## Notes we already publish

- (use) "Nudges work speed up" has a number behind it: the plate applies Work Speed +10% and Defense +10% at the same time, both running off a single 600-second timer — ten full minutes from one serving. Two buff lines on one dish is unusual for vegetable cooking; the plain Fried Vegetables it sits next to spends its whole effect slot on a single +10 Attack line for the same duration. Eating a second plate before the first expires refreshes the clock rather than stacking the percentages.
- (use) The earliest station that can make it is the Cooking Pot, 2 technology points at level 17, and the recipe carries forward unchanged to every kitchen above it — Electric Kitchen at level 41, Large-Scale Stone Oven at 49, Ancient Kitchen at 70. There is no separate unlock for the dish itself and no recipe item to find: build any one of those four and it is already on the menu. Cooking is Kindling work, so a Pal with the suitability parked at the station is what actually turns the 7,000 work units into food.
- (strategy) You can cook it fifteen levels before you can farm it. The Cooking Pot arrives at 17, but Carrot Plantation is a level 32 unlock and Onion Plantation is level 36, so for that whole stretch the only steady supply is the Caravan Shop, which sells both Onion ([[item:Onion]]) and Carrot ([[item:Carrot]]) at 100 Gold each. That puts 400 Gold of produce into a plate worth 480 — an 80 Gold margin before you count the cook's time, so this is a dish to eat, never one to mass-produce for money.
- (strategy) Seeds are the cheaper way in, and one Pal covers the whole recipe: Palumba ([[pal:TropicalOstrich]]) drops both Carrot Seeds and Onion Seeds at 100%. Carrot Seeds are also guaranteed from Mossanda ([[pal:GrassPanda]]), Dinossom Lux ([[pal:FlowerDinosaur_Electric]]) and Ribbuny Botan ([[pal:PinkRabbit_Grass]]) — and Ribbuny Botan drops finished Carrots too, so it feeds the pan directly before any plantation exists. Onion Seeds come guaranteed off Broncherry ([[pal:SakuraSaurus]]) and Broncherry Aqua ([[pal:SakuraSaurus_Water]]). If you would rather buy, the Caravan Shop lists Carrot Seeds at 60 Gold and Onion Seeds at 70.
- (strategy) Once both plots are up the maths is tidy. A Carrot Plantation returns 10 crops every 6.2 minutes and an Onion Plantation 10 every 6.5, and each plate takes 2 of each — so one plot of each, one harvest cycle apart, is exactly 5 servings. At ten minutes of buff per serving that is roughly 50 minutes of continuous Work Speed and Defense uptime per cycle pair, which is why this ends up the standard base-crew dish rather than a combat consumable: it feeds the build sessions it pays for.
