## Notes we already publish

- (use) The schematic sits at Technology level 59 and costs 3 points, two levels past the plain [[item:SkillUnlock_AmaterasuWolf]] at 57. The material bill climbs with it: 30 Leather against 25, 30 Flame Organ against 15, 40 Paldium Fragment against 20, and High Quality Cloth in place of ordinary Cloth. Nothing in that gap buys you a faster ride — plan the two levels and the Flame Organ stock, not a speed upgrade.
- (use) Crafting this is what switches on Gloomhowl, [[pal:AmaterasuWolf_Dark]]'s partner skill: the gear is the gate, so an uncrafted saddle means the skill does nothing no matter how the Pal is levelled. The ladder runs by partner-skill rank — 15%, 17%, 20%, 24%, then 30% less Dark damage taken — and every rank carries full immunity to the Darkness status, not a partial resist that scales with the rest. The blind protection is there from rank 1, which makes an early copy worth partnering long before the resist number matters.
- (strategy) As a mount, Kitsun Noct is indistinguishable from [[pal:AmaterasuWolf]] — both run 700, sprint 1,100 and hold 140 stamina, sitting 48th and 49th of the 115 rideable Pals. The saddle you build is therefore a pure resistance choice, not a traversal one: this one for Dark zones and anything that blinds, the Fire version for Ice damage and Freeze. Building both costs 5 Technology points total and gives you two identical rides you swap for the element in front of you.
