## Notes we already publish

- (use) Read the name carefully before you stock up: Rifle Ammo feeds exactly one weapon family, the Single-Shot Rifle, across all five of its rarities. The Semi-Auto Rifle is a different gun on a different feed — it burns Assault Rifle Ammo ([[item:AssaultRifleBullet]]), as does the Assault Rifle itself. Turning up to a boss with 300 Rifle Ammo and a Semi-Auto Rifle equipped leaves you holding an empty gun.
- (strategy) The Single-Shot Rifle chambers a single round, so a magazine is one shot and every shot is followed by a reload. That makes Rifle Ammo count differently from every other ammo type: a 10-round craft is ten aimed shots, and your rate of fire is capped by the reload animation, not by how much you brought. Plan around opening damage rather than sustained fire — hit an unaware target, then swap. Weight is not the limit either, at 0.025 per round: 400 rounds cost you 10 units of carry, so a hunting kit can hold far more than the gun can realistically spend in one outing.
