# Helzephyr Lux

It also calls lightning up from the depths of hell. It is treated as a subspecies of Helzephyr, though one theory holds that a Helzephyr Lux struck by that hellish lightning becomes a Helzephyr.

## Notes we already publish

- (catch) Past the wild birds and the Cherry Blossom Cave boss there is a third Helzephyr Lux — the Rampaging one, an XL-size Predator encounter that sits a full rarity step above the ordinary bird. It does not fight like the cavern boss either: its health pool is doubled again on top of the boss frame, it deals five times the damage a normal Helzephyr Lux puts out, and it eats all but 20% of yours. Flinch and knockback are both switched off, so the stagger-and-interrupt rhythm that trivialises a wild one is simply unavailable. Sphere odds carry the same 0.7 correction as the cave boss, so the tier you would take into the cavern is the tier to bring.
- (drops) The Rampaging kill pays out on a completely separate table: Electric Organ and the Medium Pal Soul are dialled to 0% and never appear, and in their place sit 4 Predator Cores and 4 Giant Pal Souls, both guaranteed. Cores are the real prize — they are the gate on the permanent player stat upgrades, one per Remedy and two per Elixir, so a single fight funds two Elixirs of whichever line you are chasing (Might, Vital, Speed, Stamina or Burden). The Giant Pal Souls feed a Statue of Power, and four of them is eight Great Pal Souls you no longer have to craft up.
- (strategy) That encounter does not run the skill list on this page. Shockwave is dropped and three Predator-exclusive moves are threaded in: a 200-power wave inside 1000 range from Lv 10, a 400-power lock-on shot reaching 5000 from Lv 20, and a 600-power beam out to 3000 from Lv 30, all on 20-second cooldowns. Every one of them is Neutral, which is the trap — a Ground Pal answers the Electric half of the kit and does nothing whatsoever about the three hardest hits. Stun effects do still land even though flinch does not, so status is the only reliable way to buy yourself a gap. The payoff for surviving it is experience: the encounter is rated at 40× the normal yield, four times what the cavern boss gives.
