# Eikthyrdeer Terra

The hardest horns decide who leads, and losing them means losing that position. It departs the herd under farewell glances and returns quietly to the earth.

## Notes we already publish

- (catch) Every wild spawn it has sits inside No. 1 Wildlife Sanctuary, and it is the only Pal that appears on both of that island's rosters. On the forest roster it holds 100 of 320 weight — 31%, the largest single share there, ahead of Elgrove at 25% and Vaelet and Penking at 16% each. On the grass roster it is 100 of 390, 26%, level with Azurobe and Penking. Roughly one island spawn in three or four is the deer you came for, so the wait is short; the price is that the sanctuary is kept under permanent watch by ancient anti-poacher drones, which means going in with a flyer and an exit plan rather than a fight plan.
- (catch) Nothing on that island reaches the top of the level range quoted above. Both sanctuary rosters cap it in the low twenties — the level-80 version is one World Tree aura entry worth 10 weight out of 7,220 on that roster, which you will effectively never roll. Kit the catch out for a low-twenties target and stop there.
- (use) Guardian of the Golden Forest is a base aura, not a mount perk: while it is assigned to a base camp it lifts the Lumbering rank of every other Pal working there by one. Two things the skill card never says — it is excluded from its own buff, so its own Lumbering 2 stays 2, and a second Eikthyrdeer Terra in the same base adds nothing, because the effect does not stack between copies of the same Pal. The skill is keyed to the Eikthyrdeer Terra Saddle at technology 21, so that craft is the real unlock.
- (use) All five partner ranks carry the same +1, so condensing this one buys stats and nothing else — unlike plain Eikthyrdeer, whose partner skill is a riding-only logging bonus whose value more than doubles from rank 1 to rank 5. The two deer do opposite jobs: ride the plain one to fell trees faster yourself, park the Terra at the lumber base and let it raise everyone else's rank. At 2 of 10 food units it is about the cheapest aura you can leave standing there.
