## Notes we already publish

- (location) Nothing in the tech tree unlocks this recipe. The talisman is schematic-gated: Frostallion's Talisman Schematic has to be sitting in your bag before the entry appears at the bench, and the schematic is loot. Our tables give it three pools, all clustered on Sunreach Isle — 2.381% from a treasure chest in the Sunreach Skies caverns, 0.98% from a crate on the large oil rig, 0.191% from an ordinary isle chest. Read as a farming plan that is about 42 treasure chests, 102 oil-rig crates, or 524 ordinary chests for an average copy, so the cavern treasure route is the only one worth building a loop around and the ordinary chests are noise you pick up on the way. Hack terminals are the exception to all of that arithmetic: an ancient-ruin puzzle panel pays a reward fixed to that terminal instead of rolling a pool, so an unsolved terminal is a guaranteed roll of the dice you have not spent yet — clear those first. Holding the schematic unlocks the recipe rather than spending it, and there is no +1 or +2 grade of this talisman to fuse toward, so one copy is permanent and any duplicate is merchant gold.
- (use) Both halves ride on the Pal out in the field with you, not on your own gear slots and not on anything working back at base. The defense half is element-blind and pays out on whatever you send in; the ice half only fires on Ice attacks, so on a non-Ice partner you are wearing half an accessory. That makes the pairing narrow but strong — an Ice attacker that already leans on its ice moveset gets a Lv. 4 damage step and a Lv. 4 defense step off one item, which is exactly the trade you want on a partner you keep out through long fights rather than swapping every encounter.
- (use) Ice Organ x15 sounds like the bottleneck and mostly is not, because the Pal the talisman is named after is also the best source of it: Frostallion hands over a guaranteed 10 per kill, so two runs cover the whole recipe with change left. Failing that, the crystal variants pay well for a field loop — Kingpaca Cryst at a guaranteed 3-6, Moldron Cryst and Pierdon Cryst at 4-5, Bastigor at 2-5, all at 100%. Do the organ farming while you are still hunting the schematic rather than after it drops; the schematic roll is the long pole here, not the materials.
