## Notes we already publish

- (use) Three seeds is the entire price of admission. The Wheat Plantation sits at technology level 15 for 2 points, and building one costs 15 Wood, 15 Stone and 3 Wheat Seeds — paid once, at construction. The plot then cycles on its own and never asks for seeds again, which is why there is no reason to hoard a stack of these. Each cycle runs 270 seconds of growth and pays out 10 [[item:Wheat]], with the seeding, watering and harvest stages each carrying 7,500 work, so a plot only runs unattended if the Pals you have stationed cover Planting, Watering and Gathering between them.
- (use) What the wheat is actually for sits two steps downstream. The Mill unlocks at the same technology level 15 and grinds 3 [[item:Wheat]] into 1 [[item:Flour]], so one plantation harvest of 10 clears 3 Flour with a remainder. [[item:Cake]] then wants 5 Flour — 15 Wheat, or roughly two full harvest cycles — alongside 8 Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs and 2 Honey. Since Cake is what the Breeding Farm consumes, a wheat plot is the first link in the breeding chain, and the 200,000 work on the Cake recipe means the flour is rarely the part you end up waiting on.
- (location) The hands-off supply the shop list misses is a Ranch. [[pal:VioletFairy]] rolls a seed pool of six types when stationed there, and Wheat Seeds carry 9 of the 45 total weight — 20% of every drop, second only to tomato at 22.2%, and ahead of potato, carrot, onion and lettuce. The per-drop count is the part that scales: a base-rank Vaelet hands over 1-2 at a time, and the top of the table pays 4-11 on the same 20% roll. Vaelet is also the only Grass Pal on the ranch list that produces seeds at all, so there is no substitute to breed toward.
- (strategy) Do not farm the droppers for these. Every merchant that stocks them sells at 20 Gold, which puts a Wheat Plantation's full seed cost at 60 Gold — less than a single Wheat is worth at 70 Gold once the plot starts producing. The 100% drop rates on Souffline, Lifmunk, Herbil and Hangyu are worth collecting only as a by-product of fights you were already taking; deliberately hunting them to skip a 60-Gold purchase is the slower path by a wide margin. Buy three, build the plot, and put a Vaelet on a Ranch if you want a standing seed supply for the other five crops as well.
