Reinforced Arrow
Ammo · ConsumeBullet0★Sturdier shafts matched to the Compound Bow, made at a Primitive Workbench.
No recipe takes it as an ingredient. Whatever you build is the finished article, so there is no reason to hoard spares.
Details
It weighs almost nothing and stacks to 9,999, so there is no reason not to carry a full stack.
Reinforced Arrow Crafting Recipe
Crafting it takes 4 materials across 2 types. Each craft returns 10, so the real cost per unit is lower than the list suggests.
Where to Find Reinforced Arrow
If you would rather just buy it, the seller is Caravan Shop at 370 Gold.
It also shows up as world loot — chests in the Desert, chests in the Snowfields and fishing in the Desert, and 3 more pools besides, usually 5–10 at a time. Higher-grade chests carry the better rolls, so the ones guarded by a camp are usually worth the detour.
Chests inside 2 caverns, including Astral Mountains Cavern and Cavern of the Dunes, can hold it as well.
At 370 Gold apiece the Caravan is a stopgap, not a supply. One craft cycle costs 2 Refined Ingot and 2 Carbon Fiber and returns 10 arrows, so the bottleneck is Carbon Fiber and therefore coal — a base parked on a desert coal node feeds the bow far more cheaply than a merchant run does. Weight is 0.025 each, so a thousand-arrow stockpile is 25 weight and the stack cap of 9999 will never be the limit.

Using Reinforced Arrow Well
The recipe is gated at Technology level 42 and costs one point, which is late — but the gate only stops you crafting them. Arrows you looted or bought fire from a Compound Bow (Compound Bow) the moment you own the weapon, and desert and snowfield chests hand them out in batches of 5–10 at a third and a quarter of their rolls respectively. Plenty of players hit level 42 with a few hundred already banked from chest runs and never spend the point until they want a steady supply line.
Nothing else in the arrow tree moves between level 8 and level 42. Plain Arrow unlocks at 3, Fire Arrow at 6, Poison Arrow at 8, and then the tree goes quiet for thirty-four levels until this one — so the whole mid game is spent shooting the starting arrow out of progressively better bows. Reinforced Arrow then holds the slot until Advanced Arrow arrives at 57 and the Advanced Bow takes over, which is a narrow enough window that the point is only worth spending if you plan to stay on the bow rather than switch to firearms at 40-something.
Weapons That Fire Reinforced Arrow
5 weapons take Reinforced Arrow, which makes it worth stockpiling — one crafting run supplies the whole class.
