# Splatterina

Ripping prey apart is a compulsion it cannot rein in, and every individual works to its own exacting sequence of dismemberment. Anyone it catches had better hope the head goes first.

## Notes we already publish

- (use) The partner-skill ladder above reads "Meat Cut Add Item Drop", which buries what the skill is actually for: the Meat Cleaver, the level-12 technology that swaps your Pet command over to Butcher. Butchering a Pal wipes it from your box permanently and hands you its drop list instead, and Blade of Uncontrolled Passion inflates that payout — doubled at rank 1, tripled once the ladder tops out at +200%. Nothing has to be equipped on Splatterina and it never has to be the Pal you send out; sitting in a party slot is the entire requirement.
- (use) The bonus is flagged in-game as non-stacking, so a second Splatterina on the team is dead weight — the game reads one of them and ignores the rest. That makes this a rare case where the answer is to keep exactly one and put every duplicate you catch into the Condenser instead, since raising that single Pal's rank is the only lever that moves the multiplier.
- (drops) There is a Predator Splatterina as well, and it is a separate encounter from the Lv 65 alpha rather than a tougher version of it: one individual, level 55, night only. Its loot has nothing to do with the Dark Fragments a wild one leaves — it pays 3–4 Predator Cores and 3–4 Giant Pal Souls, and the Souls are what a Statue of Power eats to pull hidden stats out of a Pal. Worth planning a night run around if you are pushing a favourite's ranks.
- (strategy) Grudge Barrage is filed as a Melee skill yet lists a 4000 range, and both readings are correct — Splatterina blinks onto whatever it is aiming at before the first slash, then teleports overhead, buries the blade and throws off a wave of dark energy. Fighting one, distance buys you nothing during that 24-second window; using one, you can trigger it from clear across a fight and let the teleport close the gap for you.
