## Notes we already publish

- (use) The warning about eating it raw is real but small, and the game's food-effect table puts a number on it: chewing one down applies a 25-point hunger-resistance penalty that runs for 60 seconds and then expires. That is one minute of draining faster than normal, not a lasting condition, and it comes alongside the 3 sanity and 1 food the item restores. Cooked mushroom dishes swing the same stat the other way and hold it far longer — Mushroom Soup is +25 hunger resistance for 600 seconds — so the raw bite is best understood as an emergency sanity top-up in the field, not as food you plan around.
- (location) There is no gathering node for it anywhere on Palpagos, so every mushroom you own came off a Pal or a caravan counter, and only one of the three droppers is worth a route. Shroomer Noct has 188 known spawn spots and hands over 1-2 every single kill; roughly 30% of those spots sit around Silent Lake, another 22% in the Sakurajima Mushroom Wetlands, and 15% along the Azure Cliffs. It travels in groups of up to three and is aggressive, so a pass through any of those pockets brings the fight to you rather than the other way round. Mycora is the second-best option at 42 spots but only pays out half the time. Dualith Noct has the fattest drop in the game for this item at 3-5 guaranteed, and exactly three known spawn spots — treat it as a bonus when you happen across one, never as a farm.
- (use) Three recipes want it and they want it in bulk: 20 for Mysterious Mushroom Juice, 20 for the Shroomer Noct Saddle, 10 for a Growth Acceleration Bell — 50 in total if you intend to build all three. At 1-2 per Shroomer Noct that is somewhere near 35 kills, or about a dozen group encounters. Note what that means for the saddle in particular: the Pal you need the saddle for is the same Pal that drops the material, so the mushrooms arrive while you are catching it. If you would rather skip the hunt entirely, the Caravan Shop stocks it at 800 gold, which prices a full saddle's worth at 16,000 and the whole 50-mushroom bill at 40,000.
