Glowing jobs are the ones each Pal leads for your base. A Pal automatically performs every job it is suited for, so extra slots add throughput.

How to Read Base Work Suitability

Every base job has a level, and a Pal only works a station if its suitability level meets what the station asks for. A level 3 miner does not just mine faster than a level 1 — it unlocks work the level 1 cannot do at all, which is why one specialist usually beats three generalists on the same job.

Worked example. A camp that keeps stalling on ore is rarely short of miners; it is short ofrank. Swap one low-level miner for a higher-rank one and the queue clears, without adding a Pal to feed. Food and bed capacity are the hidden cap on everything else.

Cover the chain, not the headcount. Kindling, watering and transporting are the jobs that silently block production when nobody has them — the optimiser highlights the gaps so you can see which single catch would unblock the most stations.
