# Dazzi Noct

It warms up to lonely Pals intending to catch them off guard and strike, but the right opening never comes and it ends up actually befriending them.

## Notes we already publish

- (use) Lady of Dark Lightning costs nothing and asks nothing of you. The skill reads "while in party" — Dazzi Noct materialises beside you on its own and keeps pelting whatever you are fighting with Dark bolts, so a different Pal can be the one you actually deployed and you still get the extra damage. There is no gear to unlock, no button, no cooldown and no cost, which makes it one of the cheapest permanent damage bonuses you can carry.
- (use) The bolts scale with the partner skill rank, and the ladder is worth condensing for: the follow-up lands at ×1 damage at rank 1, then ×1.1, ×1.3, ×1.6 and ×2 at rank 5. The in-game tooltip only names it as a Follow-Up Boost of S, M, L then XL from rank 2 upward, so the actual doubling at full condense is easy to miss — four Dazzi Noct fed into the Condenser is what turns this from a trickle into a real second attacker.
- (catch) The follow-up cannot land a killing blow — the bolts refuse to take a target below 1 HP. That makes Dazzi Noct the safest Pal to have riding in your party while you hunt: it will grind a wild Pal down toward the red for you and can never, by any accident, destroy the one you meant to catch. The other half of that rule is that it will never finish anything for you either, so the last hit and the sphere are still your job.
- (strategy) Dazzi and Dazzi Noct run the identical follow-up on the identical ×1 to ×2 ladder — the only difference is the bolt's element, Dark here against the original's Electric. So keep the pair and pick by prey: the Noct's Dark bolts bite hardest into Neutral Pals, while the plain Dazzi is the one to bench-swap in for a Water hunt. Neither choice changes anything else about the skill.
