Using Advanced Recovery Meds Well
The heal is a regen, not a burst: it ticks 15 HP every second for 600 seconds, so a single dose is worth up to 9,000 HP if you live long enough to collect it. Drinking one at 10% HP will not save you from a boss combo — swallow it before you engage, then let the tick outpace chip damage.
Every tier shares the same 600-second timer and 1-second tick, only the per-tick number changes: Low Quality Recovery Meds heals 3, Recovery Meds heals 5, High Quality Recovery Meds heals 10, and this one heals 15. Since the duration never scales, the whole point of the top tier is raw healing per second — carry it for fights where incoming damage would out-pace a 10 HP tick, and save the cheaper stock for topping up between encounters.
Unlocking it costs 2 technology points at level 61, but the recipe is useless until you also buy the Advanced Medicine Workbench — another 4 points at the same level. Budget all 6 points for the same level-up if you want to be brewing these the moment you hit 61.
It works on pals as well as on you — pick it in your inventory and choose a party member, or walk up to a base pal and use Feed Pal from its menu. It cannot bring back a pal that has already gone down, though; that still needs a Revival Potion.
Each unit takes 100,000 work to craft, four times what High Quality Recovery Meds needs. On a hand-cranked bench that is punishing; staff the Advanced Medicine Workbench with your highest-level Medicine Production pals and let the base run batches overnight instead of standing there crafting them yourself.
