## Notes we already publish

- (location) Nothing about this collar is found lying around — it is built, and only one of its four lines costs you anything real. The 40 Paldium Fragment looks like the bottleneck because it is the biggest number, but Paldium is the material every player already drowns in; what actually decides when you can build is the 10 Dark Fragment. Dazzi Noct itself drops exactly 1 on every kill, so the Pal the collar is for pays for its own gear in ten fights. Faster sources exist: Splatterina, Celesdir Noct, Solenne, Bellanoir and Bellanoir Libero each hand over 2 to 3 every time, and Kitsun Noct, Starryon and Omascul give 1 to 2. Omascul is the one worth remembering, because it is also the breeding partner that turns a Dazzi into a Dazzi Noct — one Pal supplies both the wearer and half the bill. Dark Fragment also turns up loose in the field on Feybreak and Sunreach Isle at roughly 15% a pickup, which is the route to take if you are already out there.
- (use) The collar exists for one skill, Lady of Dark Lightning, and that skill reads "while in party" rather than "while deployed" — Dazzi Noct materialises beside you and pelts whatever you are fighting with Dark bolts while some other Pal is the one you actually sent out. The follow-up is a multiplier rather than a flat number, and it climbs with the wearer's condense rank: ×1 at rank 1, then ×1.1, ×1.3, ×1.6 and ×2 at rank 5. In-game the tooltip only labels the upper rungs Follow-Up Boost S, M, L and XL, so the outright doubling at full condense is easy to miss. The collar is the same object whichever Dazzi Noct wears it, so put it on the most condensed one in your box rather than the first one out of the sphere.
- (catch) Those bolts cannot land a killing blow — they refuse to take a target below 1 HP. That makes this the rare piece of gear that is safe to run during a capture session: the follow-up will grind a wild Pal down toward the red for you and can never, by any accident, destroy the one you meant to sphere. The flip side is that it will never close a fight either, so the last hit is still your job.
- (strategy) Weigh it against Dazzi's Necklace before committing the materials, because the two collars run the identical follow-up on the identical ×1 to ×2 ladder — the only thing that changes is the bolt's element, Dark here against Electric on the original. What does change is the bill: 40,000 work against 20,000, so twice as long at the bench, twice the Paldium at 40 against 20, twice the Fiber at 30 against 15, and 10 Dark Fragment where the original asks for 10 Copper Ingot. Only Leather comes down, 10 against 15. You are paying roughly double for a damage type, which is worth it when you are hunting Neutral Pals and worth nothing at all against Dragons, who resist Dark outright. Keep both collars and pick by prey — the Noct version is a sidegrade, not an upgrade.
