## Notes we already publish

- (use) One gun family drinks these rounds: the Beam Scatter ([[item:WidePenetrateShotgun]]), and every rarity of it, up to the Legendary build rolled from Beam Scatter Schematic 4 ([[item:Blueprint_WidePenetrateShotgun_5]]). No conventional shotgun touches them — the Pump-Action and Semi-Auto lines stay on ordinary Shotgun Ammo ([[item:ShotgunBullet]]), so upgrading to the Beam Scatter means switching your whole ammunition supply chain over to the Ancient Workbench at the same time.
- (strategy) Budget in magazines, not in rounds. A base Beam Scatter holds 30, the Legendary holds 38, and one craft yields 10 — so a full Legendary magazine is four batches, or 4 Bio Battery, 12 Paloxite Ingot and 8 Soralite Ingot. Buying instead of crafting is not a fallback at 7,830 Gold apiece: a single magazine off the Caravan Shop shelf runs close to 300,000 Gold, which is why the ingot chain is the real gate on how often you can field the weapon. Weight is the one thing that never bites — at 0.025 each, 400 rounds cost 10 carry, well past what a raid will spend.
