Using Gloopie Tentacle Well
The three dishes want more than tentacles. Fried Gloopie Balls is 2 tentacles plus 3 Flour; Seafood Salad is 3 plus 4 Lettuce; Seafood Pasta is 3 plus 3 Flour and 2 Tomato. Each cook yields one serving, so a farm run that ignores the wheat plot or the greenhouse stalls the moment you have the meat.
Only one of those recipes is worth the fuel. A raw tentacle restores 40 hunger, so the 2 that go into Fried Gloopie Balls are worth 80 and the dish also restores 80 — the flour buys you nothing but 1 sanity. Seafood Salad is worse: 3 tentacles (120 raw) become a 95-hunger plate. Seafood Pasta turns the same 3 into 193 hunger and 15 sanity, and it is the only one that pays for the ingredients. Cook pasta, keep the rest of your stock raw.
Both Gloopies drop this on every kill, 1–2 a time, so budget 2–3 defeats per Seafood Pasta and stop killing once the flour is the thing you are short of. They are skittish and will run rather than fight, and they swim faster than they walk — corner them on land or bring a mount that can keep up in water.
Farm at night. Gloopie is nocturnal and its night spawn footprint is close to three times its daytime one, so the same circuit run after dark meets far more of them. Gloopie Primo does not care — its day and night spawn sets are identical, which makes Gloopie Primo the one to hunt if you are working in daylight.
