- (use) What the item text calls "fights alongside you" is a free extra attacker, not a re-skinned follower. With the necklace equipped, [[pal:DreamDemon]] materialises next to you and throws Dark Ball at whatever you are fighting on its own initiative, and it does this while a completely different Pal is deployed — the necklace copy does not occupy the active slot. The summoned copy is scenery as far as the enemy is concerned: it cannot be targeted or hurt, so it never goes down mid-fight and never costs you a revive. The trade is that it is also not a real Pal while it is out — no petting, no feeding, no commanding it onto a target.
- (strategy) The effect is per-Pal, not per-player, so it stacks. Every Daedream in your party wearing a necklace spawns at once — fill all five party slots and five of them orbit you throwing Dark Ball, on top of whatever Pal you actually sent out. Each necklace is its own craft, so a full set costs 25 Leather, 50 Fiber and 50 Paldium Fragment, all of it stock early-game supply. Because the copies are unkillable and fire without input, this is the cheapest sustained damage available before firearms: it carries alpha fights, dungeon clears and open-world travel through the early and middle game while you do nothing but aim. Breeding or catching four spare Daedream is a smaller investment than most tier-appropriate weapons.
- (location) This one is not in the technology tree — there is no research entry for it and no technology point to spend. The gate is the Pal Gear Workbench (level 6, 2 points), which is where the necklace is assembled once you have a Daedream registered; craft one per Daedream you intend to field.
