How to Use the Recipe Planner

Pick a target and a quantity and the planner walks the whole recipe tree, then rolls every branch back into the raw materials you actually have to gather. That is the number that matters: a recipe listing "3 Ingots" is really asking for the ore behind them, and the ore is what costs you the afternoon.

Worked example. Ask for one piece of late-game armour and the tree expands past the refined components into ore, wood and fibre. Read the raw total first, check it against what is in your chests, and only then decide whether the missing piece is a mining trip or a merchant purchase.

Use it before you build, not after. The common mistake is crafting the intermediate components in the order they appear, running out of one raw material halfway, and leaving a half-finished chain in storage. Plan the whole thing, gather once, craft once.
