## Notes we already publish

- (use) "Nudges EXP gain up for a time" is doing a lot of hiding. The buff is +20% experience and it runs 1,800 seconds — a flat half hour of real time from one serving, with no condition attached to it beyond eating the dish.
- (strategy) Nothing else in the cookbook comes close. Only three other dishes carry an EXP line at all, and every one of them is +10%: Fried Gloopie Balls ([[item:OctopusGirl_Takoyaki]]) matches the 30-minute window at half the rate, while Jelliette's Jiggly Jelly ([[item:JellyfishFairy_jelly]]) and Jellroy's Jolly Jelly ([[item:JellyfishGhost_jelly]]) run 600 seconds — ten minutes — at that same halved rate. Per serving this salad is worth two Takoyaki or six jellies, which makes it the one food worth stockpiling before a levelling session, a tower run or a long stretch of catching.
- (strategy) The buff is on a clock, not on your hunger bar, so the plate you eat at full stomach is wasted timer. Eat it as you step out of the base, not while you are still sorting your chest — and since the dish also refills 95 hunger, one serving at the start of a run generally covers both the buff window and the food you would have eaten during it anyway.
- (use) Nothing before the mid-40s can cook it. The Cooking Pot you unlocked at level 17 does not take this recipe; the first station that does is the Electric Kitchen at technology level 41, which costs 3 points plus Refined Ingot x30, Charcoal x20, Circuit Board x5 and Flame Organ x5 — and, being electric, it needs a Power Generator wired up before it will run at all. The Large-Scale Stone Oven (level 49) and the Ancient Kitchen (level 70) cook it too, and neither needs power.
- (use) If you cannot cook it yet, you can still buy it. A Caravan Shop stocks the finished salad at 1,100 Gold, which is the only way to hold the strongest EXP buff in the game before level 41 — and it sidesteps the harder half of the recipe, since Gloopie Tentacle ([[item:Meat_OctopusGirl]]) is a hunted drop rather than something you can farm on a plot the way Lettuce ([[item:Lettuce]]) is.
