line is only 16%, so the talisman is the larger single buff of the two.
- (location) The recipe stays hidden at the bench until [[item:Blueprint_Otomo_DFEarth_ElementBoost_1]] is sitting in your inventory, and holding it is the whole requirement — the schematic is not consumed, so a second copy is only merchant fodder. The rolls that carry it are thin: 2.381% from a treasure chest in Sunreach Isle, 0.191% from an ordinary chest there, and 0.98% from a crate on the large oil rig. Once you have it, the recipe is not locked to one bench — the Production Assembly Line, Production Assembly Line II, the Advanced Workshop and the Ancient Workbench all accept it, so there is no reason to keep an older workshop standing for this craft.
