Where to Find Milk

Using Milk Well
The Ranch is a Technology level 5 unlock, so a Mozzarina on a ranch can be producing Milk long before most cooking stations exist. That is the only renewable supply — everything else is a one-off drop or a 200 Gold purchase.
Cake eats 7 Milk per batch and Cake is what the Breeding Farm consumes, so any serious breeding run is really a Milk-supply problem. Two or three Mozzarina on ranches keeps eggs coming without buying Milk.
Ranch output stops when the assigned Pal gets hungry or exhausted, so a Milk farm needs a stocked Feed Box (Technology level 4) and beds within walking distance of the ranch. A Mozzarina that keeps wandering off to look for food produces nothing while it walks.
Milk decays in storage. Keep the stockpile in a Cooler Box (Technology level 13) or, later, a Refrigerator (Technology level 38); a plain chest will rot a ranch's worth of Milk while you are out exploring.
