Using Advanced Arrow Well
The recipe is a Technology tree entry, not a schematic: level 57 for 1 Technology point. The Advanced Bow sits on that same level for 3 points, so fielding the weapon is a 4-point purchase in one go, and the two entries are separate buys — spend on the bow alone and you own a bow you cannot feed. Until you unlock the ammo the caravan is the only supply line, which makes the arrows a gold cost instead of a workshop cost.
Nothing in the recipe restricts the station. The item text names the Primitive Workbench because that is the lowest bench that accepts the job, not the only one — every crafting station above it, up through the Ancient Workbench, produces the same batch. What does change is time: one batch of 10 is 40,000 work, so this belongs in a production or weapon assembly line with Handiwork Pals parked on it rather than on your own hands while you wait.
Batch math is worth doing before a hunt. Ten arrows come off 2 Plasteel and 5 Carbon Fiber, so a working load of 100 costs 20 Plasteel and 50 Carbon Fiber and weighs 2.5 — light enough that there is no reason to carry a short quiver. Carbon Fiber is the binding material at five per batch, and it is the one worth stockpiling ahead of the level 57 unlock, since Plasteel demand here is trivial next to what your armour and guns already want.
