There is nothing to research first either — the recipe carries no technology unlock, so any cooking station you have built can already make it.
The cook costs 3,200 work, which is where this dish stops being a good deal. Grilled Chikipi restores the same 50 hunger for 500 work — six times faster off the same fire. If your kitchen queue is the bottleneck rather than your meat supply, feed it Chikipi meat and keep the Galeclaw Poultry for a Pal's feed box.
