Grenade Ammo
Ammo · ConsumeBullet0★Rounds lobbed by the Grenade Launcher and similar weapons, produced on Weapon Assembly Line II.
This is where the crafting chain ends — nothing downstream consumes it, so a stockpile earns you nothing.
Details
It weighs almost nothing and stacks to 9,999, so there is no reason not to carry a full stack.
Grenade Ammo Crafting Recipe
Crafting it takes 25 materials across 3 types, and the bottleneck is almost always the 20× requirement — line that up first and the rest follows. Each craft returns 10, so the real cost per unit is lower than the list suggests.
Where to Find Grenade Ammo
If you would rather just buy it, the seller is Caravan Shop at 470 Gold.
It also shows up as world loot — crates on the oil rigs and junk hauls while fishing in the Sakurajima, usually 100–200 at a time.
| How | Where | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Merchant | Caravan Shop | 470 Gold |
| World loot | Junk hauls while fishing in the Sakurajima | Grade 1 · 25.0% chance · 5–10 at a time |
| World loot | Crates on the oil rigs | Grade 5 · 14.3% chance · 100–200 at a time |
Using Grenade Ammo Well
The recipe unlocks in the Technology tree at level 53 for 1 point. Grenade Launcher itself unlocks at the same level but costs 5 points, so set aside 6 points at 53 if you want the launcher firing the day you build it.
These rounds feed Grenade Launcher, including every schematic-upgraded version of it from Uncommon up to Legendary. The Tactical Grenade Launcher is a separate weapon that runs on Tactical Grenade Launcher Ammo, so a stockpile of Grenade Ammo does nothing for it.
Buying is a last resort: the Caravan Shop charges 470 Gold per round, while one craft turns 2 Pal Metal Ingot, 20 Fiber and 3 Gunpowder into 10 rounds. Keep a Fiber and Gunpowder line running at base instead of restocking from merchants.
Weapons That Fire Grenade Ammo
5 weapons take Grenade Ammo, which makes it worth stockpiling — one crafting run supplies the whole class.
