Oil Rig Crates and Treasure Maps
The two container channels that carry the game's best schematics — 311 oil rig drops and 302 treasure map drops, each with the real chance of finding it.
Most gear in Palworld comes out of a container rather than off a boss, and two channels carry the top tier: the crates that sit on the oil rigs out at sea, and the digs you get from treasure maps. Everything below is what those two actually pay, and the percentages are per container — not a share of some internal table.
Oil Rig Crates
The rigs are standing structures out on the water, defended and reachable only by flying or swimming mount. There are a small and a large variant, and the large one carries the better crate table — worth knowing before you spend the flight. Crude Oil is guaranteed on every rig, which is the practical reason to keep going back once the schematics have stopped being new.
194 schematics sit on these tables. They are the reason to clear a rig rather than just pull the oil, and the top tiers cluster on the large rig.

Treasure Map Digs
Treasure maps come in five tiers, and the tier decides the table rather than the location — a tier 5 map is worth crossing the island for, a tier 1 rarely is. Every tier guarantees a healing item of matching quality, which makes the low tiers a steady medicine supply even when the rest of the roll disappoints.
222 schematics appear across the five tiers. They are on more tables than any other channel, but each individual chance is small — this is the widest net rather than the fastest route.

If a specific schematic is what you are after, check its own page first — every item lists all of its sources with the odds side by side, and some of the best weapons are simply bought outright for arena tickets instead. Where a schematic appears on both channels, the rig crate is usually the higher single chance and the map digs the more repeatable one.
