## Notes we already publish

- (use) The recipe is a Technology tree unlock, not a schematic: 4 ordinary technology points at level 48. That is the expensive end of Pal gear — of the 124 saddles and harnesses on the tree only 9 ask for 5 points, so this sits in the top third by price, and the materials are the cheap part of it by level 48. Building it happens on the Pal Gear Workbench, which is technology 6 for 2 points and has no upgraded tier anywhere in the game, so the bench you unlocked in your first hours is the one that makes this. The order carries 40,000 work against a 30,000 median for Pal gear, meaning a third longer on the bench than the average saddle — assign your best Handiwork Pals before you queue it.
- (strategy) Do not spend the 4 points expecting a way to get around. Dualith moves at 800 ride sprint, which puts it in the slowest ten of the 77 ground mounts in the game, and 44 mounts that are faster hang off saddles you could already have unlocked at level 48 or below — Univolt runs 1100 off a technology 14 saddle, Pyrin 1300 off technology 29. What it does hold is fuel: 210 stamina against a ground-mount median of 150, so it sprints far longer than the top speed suggests. Treat it as something you ride around a base or across a mining site, not across the map.
- (use) Forest Laser is Grass damage coming off a Ground / Grass body, and Grass is strong into exactly two things: Ground and Water. That is what the saddle is for — a mounted shot that lands hard on the Water bosses and the Ground Pals your own Ground half is already resistant to, and one that does nothing special against a Fire target, which is also what beats Dualith. Pick the fight before you mount up. The Dark version of the same laser is a separate purchase: Dualith Noct fires Corruption Laser instead, its saddle sits at level 69 for another 4 points, and its recipe swaps to 12 Soralite Ingot and 20 Dark Fragment. The chassis underneath is identical, so there is nothing to wait for here.
- (strategy) None of Dualith's base value is behind this saddle. Its Mining 6 and Transporting 6 apply the moment you drop it in a base — only 13 Pals in the game reach Mining 6 and only 8 reach Transporting 6, and Dualith is on both lists — so a Dualith caught for the ore line needs no technology points at all. The 4 points buy the ride and the laser and nothing else, which makes this a combat purchase you can defer past level 48 without slowing your base down.
